On the request of residents of Banjara Hills, First Lancer, Ahmed Nagar Zahra Nagar and surrounding areas, Siasat and Minorities Development Forum (MDF) are organising the 43rd Du Ba Du programme on Sunday, July 5, at Khaja Mansion Function Hall, Mansaheb Tank, Banjara Hills Road.

Mr. Abid Siddiqui president MDF told that in view of the month of Holy Ramadan the programme is being organised as several Muslim youth visit their hometown from gulf countries, America and Australia and London.

Jalsa Yaumul Quran by Majlis Bachao Tahreek will be held at Makkah Masjid on July 3 after Friday prayers. Dr. Qayam Khan president Tahreek will supervise. Programme will begin with the Quranic recitation of Hafez and Qari Syed Abdul Qader Faisal. Meraj Ahmed, Mohammed Naseeruddin, Hafez Nawal ur Rahman, Syed Ali Adil will present Naat-e-Shareef. Senior leaders of the Tahreek Maulana Syed Taher, Syed Mustafa Mahmood and other leaders will address. Mohammed Majeedullah Khan Farhat will deliver special address. Qari Sikander Mirza will organise the programme.

Concerned over the increasing number of divorce cases in the community over trivial issues, the Minorities Welfare Department has come up with a marriage counseling centre for Muslims at hajj house.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali will inaugurate the counseling centre on Thursday. The counseling centre will function under the directions of a committee with a former Judge E. Esmail as chairman and five other members.

According to Mr. Shaikh Husain Organising Secretary Telangana State Government Retired Employees Association, a meeting of the association will be held on July 5, from 11 am, at Azam Function Hall, Azampura. President association Mr. Mohammed Jamaluddin will preside over.

Hyderabad’s Freshwater Biology Regional Centre (FBRC) will on Thursday celebrate 100 years of Zoological Survey of India (ZSI). The organisation, which completed 100 years on Wednesday, will unveil sculptures and hold discussions with the aim of generating awareness on conservation.

Ministry of Human Resource Development issued a show cause notice to Shashanta Datta Gupta, VC of Vishwabharati University asking him to explain the financial and administrative irregularities committed in the university which were pointed out by the three member enquiry committee. The VC has been given 21 days time to offer his explanation. In case he fails to offer his explanation, disciplinary action would be taken against him. President of India who is the Visitor of the University may apply section 16 of the Act to remove VC.
