The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has released a video online, two weeks after the Peshawar school massacre, wherein the purported child of a Taliban leader is justifying the terrorist group’s violence saying that Pakistan has an “apostate army”.

According to ABC News, the child said in the video that the Taliban’s battle is against the “Pakistani government and its apostate army “.

Tech giant Microsoft’s search engine Bing.com and other sites, including live.com, suffered a brief disconnection of about 20 minutes on Friday, as per reports revealed on Twitter and other website-monitoring services.

While Bing.com and others have since returned from the outage, Yahoo’s search service, which is powered by Bing, at search.yahoo.com is reportedly down, as well. No explanation has been provided for the outages yet.

‘Hillbillies’ star Donna Douglas passes away at 81

Donna Douglas, who is famous for her role in ‘ The Beverly Hillbillies,’ has died at the age of 81.

The actress’ niece Charlene Smith said that Douglas battled p ancreatic cancer , CBS News reported.

Douglas was probably best known as Elly May Clampett on the show, which ran from 1962-1971 on CBS, where she portrayed that character in all 274 episodes of the show and brought back the role in a 1981 TV movie reboot of the series.

Security tightened in Gujarat following Coast Guard interception

The security has been beefed up in Gujarat after the Indian Coast Guard intercepted an explosive laden Pakistani fishing boat in the Arabian Sea off the Porbandar coast.

Following the incident, the state authorities have sounded a high alert in the state. Indian Coast Guard and Border Security Force (BSF) along with the Gujarat Police are maintaining high vigil after the incident.

As per reports, Gujarat Police is already on alert in view of events like ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Divas’ and ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit’ that are scheduled to be held in coming week.

India rejects Aziz’s allegations to EAM over cross-border firing as baseless

AirAsia flight QZ8501: 30 bodies found, some still strapped to seats

Rescue teams have recovered 30 bodies so far in the search for AirAsia flight 8501 crash victims wherein some bodies were still strapped to their seats.

After a week of search operations, rescue teams found a total of 30 bodies. Most of them were rescued by a U.S. Navy ship, reported News24.

The Airbus A320 disappeared while traveling from Indonesia to Singapore with 162 people on board.

As the search operations continue, special equipment has also arrived to aid the search for the plane and its black box flight recorders.

Elvis Presley’s two private jets up for auction

Elvis Presley’s two private jets, the Lisa Marie and Hound Dog II up are up for auction.

The King of Rock and Roll bought the Convair 880 jet in 1975, two years before his death, and spent about 300,000 dollars, refitting it and renaming the Lisa Marie, the BBC reported.

The Hound Dog II, a Lockheed JetStar, was bought in 1975 as a stopgap while the Lisa Marie was being prepared and arrived at Graceland in 1984.

The Lisa Marie has been on display at Graceland for fans to tour.

Two Pak Rangers killed in BSF’s retaliation to ceasefire violation

Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing on several BSF posts along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba and Kathua districts.

The ceasefire violation drew a strong retaliation from India. As per the BSF sources, two Pakistani Rangers were killed in exchange of fire on Friday night.

Five Pakistani Rangers have been killed since Thursday in exchange of fire along the border.

Friday night’s ceasefire violation was the fourth by the Pakistani Rangers in as many days and the eighth in the last nine days.
