Panneer Paratha

Ingredients

Maida 1 cup
Flour 1 cup
Ghee 3 Table spoon
Peas 300 grams
Paneer 200 grams
Butter Milk 1/2 cup
Ginger
Green Chilli 10pc.
Corriander
Garam Masala 1 Table spoon
Salt
Onion 2pc.
Garlic
Method
Mix flour ,maida & ghee.
Add Butter milk and make a tough dough.
Add salt and green chilli.
Grind Ginger,onion,garlic and corriander and make fine paste.
Roast peas in a pan with 2 table spoon of ghee.
After frying add paste in it.
Add Garam masala in it and fry little more.
Grind peas finely.

MASALA NOODLES

Ingredients:

1 packet Noodles
2 Onion (Pyaj)
3 – 4 chopped Tomato (Tamatar)
4 tsp chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania Patta)
1 ” chopped Ginger (Adrak)
3 – 4 flakes chopped Garlic (Lasun)
4 5 chopped Green chilli (Hari mirch)
1/2 tsp Red chili pepper (Lal Mirchi)
1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tblsp Oil

How to make masala noodles:

* Boil the noodles as directed on the pack.
* Drain them in a strainer and wash with cold water. Keep aside.
* Heat oil in a nonstick pan and fry garlic, ginger, green chillies and onions until they are golden.

CURD RICE RECIPE

Ingredients:

1 cup boiled Rice
2 cups Yogurt (Curd)
2 tblsp Oil
1/4 cup Milk
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves
1-2 Green Chilies
1 tsp Chana Daal
1 tsp Urad Daal
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 1/2 tsp finely chopped Ginger
2 tblsp desiccated Coconut
1/2 tsp Salt

How to make curd rice :

* In a saucepan heat 2 tablespoonful of oil.
* Add mustard seeds to the oil.
* When the mustard seeds start popping add chana and urad daal.
* After a minute, add in the ginger, coriander and green chilies.
* Saute them for a minute. Take the pan off the gas.

VEG SALAD WITH YOGURT DIP

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Mint leaves
4 cloves Garlic
8-10 Cherry Tomatoes
3 medium Carrots
1 medium White Radish
4 Red Radish
8-10 leaves Ice lettuce
2 medium Cucumbers
4 cups Skimmed Milk Yogurt
1/4 tsp Sesame Seeds (white)
1 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt to taste

How to make veg salad with yogurt dip:

* Wash the cherry tomatoes & cut them into halves.
* Peel carrots, wash & cut it into finger sized pieces. peel white radish, wash & cut into finger sized pieces.

Murgh Tikka Haryali

INGREDIENTS
1 kg : Boneless Chicken
5 tbsp : Ginger paste
5 tbsp : Garlic paste
2 tsp : chilli powder
2 tbsp : Garam Masala
3/4 cup : thick Dahi(curd)
1/2 cup : thick cream
1 bunch : Coriander
1 bunch : mint leaves
10-12 : spinach leaves
3 tbsp : lemon juice
salt to taste
Oil for Basting

Goa police visit Sangli to quiz detained Sanatan activists

Panaji/Mumbai, October 18: A Goa police team has left for Sangli district in Maharashtra to interrogate three Sanatan Sanstha activists who were detained in connection with the improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Goa Friday night, authorities said Sunday.

A Mumbai police anti-terror squad team has also arrived here on the request of police investigators here who are probing the blast case.

Police officers said they believed the bomb was meant for a Hindu gathering in Margao which the Hindu group, Sanatan Sanstha, bitterly opposes.

Three swine flu deaths take toll to 408 in India

New Delhi, October 18: Two people died of swine flu in Maharashtra while one person succumbed in Uttarakhand, taking the all India toll to 408, a health ministry official said on Sunday.

Maharashtra, which tops the casualty list, has reported a total of 173 deaths.

Uttarakhand has reported its third death. According to the official, the person who died October 14 in Uttarakhand has been confirmed to have died of H1N1.

Philippine Muslim rebels say met US diplomats

Philippines, October 18: Leaders of the Philippines’ largest Muslim separatist group said Sunday they had met US diplomats and called for Washington’s involvement to help broker a peace deal.

The meeting between Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief Murad Ebrahim and US charge d’affaires Leslie Bassett took place on Friday at Darapanan, the rebel group’s main training camp on Mindanao island, an MILF statement said.

US embassy spokeswoman Rebecca Thompson told AFP: “Ms Bassett met with various leaders and officials in Cotabato as part of a routine familiarisation visit.”

Main accused in provident fund scam dies in Ghaziabad jail

Ghaziabad, October 18: Arrested court official Ashutosh Asthana, the key to the multi-crore provident fund (PF) scam in which some judges of the higher judiciary were also named, has died at Dasna district jail in Ghaziabad, police said on Sunday.

Asthana, a district court middle-rung officer, who earned notoriety on account of embezzlement of the provident fund of the Ghaziabad district court staff died on Saturday.

Panel may seek withdrawal of deemed status of some institutes

New Delhi, October 18: A high-level committee, appointed by the government to review the functioning of the deemed universities, is likely to suggest withdrawal of the status from a few institutions for serious shortcomings in their facilities and poor standard of faculty.

