Washington, April 23 (ANI): Alternative therapies such as aerobic exercise, resistance or strength training, and isometric hand grip exercises reduce blood pressure and can be considered an adjunctive treatment for those who can’t tolerate or don’t respond well to standard medications, according to the American Heart Association.

In a new scientific statement, the association said alternative approaches could also help people with blood pressure levels higher than 120/80 mm Hg.

Apple returns 8M worth `faulty` smartphones to Chinese manufacturer Foxconn

New York, Apr.23 (ANI): Apple has returned five to eight million iphones to manufacturer Foxconn as it claimed these phones were unfit to sell.

The smartphones appeared to be non-compliant and had dysfunctional problems, pc magazine reports.

With the selling price of 200 dollars per phone, Foxconn will now have to spend more than one billion dollar to make up for the devices to replace the defective parts in the smartphones. Dog eats owner”s head after getting trapped in apartment when she died

New York, April 23(ANI): A German Shepherd cross ate his owner”s head after it got trapped in her Spanish flat when she died.

Police claim that the German Shepherd cross became so hungry that he consumed most of Amparo C.R.”s body so he wouldn”t starve to death.

Officers were called to the flat in Valencia last week after neighbors complained about a foul smell, and were left horrified to find the half-eaten corpse of the 72-year-old lady, the New York Daily News reported.

The dog, barking nearby, had remains of his dead owner”s blood in his fur.

French bus drivers set to strike over new skintight uniforms

New York, April 23(ANI): Bus drivers in France have decided to go on a strike because of their new close-fitting uniforms.

About 1,600 workers for RTM in Marseille are angry about not being consulted on the updated garments and are now planning a 24-hour walkout in June in protest, the New York Daily News reported.

A bus driver told La Provence, that he would not be wearing the uniform as they make them look like a car repair company worker.

He added that the shirts are alright, but the trousers are far too tight to be worn.

The trio of “PhoneSats” is operating in orbit, and may prove to be the lowest-cost satellites ever flown in space. The goal of NASA`s PhoneSat mission is to determine whether a consumer-grade smartphone can be used as the main flight avionics of a capable, yet very inexpensive, satellite.

London, April 23 (ANI): Some satellite orbits will become extremely hazardous over the next 200 years if space debris is not actively tackled, a new study has warned.

The research found that catastrophic space debris collisions would likely occur every five to nine years at the altitudes used principally to observe the Earth.

And the scientists who conducted the study for the Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee said that the real outcome would probably be far worse, the BBC reported.

Indian, Chinese army officers meet to defuse border tensions

(IANS) Senior officers of the Indian and Chinese armies held a flag meeting in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday following an incursion by troops of the Peoples Liberation Army. India hoped that the issue would be resolved peacefully as has happened with such incidents in the past.

The brigadier-level meeting was held at Daulat Beg Oldie, the highest airstrip in the world at 5,100 metres that India reactivated in 2008, sources said.
