Xolo has uploaded a new video on YouTube, which shows its new device ‘Xolo Black’. Xolo Black is shown as a smudge and stain free device. According to the in.techradar.com, the new video gives a glance of the dual rear cameras as well as the SIM card tray placed on the left hand side of the handset.

It also shows that the device will be launched on Flipkart. Xolo, which drew flak from the social media users for intentionally leaking out some hardware details of its phone, will want to put all that behind and unveil the phone as early as possible.

Jaya headed for massive win, party supporters celebrate

AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was today headed for a clear victory as she secured an unassailable lead of over 62,000 votes over her CPI rival in the R K Nagar Assembly seat bypoll.

At the end of seven rounds of counting, Jayalalithaa had secured 67,453 votes against CPI candidate C Mahendran’s 4,816. Social activist ‘Traffic’ Ramaswamy had polled 2226 votes.

Rajnath Singh to review security

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive here on Wednesday on a two-day visit to review the security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra and offer prayers at the Himalayan cave shrine on July 2.

The home minister will review the security arrangements for this year’s Amarnath Yatra along with Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and senior officials of state and central security forces on Wednesday, official sources here told IANS.

“He will also be part of the first batch of devotees to visit the Holy Amarnath Shrine on July 2,” a senior state government official said.

Delhi High Court on Monday asked Lt Governor-appointee Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief M K Meena to act in accordance with the law, while refusing to issue directions to restrain him from entering office as sought by the Delhi government.

Justice V P Vaish also declined Delhi government’s pleas to stop Meena from removing the FIR book from ACB headquarter, recording new FIRs and seeking immediate removal of paramilitary personnel posted there.

Over 1.5 lakh students taking coaching classes at various centres in the city, known for its numerous engineering and medical entrance exam coaching institutes, are served non-nutritious food cooked in unhygienic conditions in the canteens.

CM Mufti reviews arrangements for Amarnath Yatra

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on Monday reviewed the arrangements made for the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in state’s Baltal area.

Mufti was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and Subrata Saha, GOC, 15 Corps.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure a safe and secure yatra for the pilgrims.

This year’s Amarnath Yatra will commence from July 2 and end on August 29.

3,500 stranded pilgrims rescued

Aleast 3,500 pilgrims stranded at Gobind Dham in Uttarakhand have been safely evacuated and brought back either at Gobind Ghat or Joshi Math in a joint operation District Administration of Math, ITBP and state team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

A S Miglani, head of the special team deputed by the Punjab government for the evacuation of pilgrims from Gobind Ghat and Gobind Dham enroute Sri Hemkunt Sahib, said that all the pilgrims struck up at Gobind Dham have been rescued and moved safely to Gobind Ghat and Joshi Math.

Japan hosts World’s first robot wedding

The first ever robot wedding has taken place in Japan in a glittering ceremony, complete with a wedding cake, a band and even a ‘kiss’ shared by the couple.

About 100 people gathered in Tokyo on June 27 to witness the two robots tie the knot.

The groom was Frois, a robotic creation from company Maywa Denki, and the bride was humanoid Yukirin, an android made in the likeness of a Japanese pop idol Yuki Kashiwagi, and developed by Takayuki Todo.

Frois, a boxy red and silver robot, wore a bow tie while the bride donned a traditional white wedding gown.

Former minister of state for coal Dasari Narayan Rao on Tuesday alleged that all the decisions related to coal blocks were taken by the then-prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh who was in-charge of the Coal Ministry.

Abu Salem, in a two-page reply to the court yesterday, accepted the proposal. He said that appreciated the woman’s strength and her bold stand.

Apologising for the situation he had unintentionally put the woman in, Salem said he would like to marry her “so that the woman can freely move around and be able to meet and answer all the relatives’ friends and well-wishers with her head up in the society.”
