INSAAF to organize State level conference on 31st August

According to Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, All India President of INSAAF Organization and former CPI MP of Rajya Sabha membership campaign will be launched very soon. Primary units will be constituted in the month of August. Regional committees would be formed from 11th to 18th August. A State level conference will be organized on 31st August in which the functioning of TDP and TRS Govt. would be reviewed. Anti-people decisions would be condemned and resolutions would be passed. A charter of public demands would be finalized for democratic struggle.

Israeli air strikes kill three Palestinians in Gaza

Fresh Israeli air strikes on northern Gaza Strip area of Jabalia killed three Palestinians and wounded five early Saturday, medics and witnesses said.

An Israeli war jet fired a missile at a group of Palestinians sitting near a mosque in Jabalia area in northern Gaza Strip, killing three and wounding five others, two of them critically, Xinhua reported.

Overnight, two more Palestinians were killed in another air strike on the central Gaza Strip town of Deir el-Ballah. Witnesses said the two were members in Hamas movement.

Medical Insurance for Journalists soon – Dy.CM

Dr. T. Rajaiah, Dy.CM and in-charge of Health Department assured that very soon medical insurance scheme will be implemented for Journalists. He gave this assurance to a delegation consisting of the leaders of Telangana Union of Journalists and Indian Journalists Union. It may be noted that medical insurance scheme is being implemented for Govt. employees for the past 10 years. The delegation demanded that the same facility should be extended to working journalists. The previous Govt. had promised to implement it but due to the implementation of election code of conduct, it was delayed.

Mr. Nayeemullah Shareef, President of Muslim Educational Development Forum told that there are still a few seats left vacant in Urdu Residential Schools and Junior Colleges in Mahboob Nagar, Nalgonda, Medak, Nizamabad, Warangal and Hyderabad. Subramanian Swamy calls Sonia Gandhi ‘fifth class pass’

Congress workers protest against Budget 2014-15

Congress workers staged a protest against Budget 2014-15 here on Friday. The protest was led by Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely. Delhi is now world”s second most populous city

The 2014 revision of the World Urbanisation Prospects has declared Indian capital Delhi as the world”s second most populous city in 2014 after Tokyo. Delhi”s population is currently pegged at 25 million, according to the U.N. report. The report further states that India is projected to add the highest number of people to its urban population by 2050, ahead of China. The Indian capital is expected to retain the spot of the world”s second most populous city through at least 2030, when its population is expected to rise swiftly to 36 million.

JKLF activists hold Anti-Israel protest in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) activists today held a protest march against Israeli action on people of Gaza in which scores of persons, including women and children, have been killed. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday said that he was extremely glad to know that the nurses who recently returned from Iraq are getting employment offers and financial assistance. “We are all very much relived because of the safe return of nurses. We are happy that the nurses are receiving offers to work within Kerala and outside Kerala. Hyderabad municipal employees end their strike

The Bhagyanagar Municipal GHMC Employees Union today called off its strike over salary hike demand, following a meeting with Municipal Commissioner Somesh Kumar, civic officials said.

Hundreds of employees affiliated to the union had gone on strike from Wednesday midnight, refusing to ply the garbage transport trucks.

Hyderabad generates over 3,600 metric tonnes of garbage every day, and the quantity goes up during the festive season. The strike led to garbage piling up in several places.

Man arrested for raping minor daughter for a year

A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his minor daughter repeatedly over the last one year, police said today.

The arrest was made from Outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri area yesterday night, they said.

The victim is a student of Class 7 and her father was sexually assaulting her for over a year now.

Medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape. An NGO has been called in to counsel the girl, they said.

A case has been registered against the victim’s father at Sultanpuri police station.
