Pradeep Kumar Saxena, General Manager, South Western Railway, Hubli has been posted as In-charge General Manager of South Central Railway today. He will be taking over charge subsequent to the superannuation of P.K.Srivastava, General Manager, SCR who retired on June 30.
P.K. Saxena belongs to the Indian Railway Service of Engineer (IRSE) of 1977 batch. He completed his Graduation in Civil Engineering from Rewa Engineering College, Madhya Pradesh in 1977 and started his career as Assistant Engineer in Khandwa of Central Railway in the year 1980.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today condoled the death of Susheela, 65, mother of Director General of Police Anurag Sharma.

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said nobody, including former APCC Chief D Srinivas and CLP leader K Jana Reddy were leaving the Congress.

On Wednesday, Uttam Kumar responded to the news that both senior leaders — D Srinivas and K Jana Reddy — were leaving the Congress and made it clear that both would not leave the party. He said he didn’t know as to why Jana Reddy met TRS MP and senior leader B Vinod Kumar. He exuded confidence that there was no dearth of leadership in the Congress in Telangana State. The Congress will sweep the ensuing elections in the State, he added.

Tollywood actor Allu Arjun here on Wednesday consoled four children, who were suffering from cancer.

Knowing about the deteriorating condition of the cancer affected children through Make A Wish Foundation, Allu Arjun called on the kids and spent time with them to make them happy. He also talked to the doctors and parents of the children about the condition of the kids.

Speaking on the occasion, Arjun said fulfilling the wish of children on the death bed was a great thing. He also called upon people to lend cooperation to Make A Wish Foundation in its noble activity. (NSS)

Telangana State CPI has condemned the illegal arrest of Left Wing student leaders and lathi-charge on the student unions’ protesting program against the privatization of education and collection of donations in schools.
On Wednesday, several Left Parties student unions have taken up agitation protesting against the collection of donations by big educational managements from poor and middle class children.

Smt Susheela, mother of Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma, passed away here on Wednesday.

Hundreds of TDP workers gave a rousing reception to TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy who came out on bail from the Cherlapally Central Prison on Wednesday evening.

Although the Hyderabad High Court had granted bail to Revanth Reddy in the ‘Cash for Vote’ case on Tuesday, his release was delayed by a day due to technical and legal glitches. Revanth Reddy and two other accused Sebastian and Uday Simha were lodged in Cherlapally Jail ever since their arrest by the Anti-Corruption Bureau n May 31.
