Crispy Spinach

Ingredients

300 gm shredded spinach

15 gm chopped onion

5 gm crushed garlic

3 gm fresh chopped chilly

Oil to fry

Salt to taste

Method

Fry the spinach and put it on a oil absorbent paper.

Heat the wok, throw in the garlic and add onion, chilly and spinach along with seasoning.

Toss all the vegetables together in the wok for 30 seconds which will impart a smoky flavor and blend the ingredients together.

Serve hot on the plate.

Drones will soon perform a special task in Lucknow apart from functioning as eyes in the sky with the Lucknow Police planning to use them for dispersing mobs.

These little unmanned mini-choppers are already in use in various sensitive parts of Uttar Pradesh for taking aerial snaps, but for the first time the hi-tech gadget will be used to control unruly crowds.

“We have purchased five drone cameras with capacity of lifting two kg weight. They can be used to shower pepper powder on an unruly mob in case of any trouble,” Senior Superintendent of Police Yashasvi Yadav told PTI today.

Raymond inks pact to acquire subsidiary of Gokaldas Exports

Apparel major Raymond has said it has inked a pact to acquire Robot Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gokaldas Exports, for an undisclosed amount.

Silver Spark Apparel, a unit of Raymond, has entered into a share purchase agreement with Gokaldas Exports, Robot Systems and Gautam Chakravarti for acquisition of the entire shareholding in Robot Systems, Raymond said in a filing to the BSE.

The said transaction will be subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the agreement entered into by the parties, it added.

Govt teacher goes missing with daughter

Dara Sandhyarani (34), who is a government teacher, has been missing since March 29 along with her two-year old daughter Shanvi.

For the past couple of months she has been staying at home following differences with her husband and was undergoing psychiatric treatment in Hanamkonda. A complaint in connection with the missing of the woman and the child was lodged with Dharmasagar police.

Prior to disappearing from her house at Dharmasagar she told her parents that she wanted to go to Vijayawada to visit a religious shrine at Gunadala.

Ford India sales up 33.62% in March at 15,775 units

Automaker Ford India on Wednesdayreported 33.62 percent increase in total sales at 15,775 units in March.

It had sold 11,805 units in March 2014.

Ford India’s domestic sales were at 5,253 units last month, down 17.35 percent from 6,356 units a year ago, the company said in a statement.

It said exports during the month stood at 10,522 units as compared to 5,449 units in March 2014, up 93 percent.

Obama and Castro to ‘interact’ at Americas summit: US official

US President Barack Obama and Cuban counterpart Raul Castro will have an “interaction” when they attend next week’s Summit of the Americas in Panama, a US official has said.

It will be the first between the two leaders since the historic rapprochement between Havana and Washington.

“Clearly President Obama knew when he made the decision to go to the summit, and he knew that Cuba had been invited to the summit… That there would be an interaction,” US State Department official Roberta Jacobson said at the Brookings Institution yesterday.

Forex kitty continues to rise, scales new high at $341.4 billion

The foreign exchange reserves continued their upward momentum and scaled a new life time high at USD 341.378 billion, rising by USD 1.386 billion for the week ended March 27, the Reserve Bank data showed Friday.

The continuing rally is being aided by increase in foreign currency assets, the apex bank said.

In the previous reporting week, the forex reserves had increased by USD 4.261 billion to USD 339.99 billion.

(Siasat News): A man, who was very upset over his domestic disputes and unsound financial conditions, ended his life. This incident occurred in Hayathnagar Police limits where the deceased Gurva Reddy, 30, hanged himself to death who was a private employee and hailed from Guntur.

It is said that he was facing financial crisis and the domestic disputes had added fuel to the fire. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Musharraf challenges non-bailable arrest warrant

Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf has challenged a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him for the alleged murder of a former Lal Masjid cleric, media reported on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Islamabad additional district and sessions court judge Wajid Ali issued the warrant against Musharraf following his repeated absence from the trial for the murder of Lal Masjid’s former cleric Abdul Rasheed Ghazi, Dawn online reported.

In 2013, police registered a case against Musharraf for the alleged murder of Ghazi and his wife during the Lal Masjid military operation.

“I can never forget the scenes that I witnessed there. The way bombs were exploding and bullets were flying around, I had seen such scenes only in movies,” said S. Zahirul who had gone to Aden two months back to work in the jewellery sector.

US lawmakers praise role of Indian-American physicians

The Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) welcomed the passage by the US House of a bill that would reformulate how physicians are reimbursed for Medicare, a government health insurance for seniors over 65.

If approved by the Senate, the legislation would repeal the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula currently in use. The SGR formula places a cap on spending for physicians services.

College Professor arrested for sexual harassment

A 27-year-old Assistant Professor of a private engineering college has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 17-year-old girl of the same college, police said today.

The professor asked the girl to come to his house to clear her doubts in a subject and when she reached there yesterday, he allegedly sexually harassed her, police said here.

He was arrested under various sections of IPC.

The Assistant Professor was produced before a special court and was remanded to 15 days custody in Salem central prison, police said.

Railways gives free tickets to Yemen evacuees for travel home

With various departments doing their bit for those evacuated from strife-torn Yemen, the Railways played its own role by providing free tickets to 75 of them for travel from Mumbai, where they landed, to their destinations across the country.

The 75 evacuees were received by railway officials at the Mumbai International Airport in the wee hours of Thursday and taken by bus to the Lokmanya Tilak and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus stations, a Railway Ministry official said.

US State Department has dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plea to include clear recognition of his nation’s “right to exist” in the Iran nuclear agreement, saying that the negotiations are “only about the nuclear issue”.

According to Fox News, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said that the Iran nuclear agreement is only about the nuclear issue, indicating that the Obama administration is not looking to protect Israel’s security into a final agreement.

She said that it was an agreement that does not deal with any other issues and that it should not either.
