Boyband Imagine Dragons have released a brand new song.

The band have recorded new cut ‘Shots’ for their forthcoming second studio album Smoke + Mirrors, which will be released on February 16, reported Ace Showbiz.

The track has been made available to stream on Spotify in some territories, and follows official lead single ‘I Bet My Life’ and fellow promotional release ‘Gold’.

Smoke + Mirrors serves as the follow-up to the band’s 2012 debut release Night Visions.

It will hold 13 tracks in total and be supported by a headline world tour later this year.

Singer-actress Selena Gomez was spotted going on a bowling date with her rumoured boyfriend Zedd.

The 22-year-old ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’ took to Instagram to post a video of her and Zedd showing off their bowling skills, reported Ace Showbiz.

The video began with Selena and Zedd each bringing a bowling ball. As they launched their balls down the lanes at the same time, the video went into a slow motion.

Actor Emile Hirsch is being investigated following an alleged assault on a female film executive at the Sundance Film Festival.

Police were called to Tao nightclub in Park City, Utah on Sunday (January 25) when the complaint was raised, reported Deadline.

“Currently this is an active case that we’re still investigating,” Captain Phil Kirk of the Park City Police Department said in a statement.

“We’ll be submitting the case to the Summit County Attorney’s Office for screening as soon as we complete the investigation.”

Nick Jonas joins ‘Scream Queens’ cast

Singer-actor Nick Jonas is the latest addition to the cast of Ryan Murphy’s ‘Scream Queens’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jonas, 22, will have a recurring role on the Fox comedy-horror anthology series but the exact details of his character are being kept under wraps.

The 15-part series will follow a college campus as it is it by a string of murders, and will air later this year.

Former US general calls for targeting terrorist havens in Pak

Israeli air force strikes Syrian army targets

The Israeli Air Force struck the Syrian army’s artillery posts late Tuesday in response to an earlier rocket attack from the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, the military said Wednesday.

“The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) holds the Syrian government accountable for all attacks emanating from its land, and will operate by any means necessary to defend Israeli civilians,” Xinhua reported citing the IDF statement.

“Such blatant breaches of Israeli sovereignty will not be tolerated,” said the statement.

Girls outperform boys in educational achievement globally

A new study has indicated that girls outperform boys in educational achievement in 70 percent of the countries they studied regardless of the level of gender, political, economic or social equality.

The study conducted at University of Missouri showed that boys fall behind girls in overall achievement across reading, mathematics, and science in 70 percent of the countries studied. Boys outperform girls in only three countries or regions: Colombia, Costa Rica and the Indian state, Himachal Pradesh. Boys and girls had similar educational achievements in the United States and United Kingdom.

Tamil Daily threatened of ‘Charlie Hebdo style’ attack

A Tamil newspaper has received a letter threatening an attack similar to the one on the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, police said.

“We have received the letter from the newspaper and a probe is on,” a senior police official said.

The letter, typed in English, says “Yesterday-Paris Charlie Hebdo, Tomorrow — Dinamalar.” The words appear against the background of India’s map.

The letter was sent through post by unidentified elements claiming to belong to an outfit called “The Base Moment,” and said to be based at “3/10, Ukkadam, Kovai, Tamil Nadu, India.”
