CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao has decided to shift the old TB Hospital located at Erragadda to Vikharabad. All the arrangements have been made for its shifting. Sources close to CM indicated that CM has signed the file and GO is likely to be issued in a day or two. It may be noted that CM had indicated his intention to shift old mental hospital also to Vikharabad. CM is likely to issue instructions to the officials for shifting both these hospitals to Vikharabad.

NATO’s chief has dismissed as “nonsense” a claim by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin that the Ukrainian army operates as a “foreign legion” for the alliance.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also called on Russia to stop providing military support to pro-Russian rebels, BBC reported.
Putin said Ukraine’s military was operating against Ukrainian national interests by seeking to contain Russia.
Violence in eastern Ukraine is at its worst level for months, with a series of deadly attacks over the past week.
The FBI has charged three men it says were spying for Russia and trying to recruit sources in New York City.
US prosecutors said Evgeny Buryakov, 39, was part of an alleged spy ring that included two others in the US on official business, BBC reported.
The other two named defendants, Igor Sporyshev and Victor Podobnyy, no longer reside in the US.
Buryakov, who held a position in banking, is scheduled to appear in court later Monday.

US President Barack Obama would meet his fellow Noble laureate Kailash Satyarthi here tomorrow.

Kurdish forces have driven Islamic State (IS) militants from Kobane, officials say, ending a four-month battle for the northern Syrian town.
Fighters from the Popular Protection Units (YPG) were said to have entered outlying areas in the east of the town after the jihadis retreated, BBC reported.
The US said anti-IS forces were in control of 90% of the town.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Monday condoled the death of legendary cartoonist RK Laxman, saying “his loss will be mourned by the whole nation”.
“Through his (Laxman`s) cartoon, he held up a mirror to society – making us laugh at ourselves, while putting the concern of the common man at the forefront,” Gandhi said.
He described Laxman as an “incisive” observer and commentator of post-independence India.
“Deeply saddened at the passing away of the legend R.K. Laxman… My heartfelt condolences to his family,” Gandhi said.
Pakistan’s army chief General Raheel Sharif presented evidence about alleged Indian involvement in terrorism in the country using Afghan soil to American officials during his US visit last year, a parliamentary committee was informed on Monday.
Gen Sharif paid an extended visit of more than two weeks to the US and met several civilian and defence officials.
The Senate Defence Committee was briefed by defence secretary Lt Gen Alam Khattak in Islamabad that Gen Sharif presented vital evidence of “Indian involvement in subversive activities in Pakistan using the soil of Afghanistan”.
Pentagon chief Chuck Hagel said it is “going to be very difficult” to close the controversial US prison at Guantanamo Bay by the end of President Barack Obama’s term in two years.
In an interview with National Public Radio that aired today, Hagel also acknowledged that he had taken a cautious
approach to approving the transfer of some detainees out of the prison, which had reportedly irritated some officials in the White House.
Four persons, including one woman, were killed after they were hit by trains at different places in the city. Of them, three accidents occurred in the limits of Nampally Railway Police on Monday morning.
The Sanathnagar police on Monday retrieved the body of a 25-year-old man from Sunnam Cheruvu.
The deceased was later identified as S Kashappa, a labourer and resident of Sanathnagar. Preliminary enquiries by the police revealed that Kashappa was missing from his home since Sunday evening and is suspected to have fallen into the lake accidentally. The body was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. (INN)

A 45-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a BMW car opposite Moulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Gachibowli police limits on Monday morning. The deceased, P Raghuvulu, a gardener in MANUU, met with the accident while trying to cross the road. He was a resident of Telecom Colony Huts.
A 45-year-old man died of injuries which he sustained when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another bike in Pet Basheerabad police limits.
The victim, K Appa Rao of Medchal, met with the accident near Pet Basheerabad crossroads on January 7 . He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Sunday night. (INN)
Former minister Danam Nagender has claimed that GHMC Special Officer Somesh Kumar was responsible for the dismissal of Dr T Rajaiah from the cabinet of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Extradited Babbar Khalsa militant Jagtar Singh Tara, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the then Chief Minister Beant Singh’s assassination case, was today remanded to judicial custody till February 9 in an attempt to murder case registered against him in 1991.
Duty Magistrate Anup Singh sent the militant to judicial custody till February 9.
Meanwhile, he was handed over to Bhogpur police on an arrest warrant for questioning in another case registered against him in Jalandhar.
US President Barack Obama today announced investments and loans worth USD 4 billion by American agencies as part of measures to bolster trade with India.
“Over the next two years our Export-Import Bank will commit up to USD 1 billion in financing made in America
exports to India… And our US Trade and Development Agency will aim to leverage nearly USD 2 billion investments in renewable energy in India,” he said at the India-US Business Summit here this evening.

Congress today accused BJP of doing a “U Turn” and “double-speak” over the Indo-US civil nuclear agreement questioning why it had opposed the measure when UPA government was pushing for the deal.
