Hollywood comedian Tracy Morgan has been released from the physical rehabilitation centre he was recovering in and has thanked those who supported him during the trying times.

Tracy will continue his recovery efforts at home with an aggressive outpatient programme, reports tmz.com.

“He (Tracy) asked me to pass along his sincerest gratitude to everyone who has helped him get to this point,” said his representative.

Tracy checked into the centre last month after he sustained several broken bones, including his femur, on June 7 in a bus crash.

Former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson, who has filed for divorce from Rick Solomon, is reportedly trying to rekindle her romance with ex-boyfriend Chuck Zito.

Anderson, 47, and Zito, 61, were spotted heading out of the Rainbow Room Friday night and, shortly after, the duo was pictured face to face in Pam’s car, reports tmz.com.

They were clicked hugging and getting intimate with each other in the car.

Pamela and Zito briefly dated in 2007, a year when she hired the former boxer as her family bodyguard while seeking protection from her estranged husband Kid Rock.

LeBron James, four-time Most Valuable Player and two-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion, will sign a two-year contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, paving his way back to hometown Ohio.

Over a dozen people were injured following a clash between villagers and relatives of a jailed gangster here in Haryana.

Police have booked the gangster’s brother, mother and 45 others for the violence that happened late Saturday night.

Police Sunday claimed to have solved at least six cases of robbery in the capital following the arrest here of four alleged members of the infamous ‘Moradabadi gang’.

Rajesh, 38, Sanjay, 45, Mohan, 45, and Mohit, 25 – all residents of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh – were arrested Friday near Rohini Sector 26 in north Delhi where they had allegedly gathered to commit another robbery.

“Their arrest led us to solve at least six cases of robberies committed by them in different areas of Delhi,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav.

Four men were arrested here Sunday for gang-raping a 45-year-old widow, police said.

Krishan Kumar, Balwant Singh, Dharmender and Pawan Kumar were arrested for gang-raping a woman from a Gurgaon village. Another accused Ricky is yet to be arrested.

All the accused are aged between 30 and 35 years, and hail from Khod village near Pataudi in Haryana.

“Krishan Kumar called the woman Saturday for showing her a plot in Pataudi,” police official Ranbir Singh Yadav told IANS.

Nepal’s Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, who was recently diagnosed with lungs cancer, has been recovering quickly, his personal doctor said Sunday.

There has been immense improvement in his health following five rounds of radiotherapy in the period of last eight days, Xinhua reported.

“Recent x-ray inspection showed that the spot in his lungs has decreased by large,” Koirala’s personal physician Kabirnath Yogi told Xinhua over phone.

A self-confessed fan of Argentine greats Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi, Indian badminton ace Jwala Gutta is hopeful of the Latin American nation emerging winners in the soccer World Cup final early Monday.

“I am a fan of Maradona and Messi and watch their video clips at times. So I would wish to see Argentina become the champs,” Gutta said here, hours before the Argentina-Germany summit clash at Brazil’s Maracana stadium,” she said.

Admitting she doesn’t get to catch up on football much, Gutta hailed Messi for his agility and talent.

Four passengers were killed and 31 injured Sunday when a bus skidded off the road and rolled into a 30-foot deep pit in Himachal Pradesh, police said.

The Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus was on its way from Solan town to Shimla when it fell into the pit at Dhyarighat, near Kandaghat, on the National Highway No. 22.

Superintendent of Police Ramesh Chajta told IANS the accident happened when the driver was trying to overtake another vehicle.

Most of the injured were rushed to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.

Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the legendary punk rock group The Ramones, is dead. He was 62.

Tommy Ramone, who worked with the group in their first three albums, died Friday at his home in the Ridgewood area of Queens.

He had been in a hospice following bile duct cancer treatments, reports variety.com.

Tommy stopped drumming for the band in 1984 and he was replaced by Marky Ramone, but still worked with the Ramones throughout the years.

Tommy is credited for writing most of “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” and “Blitzkrieg Bop”.

Iraq’s new parliament ended its critical Sunday session without any progress in filling in the vacant speakership which is vital to end the political deadlock in the country.

“The session is adjourned till Tuesday at 11 a.m.,” Xinhua quoted Mahdi al-Hafidh, acting speaker, as telling the lawmakers.

Al-Hafidh said the disappointing delay was due to the failure among various political groups to agree with each other on the candidates of the nation’s three top posts — speaker, president and prime minister.

India were 230 for six in their second innings at lunch on the last day of the first cricket Test against England at the Trent Bridge here Sunday.

Stuart Binny was batting on 26 and Ravindra Jadeja at 18 at the break. India now have a lead of 191 runs.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said that the success the 2014 FIFA World Cup has shut up the critics who had expected chaos, demonstrations and violence during the tourney.

During a recent meeting with foreign media here at the Palácio da Alvorada, Dilma said no one can criticise the organisation of the World Cup, reports Efe.

“Brazil is a mature country, what happens on the field stays on the field. In Brazil we have a tradition, football and politics do not mix,” she said.

She had her share of drama and problems in the last season of reality show “Bigg Boss”, but looking back at her experience makes Pratyusha Banerjee realise that it wasn’t that bad. Given an opportunity, she wouldn’t mind revisiting the house for the new season.

“I don’t mind going back to the ‘Bigg Boss’ house now because now I realize that it was not that bad,” Pratyusha of “Balika Vadhu” fame TV series told IANS.

The bullet-riddled bodies of four people, who were abducted by suspected Bodo militants in Assam’s Baksa district, have been found, while the curfew imposed in some areas was extended, police said Sunday.

Cadres of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) faction opposed to peace talks with the government abducted the four people Friday night from the district, part of the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD).

Former Egyptian prime minister Hisham Qandil, who served under ousted President Mohammed Morsi, was today acquitted by a court here for failing to implement a court ruling to re-nationalise a company that was privatised in 1996.

A Cairo court has accepted the appeal presented by Qandil and overturned his one-year jail sentence.

The Tamil Nadu unit of Congress today said it was “regrettable” that a High Court Judge was denied entry into a club here for wearing dhoti, the state’s traditional attire.

“It is not important who went there wearing dhoti, but a rule barring the entry into a club (for a dhoti-clad person) in Tamil Nadu is unacceptable,” TNCC president B S Gnanadesikan said in a statement.

It was “regrettable” that the judge was denied entry into the club because he was wearing the traditional attire, he said.
