Girl succumbs to burn injuries

A 25 year old girl died of burn injuries which she suffered on April 27 at her residence in Ghansimiyaguda of Shamshabad.

According to Shamshabad police, the deceased A Anjamma (25) D/o Hanumaiah, a House Hold R/o Ghansimiya guda of Shamshabad while cooking on stove accidentally flames caught her on April 27. Immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment where she died on Friday early hours.

Shamshabad police registered a case and dead body shifted to OGH Mortuary for postmortem, after autopsy deceased body handed over to her relatives. (INN)

Mason dies after falling from height at Jubilee Hills

A-70-year-old Mason died of injuries which he suffered after falling from under construction building at Jubilee Hills police limits.

According to police, the deceased C Malakondaiah (70) a Mason R/o Madhapur deceased accidentally fallen from a fourth floor of under construction building while he doing a mason work at on May 1 afternoon hours and received multiple injuries, Immediately rushed to nearest private Hospital for treatment where doctors declared brought dead.

Financial problem drives Auto Driver to suicide

A 19 year old Auto Driver committed suicide by hanging at his residence on Thursday night hours in Jubilee Hills police limits.

According to police, deceased Mohammed Ghouse Pasha (19) an Auto Driver S/o Mohammed Ghulam R/o Rajiv Gandhi Nagar of Borabanda committed suicide by hanging at his residence.

The family members of the man told the police that he slipped into depression due to financial problems and might have ended his life over it.

BJP asks EC to withdraw order against Narendra Modi

Holding that Narendra Modi’s interaction with the media after casting his vote in Ahmedabad was “impromptu” and not pre-planned, BJP on Friday urged the Election Commission to withdraw its order against him and also issue clear guidelines with regard to such sound bytes and media interactions.

Didn’t seek damages from Vajpayee, Modi: Jethmalani to HC

Noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani, who has challenged his expulsion from BJP, on Friday told the Delhi High Court that he did not seek any damages from veteran leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee and BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi.

“My client does not want to press his case against Vajpayee and Modi and they do not need to file the written statements,” the counsel for Jethlamalani, 90, told Joint Registrar Anil Kumar Sisodia.

French minister vows to reduce unemployment to three mn

French Labor Minister Francois Rebsamen Friday vowed to reduce the number of unemployed people to below three million by improving the government actions.

“Today, there are more than 3.349 million people without work…what I want is that there are less than three million unemployed people,” Xinhua quoted the newly-appointed minister as saying.

“I Know we need sustainable growth but we can improve our devices,” Rebsamen said.

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Ingredients
•Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon
•Fresh red chilli,deseeded and slit 1
•melted dark chocolate,+ for lining ¼ cup
•Soya milk 4 cups
•Coffee powder 1/2 tablespoon
•vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon
•Salt 1/2 pinch
•Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 tablespoons
•Brandy 8 tbsps
Method
1. Heat soy milk and ¼ cup melted chocolate in a deep non-stick pan. Stir well.

2. Add coffee powder, cinnamon powder, vanilla extract and red chilli. Stir to mix.

3. Add salt and mix well. Cook for a minute and discard the chilli.

Withdraw FIR order against Modi, book Rahul: BJP

The BJP Friday requested the Election Commission to withdraw its FIR order against party leader Narendra Modi for violating the model code of conduct while demanding that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi be booked for a speech in Himachal Pradesh.

The Bharatiya Janata Party wrote to the poll panel after Gujarat Police registered a case against the state’s chief minister for violation of the poll code.

Vajpayee like Mahatma, Modi like Bose: RSS leader

RSS leader Indresh Kumar Friday compared BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to Subhas Chandra Bose and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Mahatma Gandhi.

He said Modi and Vajpayee were “just the same” and followed “secularism full of nationalism”.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Modi are just the same… one is like Mahatma and the other is like Subhas Chandra Bose,” Indresh Kumar said in an interview to a TV channel.

Would probe Abu Azmi’s statement: RR Patil

Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil on Friday said the state government would initiate probe into the controversial statement of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi in Lucknow yesterday.

“We will investigate the statement and if he is found guilty a case will be registered,” Patil told reporters here.

Azmi has stoked a controversy by saying at an election rally that the Muslims who did not vote for his party were not “true Muslims”, and their “DNA” should be tested.

Addressing a “Bharat Vijay” rally via 3D technology, the BJP strongman said that his party will not work for Hindus or Muslims, but for all the citizens of India. “We cannot divide the nation like this,” Modi asserted.

Kadapa to be recommended as capital city of Andhra: Jairam Ramesh

Union Minister Jairam Ramesh on Friday said a proposal recommending Kadapa as the capital city of the new state of Andhra Pradesh following the bifurcation would be submitted to the committee appointed in this regard.

Addressing party workers here this evening, Ramesh said, he would forward this proposal to the committee.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are like “mother and child” and should cooperate with each other for development, he said.

Hundreds missing after landslide in Afghanistan

A police chief says 250 people are missing after a landslide buried a village in northeastern Afghanistan.

Faziluddin Hayar, the police chief in Badakshan province, says hundreds of homes near a mountain in the Hobo Barik village were hit by the landslide at about 1 p.m. Friday.

Hayar says seven people have been rescued, and crews are searching for more survivors.

Brendon McCullum’s third fifty this season helped Chennai Super Kings score 148 for three against Kolkata Knight Riders after rain curtailed the Indian Premier League (IPL) match to 17-overs a side at the JSCA International Stadium Complex here Friday.

McCullum top-scored for the Super Kings with 56 off 40 balls and was well supported by Suresh Raina who chipped in with 31 off 25 balls.

The Congress Friday called Narendra Modi a “serial liar” following his reference to Ahmed Patel as a good friend in an interview to Doordarshan, with the Congress leader also emphatically denying “any closeness” to the Gujarat chief minister.

Patel, who is political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, said he would leave public life if it could be proved that he had visited Modi’s house or office.

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Modi, in an edited-out portion of his interview to state-run Doordarshan, had referred to Patel as a “good friend who’s stopped taking calls”.

Rag-tag coalition a “charter for chaos”: BJP

The BJP on Friday said the “rag-tag” coalition being talked about for bringing it to power after Lok Sabha poll is a “charter for chaos” and such ideas had “failed” many times in the past.

“There are many talks of a rag-tag coalition. That is a charter for chaos. There had been many such attempts earlier too and all have failed,” BJP leader Arun Jaitley said.

Taking a jibe at Congress, he said “when Congress talks of supporting the Third front, it is understood that it is accepting its defeat.”

Fresh violence kills 26 Muslims within 24 hours in Assam, Army called in

The alleged failure of migrant Muslims to vote for a tribal party candidate in Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency has claimed 26 lives in western Assam’s Baska and Kokrajhar districts since Thursday evening. The death toll is expected to go up with many reported missing.

Kokrajhar is the headquarters of the ethnically volatile areas under Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), which is ruled by the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), a constituent of the Congress-led government in Assam.

EC receives report on attack on Congress candidate

The Election Commission Friday received a preliminary report into the alleged attack on Samrat Tapadar, the Congress candidate for the Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal.

“It is reported the alleged incident took place despite security guards were provided to Tapadar,” said a media note issued by the Chief Electoral Officer’s office here.

The Congress alleged Trinamool Congress-backed assailants attacked Tapadar on the Kalyani Expressway at Jagaddal in North 24 Parganas district Thursday night.

“Police investigation is on. A detailed report is awaited,” the media note said.
