Kim Jong-un orders army to prepare for war with US to ‘tear to pieces stars and stripes’

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in a reference to wage a war against the United States , has told the country’s army to train so they can “tear to pieces the stars and stripes”.

According to the Daily Express, Kim made the chilling threat after the US and South Korea staged a joint navel drill involving nearly a dozen warships.

He called for a political as well as ideological war and ordered his forces to get ready for it.

The US and South Korean drills were a prelude to an eight-week exercise called Foal Eagle which will involve air, ground and navy field training. (ANI)

According to the Mirror, two young elephants were shot and feasted on by the President’s 20,000 guests while the country’s poor struggle to scrape a living.

A farmer had donated the elephants to Mugabe along with a lion and a crocodile to be stuffed.

452 passports of Hajj aspirants issued from Regional Passport Office

“We found that intermittent fasting caused a slight increase in SIRT3, a well-known gene that promotes longevity and is involved in protective cell responses,” said Michael Guo, a student at Harvard Medical School.

The SIRT3 gene encodes a protein also called SIRT3 that belongs to a class of proteins known as sirtuins.

Sirtuins, if increased in mice, can extend their lifespans.

Minor girl raped by youth at a marriage function in UP

A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually molested by a youth in Sahdullahnagar area here, police said today.

The incident happened yesterday when the accused, identified as Kapil Dev, lured and convinced the minor to accompany him to a secluded place, Superintendent of Police Lalsahab Yadav said.

The victim had come to attend a marriage function late last night, he said.

Agra has 100 suspected swine flu cases

Budget is against poor, favours corporates: Chidambaram

Former finance minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram on Saturday slammed the Union budget saying it was against the poor, had “cruel cuts” in allocations for weaker sections and favoured corporates.

Chidambaram told reporters here that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government had left the economy on way to recovery but Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had not acknowledged this in his budget speech.

“Unfortunately, the government refused to acknowledge the fact,” Chidambaram said.
