Four children and a woman were among the eight people killed Tuesday when Syrian government aircraft dropped bombs on the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, or SOHR, said.

Government helicopters dropped barrel bombs on a district located between the neighbourhoods of al-Khadr and Sakhur in eastern Aleppo, the London-based NGO said.

At least 17 rebel fighters were killed Monday in attacks on their barracks in the town of Kafr Zita, a northern suburb in Hama province, the human rights group said.

A patient in Texas has tested positive for Ebola, becoming the first person diagnosed in the US with the deadly virus, US health authorities said Tuesday.

Tom Frieden, director of the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), told a press conference that the patient is an adult who flew from Liberia to Texas to visit family earlier this month, Xinhua reported.

The patient had no symptoms when leaving West Africa but began to develop symptoms about four days after arriving in the US Sep 20, Frieden said.

Parents should spend some time with their children to teach them Urdu since it is their Mother tongue and most of Islamic literature is in Urdu. Whatever be the medium of instruction of the child, he should be taught Urdu. Even if they do not understand the meaning of the news in the newspapers, they should at least guess its sense by reading the heading of the news. If your child learns Urdu, you will feel proud of him/her.

The then DCP of South Zone Mr. S. Umapati had registered a case against them after the ban was imposed on SIMI on 28th September 2001. Chaderghat police had registered a case and Mr. Yasir was imprisoned for a long time at Indore (M.P.).

Congress leader Rajiv Shukla welcomed the renewal of the defence agreement between India and the U.S. for a further ten-year period, calling it a good development.

“The ten-year cooperation agreement between the US and India in the defence sector is a good development. Indo-US cooperation in defence has been going on from the time Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister. We are all for a close relationship between the U.S. and India,” Shukla told ANI here.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States President Barack Obama , in their bilateral talks held on Tuesday at the White House, stated that India and the U.S. will start a dialogue on security and sustainability of outer space.

In a joint statement released by both nations, Prime Minister Modi and President Obama stated that India and the U.S. intend start a new dialogue on maintaining long-term security and sustainability of the outer space environment, including space situational awareness and collision avoidance in outer space.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama Tuesday discussed the issue of terrorism, including in West Asia, and agreed to cooperate in counter-terrorism measures and in intelligence sharing.

Modi, addressing a joint press conference with Obama after their summit-level talks here, said that they had also discussed climate change and agreed to cooperate in that field and on Afghanistan and the Ebola virus disease crisis.

He said they discussed terrorism in detail and agreed to intensify their cooperation in counter-terror cooperations and intelligence sharing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday that US defence firms are welcome to participate in India and that both India and US have agreed to deepen their security and defence cooperation.

Addressing a joint press conference with US President Barack Obama, he said that both sides discussed security and defence issues during their summit-level talks and agreed to deepen ties in this field.

“US defence companies are welcome to participate in India,” Modi said.

Saying there is “new confidence, new excitement” in the India-US relationship, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday assured the US of India’s commitment to take their stalled landmark civil nuclear deal forward as both sides agreed to work together to disrupt financial and tactical support for terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Modi, after holding over two-hour-long summit talks with President Barack Obama, invited US defence companies to invest in India.
