A little Yemeni girl has been crying stones instead of tears, which has baffled doctors and panicked superstitious villagers.

Saadiya Saleh produces little hard stones under her eyelids, which has gripped the villagers with the fear that she is possessed by the devil’s magic, the Mirror reported.

Doctors said they couldn’t give an explanation for this phenomenon since the 12-year-old girl isn’t suffering from any known disease.

Alessandro Nencini, who sentenced Knox to 28 years and six months and Italian Sollecito to 25 years in jail, spoke to many Italian newspapers the morning after he delivered the verdict, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Pakistani Taliban regrets Imran, Mufti distancing themselves from peace talks

The banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan have reportedly expressed their regret on PTI chief Imran Khan and JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah ‘s decision to not be a part of the committee chosen by the outfit to hold talks with the government.

TTP spokesman Sahidullah Shahid said that the group regretted the decision of PTI and JUI leaderships about distancing their representatives from the proposed peace talks.

Pak SC seeks report on minorities’ security following last year’s Peshawar church suicide bombing

The Pakistan Supreme Court has sought report on measures being taken for minorities’ security in the country.

The SC ordered the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-faith harmony to submit the report expressing concern over terrorist attacks like last year’s suicide bomb explosion at a church in Peshawar.

The court noted with concern that such incidents raised a serious question of public importance relating to the enforcement of fundamental rights.

Girl engulfed in flames died

A girl died after she was engulfed in flames suspiciously at Kandukur area of Rangareddy district. It is said that 19-year-old Devi alias Shashi Rekha D/O Yadaiah R/O Kandukur was found suspiciously burnt at her house on 29th January. She died in the hospital yesterday night.

According to police sources she was trying to light a lamp when the power was off when the incident occurred.

Police has registered a case and investigations are on.

Unable to bear husband’s harassment anymore, a woman committed suicide in Medipally area. According to sources the woman was very much troubled due to husband’s suspicion. The husband suspected her infidelity and was harassing her very much. Dejected over this the woman committed suicide. Police has registered a case and investigations are underway.

Kachiguda police said that the deceased Balraj, 35, was a carpenter and the resident of Rahamath Baug.

However, he was not keeping well for quite some time and took the extreme step of ending his life by hanging. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Mohamad Javad Zarif assured Western diplomats that Iran has the political will and good faith to reach a ‘balanced’ long-term agreement.

According to Politico, Zarif told a gathering of the world’s top diplomats and security officials that Iran and Western nations were just beginning to build the trust necessary for a long-term agreement.

Man committed suicide for not having kids

A man resident of Padmanagar, Chintal committed suicide for not having kids. The victim was identified as D. Sridhar, 27, a labourer.

According to Balanagar police, Sridhar quarrelled with his wife often for not conceiving. Apart from this, he was facing severe financial crisis.

A week ago he attempted suicide by consuming poison and was shifted to the hospital. He died on Monday while undergoing treatment. A case was registered and is being investigated.

The victim’s body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital and was later handed over to the family after an autopsy.

Sindh seeks return of Mohenjodaro’s Dancing Girl statue from India

The Sindh government has requested Islamabad for asking India to return the famous statue of the Dancing Girl, which is in possession of the Indian authorities since 1946.

The move from the provincial government comes as Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s Sindh Festival has turned people’s attention towards the culture and civilisation of Sindh.

According to Dawn News, a member of the Sindh cabinet said that they have written to the federal government to help repatriate the exiled heroine back from India.

Former South African President Nelson Mandela has reportedly left behind 4.13 million dollar estate that will be split among his family of more than 30 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

According to the executors of his will, Mandela has granted 1, 30,000 dollar plus royalties to the Mandela Trust.

Mandela has also set aside a part of his fortune for his personal staff, the governing ANC and several schools, giving away 300,000 dollars to each of his biological and step-children.

Analysts doubtful of success of Pak govt-Taliban peace talks

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government is planning to hold preliminary talks with representatives of the Taliban, a step taken to address the country’s most potent domestic threat.

The meeting is described as an introductory chat with the Islamist militant group, which has claimed more than 45,000 lives in decade-long insurgency.

If the first step towards the peace talks is unsuccessful, Sharif has signalled that he might order a military offensive to regain control of tribal areas under Taliban control, the Washington Post reports.

Mother of two children gangraped

On Monday, a 25-year-old tribal married woman was allegedly gangraped by two youth near Ganeswaram village in Khammam district.

On the word of reports, Ajmeera Rama, 28, and Maloth Mangilal, 20, chased the woman on a bike when she was going to her agricultural field. When they found no one in the environs, they took her against her will to a remote area and raped her. Ajmeera is a mother of two children.

The victim returned to the village and told villagers about the incident. Her relatives lay into the house of Rama. Police stopped them before they could attack Mangilal’s house.

German President to arrive in India today

German President Joachim Gauck, will pay a six-day state visit to India beginning today, at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.

President Joachim Gauck will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, members of Parliament and business leaders.

The visiting dignitary will arrive here this evening. He will inspect a Guard of Honour at Rashtrapati Bhawan the next day, after which he will visit Rajghat to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.

Apple’s wearable smartwatches likely to be powered by solar chargers

Apple is reportedly said to be exploring the possibility of using solar power-based charging in its range of highly anticipated wearable smartwatches.

Sources have claimed that the tech giant is considering equipping the smartwatch’s screen with a solar-charging layer that would top up the battery when the device is worn in daylight.

According to The Verge, such a solution is considered ‘years from becoming a reality’ and the company is yet to introduce such a tech to its iPhones.

Folk singer organises music campaign for peace in India’s northeast

Popular musician and folk singer of Manipur, Guru Rewben Mashangva, sang for peace in a musical campaign held in state capital Imphal recently.

Mashangva is now using his Roland ampli-speaker not for belting out his compositions, but for campaigning for peace in the state and in the rest of the north east region.

“The acoustic sound is what I like, because my music and my thoughts are very simple, it is either black or white and that is what my music to be like, clean and clear and simple,” said Mashangva.
