Age gap isn’t a problem, says Ian Rush’s 30-yr-old girlfriend

Liverpool FC star Ian Rush’s girlfriend, Carol Anthony , has revealed that the 22 year age gap between them isn’t a problem.

The 30-year-old Irish model said that she had followed his soccer career as a kid and he has always been a Liverpool fan, the Mirror reported.

She said that she doesn’t see an age gap, though she did once or twice when they first got together but doesn’t any more and is trying to stop her ageing process but she thinks Rush looks better than ever.

Athena ‘tennis girl’ dress fetches 15K pounds

The 1970s iconic Athena ‘ tennis girl’ dress has fetched 15,500 pounds at auction.

The unique handmade dress with lace trim was made famous in a photograph taken by the late Martin Elliott featuring his then-girlfriend Fiona Butler , the Daily Express reported.

Fieldings Auctioneers, which offered the dress as a part of a lot which included the tennis racquet confirmed the dress had smashed its 2,000 pounds estimate.

US digital agencies snoop on ordinary internet users more than targeted ones

A four-month long investigation by The Washington Post has revealed that ordinary American and non-American internet users outnumber legally targeted foreigners in the communications intercepted by the National Security Agency ( NSA) from U.S. digital networks.

According to The Washington Post, nine out of 10 account holders in intercepted conversations were not the intended surveillance targets for the digital networks but were caught in a net that the agency had cast for somebody else. The details of the interceptions were provided to The Washington post by Edward Snowden.

200 Indian nationals to be flown to Delhi in next 48 hours: MEA

Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on Sunday said that two special flights will be flying to New Delhi from Najaf and Basra in Iraq, with over 200 Indian nationals in next 36-48 hours.

“Two other special flights will be flying to New Delhi from Najaf and Basra in next 36-48 hours with over 200 Indian nationals. Over 486 telephone calls were received by our control rooms by the people who want to return and we are responding to each one of them,” he added.

Taking a cue from Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, oral health experts here urged Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to levy high taxes on tobacco products to curb the youth from getting addicted to smoking or chewing tobacco.

“Increasing the price of tobacco products through higher taxes is the most effective way to make addicts quit smoking or chewing tobacco,” Indian Dental Association (Karnataka branch) president M.L.V. Prabhuji said in a statement here Sunday.

Australia tops global list of recreational drug users

Australia has the highest proportion of recreational drug users in the world, according to the UN’s 2014 World Drug Report, media reports said Monday.

The UN report confirmed Australia as leading the world in the use of party drug ecstasy, third in methamphetamines and fourth in cocaine, Xinhua reported citing a Daily Telegraph report.

With codeine and morphine use, Australia ranks second only to the US with 3.1-3.6 percent of people aged between 15 and 65 considered regular users, mostly women.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has sought a slew measures, including a second terminus, from Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda to upgrade train services in his Lucknow parliamentary constituency.

In a letter, Mr Singh requested that to decongest Charbagh railway station, Gomti Nagar railway station should be upgraded as second railway terminus.