The committee, which is likely to submit its report to the HRD Ministry tomorrow, may recommend the tough action with a suggestion that the government should give the institutions some time to comply with, sources said.

Pak claims 60 militants killed in operation

Islamabad, October 18: The Pakistani Army says 60 militants have been killed in the first 24 hours of a major operation against the Taliban close to the Afghan border.

An army statement said on Sunday that six soldiers had been killed over the same time period.

It was not possible to independently verify those figures because the Army prevents reporters from getting close to the battlefield.

New Delhi, October 18: The first IIT Council meeting under the chairmanship of HRD Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday is expected to frame a multi-pronged policy, including introducing scholarships and reducing of fee, to attract more foreign students at post-graduate level in the institutes.

The council will also decide on allowing the prestigious IITs to create extra seats for foreign students at PG level to ensure that youths from other countries take part in research and development in a big way.

Boiled eggs in Tomato Sauce

INGREDIENTS
4 boiled eggs
1 tbsp black pepper
salt to taste
For sauce:
1 tomato juice
chilly powder to taste
salt to taste
tomato ketchup 1tbsp
Fresh Coriander Leaves

METHOD
Shell the eggs and then remove the yolk by just cutting the top of the eggs white. To the yolk add black pepper salt to taste and then refill the yolk back inside the white covering seal the top of it by a toothpick.

Now prepare the sauce by adding the tomato juice, chilly powder, salt and tomato ketchup and the Fresh Coriander Leaves. Heat it in a vessel.

26/11 terror attacks: India to send evidence to Pak

Mumbai, October 18: Statements of key witnesses in the 26/11 case in an anti-terror court here will be forwarded by India to Pakistan to be used as evidence in the trial there, special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said here on Sunday.

The court has allowed the prosecution’s plea for certified copies of the statements and within a day or two they will be forwarded to Pakistan through diplomatic channels, Nikam told a news agency.

Goa sleuths with Maharashtra ATS probe Margao blast

Panaji, October 18: Goa sleuths in collaboration with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra stepped up investigation into the Friday night scooter blast in Margao city, to uncover the suspected role of the Hindu right-wing group of Sanathan Sanstha.

”We are trying to find out any link between Margao and Malegao (Maharashtra) blasts and the complicity of the Saunstha activists in them,” an investigating senior police officer told UNI here today.

Rio gangs shoot down police chopper, 12 killed

Rio de Janerio, October 18: At least 12 people were killed and a helicopter was downed in fierce clashes between drug gangs and police in Rio de Janeiro, weeks after the city won its bid to host the 2016 Olympics.

Two policemen were killed and two others were wounded early yesterday when their helicopter was shot down by drug gangs in a day of running battles in the slums of northern Rio, said military police commander Mario Sergio Duarte.

Iran to seek guaranteed supply of nuclear fuel at Vienna

Tehran, October 18: Iran will enter Vienna talks with big powers on Sunday seeking a guaranteed supply of 20 percent enriched uranium, insisting that it will make up any shortfall by domestic production, experts and officials say.

Iranian observers say Tehran will also today attempt to further allay concerns over its atomic programme, which global powers suspect is aimed at making nuclear weapons, a charge strongly denied by the Islamic republic.

Properties worth Rs 13 lakh gutted in fire

Vijayawada, October 18: Properties worth Rs 13 lakh were destroyed in two fire mishaps in the city during the last 24 hours.

According sources, nine shops were gutted in the mango market in the city late last night when a fire cracker fell on a fruit shop and caused fire.

Three fire tenders were pressed into service. The flames could be brought to control after two hours.

The loss was estimated to be Rs three lakh, the sources added. In another incident, properties worth Rs ten lakh were gutted into fire in an agro oil products mill unit in Gudivada Town in Krishna District.

Hyderabd, October 18: The Agriculture Officer of Devarkadra Mandal in Mahaboobngar District, who had attempted to commit suicide after being unable to bear the harassement allegedly by the public representatives, succumbed to her burn injuries while udnergoing treatment in a Corporate Hospital here early today.

Rajeswari attempted to commit suicide at her residence Dhanyawada by pouring kerosene and setting afire herself on October 14 due to harassement allegedly by the public representatives.

I underestimated Taliban’s extremism: Freed US reporter

Washington, October 18: A New York Times reporter kidnapped by the Taliban in 2008 and held for seven months in Pakistan has said he had underestimated Taliban’s extremism and the strength of its supporters in Pakistan.

“Over those months, I came to a simple realisation,” the reporter, David Rohde, wrote about his ordeal. “After seven years of reporting in the region, I did not fully understand how extreme many of the Taliban had become.”

Malaysia detains 18 Afghans in boat to Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur, October 18: Malaysian police detained 18 Afghan immigrants trying to sail illegally to Indonesia in a rickety boat, an official said on Sunday.

Authorities found the immigrants with two Indonesian boatmen while patrolling waters between peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia’s Sumatra Island late yesterday, said Marzuki Ismail, the marine police chief of central Selangor state.
