SpaceX mission ends in explosion en route to International Space Station

NASA’s SpaceX mission came to an end after its rocket exploded on its way to International Space Station.

An unmanned Dragon spacecraft, which was carrying supplies and station docking adaptor and the Falcon 9 rocket propelling it were destroyed in the explosion, causing NASA and the International Space station a “big loss” on Sunday.

A video posted to Instagram showed the explosion, and as per the reports pieces of the spacecraft and rocket could be seen falling into the Atlantic Ocean.

‘Brothers’ trailer crosses six million views

The trailer of upcoming film Brothers, starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra, has crossed six million views on YouTube.

Directed by Agneepath helmer Karan Malhotra, the movie is a remake of the 2011 Hollywood film Warrior, which starred Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the action-drama, took to Twitter along with the starcast to thank fans.

“Thank you for the continuous love!,” he wrote.

France attack suspect admits to decapitating boss

The Islamist extremist who carried out an attack on a U.S. gas plant in France has reportedly admitted to killing his manager beforehand, a source said.

Yassin Salhi, who has been linked to a militant in Syria, told detectives that he had killed Herve Cornara in a parking area before arriving at the factory Saint Quentin-Fallavier, 30 kilometres south of Lyon, reported ABC News.

One of Salhi’s work colleagues said that he had argued with Conara days earlier after he dropped a pallet of fragile equipment.

Greece shuts banks amidst fears of possible exit from eurozone

Greece has reportedly shut its banks for six business days, starting Monday, with strict limits on ATM withdrawals, amidst a rising concern over the country’s economic future.

The country’s stock exchange has also been shut as part of the stringent measures announced on Sunday as a possible Greek exit from the eurozone loomed large, reported The Washington Post.

The move indicated that the country’s five-year long battle to stay in the eurozone could come to an end swiftly, even as leaders elsewhere called for a way to avoid that.

S Korea cautiously reports no new MERS cases or deaths

South Korea reported no new cases of MERS or deaths from the virus for the first time in nine days today, but officials warned there was no indication yet that the outbreak had been brought under control.

The number of those infected with Middle East Respiratory Syndrome remained unchanged for two days in a row at 182, the health ministry said.

The death toll also remained unchanged from 32 yesterday. It is the first time that the country has reported no additional infections as well as no new deaths since June 20.

Israel navy seizes ship seeking to break Gaza blockade: army

Israeli naval forces boarded and took over an activist vessel seeking to break the Gaza blockade, and were escorting it to an Israeli port early today, the military said, saying that the navy did not use force.

“In accordance with international law, the Israeli Navy advised the vessel several times to change course,” it said in a statement. “Following their refusal the Navy visited and searched the vessel in international waters in order to prevent their intended breach of the maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip.”

The order on framing of charges in the IPL-6 spot fixing case in which suspended cricketers Ajit Chandila, S Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and others, including underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his aide Chhota Shakeel are accused, was today deferred for July 25 by a Delhi court.

Vyapam scam deaths: MP Home Minister dismisses call for CBI enquiry

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur on Monday dismissed calls for a CBI enquiry into the deaths of those involved in the Vyapam scam.

“One who has come will eventually go. The prisoners die daily because of illness. There is no need for a CBI enquiry,” Gaur said.

As per reports, 42 people, including the accused and the witnesses in this case, have died.

Shahrukh Khan’s real life fans may be left disappointed, as Bollywood helmer Karan Johar recently tweeted the news of king khan’s upcoming film ‘FAN’ being postponed.

Kuwait Shia mosque bombing kills two Indians

At least two Indians were among the 27 people killed in the bombing at a Shia mosque in Kuwait City, the Indian embassy said.

Rizwan Hussain, 31, of Sultanpur and Ibne Abbas, 25, of Ambedkar Nagar were both from Uttar Pradesh, an embassy statement said.

A suicide bomber hit the mosque on Friday during noon prayers, killing 26 devotees and injuring 227 in an attack claimed by the Islamic State. The attacker also died.

The embassy has advised the Indian community in Kuwait to take precautions for its safety and security in the wake of the blast.

Longer the secondary schooling significantly lowers the risk of HIV infection, especially for girls, claims a new study.

Harvard researchers conducted a research in Botswana, and found that for each additional year of secondary school, students lowered their risk of HIV infection by 8 percentage points about a decade later, from 25 percent to about 17 percent infected.

It could be a very cost-effective way to halt the spread of the virus.

The gunman, who killed 38 people at a beach resort near the Tunisian city of Sousse, received help from others in carrying out the attack, officials said.

Tunisian Interior Ministry spokesman Mohamed Ali Aroui said authorities were “sure” that Seifeddine Rezgui had accomplices who provided him the Kalashnikov rifle, BBC reported on Monday.

Security officials said Rezgui, who posed as a swimmer, was carrying a rifle under a parasol and started shooting on the beach before entering the Hotel Imperial Marhaba.

The protein called FoxF2 is found in the brain’s smallest blood vessels called capillaries and are essential for the development of the blood-brain barrier.

In a study done on mice, the team found how the blood-brain barrier develops and what makes the capillaries in the brain different from small blood vessels in other organs.
