Singer Fergie has revealed she ran out of money and was forced moved back with her mother before she rose to fame with her group The Black Eyes Peas’ first single ‘Where Is The Love’ in 2003.

The pop star, 39, who has 17-month-old son Axl with husband Josh Duhamel, said her mother, Theresa Ferguson, was an angel for her in her bad times, reported People magazine.

“I remember when I ran out of money in the early 2000s – I moved back to my mom’s, and she was my angel for a period of time” she said.

Officials of the State Disaster Management Authority, who collected samples from a plot in Karimalloor village in Ernakulam district where the object was believed to have fallen, said preliminary assessment pointed to the possibility of it being a meteor.

India to join top global league with proposed black money law

India will join the league of countries like Singapore, UK and the US with its proposed law to check black money, under which those hiding income and evading tax in relation to foreign assets can be slapped with a prison term of up to ten years.

In fact, the proposed imprisonment penalty, as also the monetary penalty, here could be higher than many other countries in most of the cases.

The new law would also provide for a penalty for such concealment of income and assets at the rate of 300 per cent of tax, while offenders will not be permitted to approach the Settlement Commission.

AI pilots union oppose hiring of commanders on contract

Air India pilots’ today opposed the hiring of commanders on contractual basis from open market for the national carrier’s Airbus A320 fleet when a good number of regular co-pilots were awaiting to go up the ladder.

The union of Air India pilots, Indian Commercial Pilot’s Association (ICPA) also termed the move as “dent on their morale” and demanded immediate withdrawal of the advertisement failing which, it said, could trigger industrial action.

The ICPA, in a letter to airline Chairman and Managing Director Rohit Nanadan, has urged for a uniform carrier progression for the pilots.
