South Central Railway will temporarily augment the following express trains with additional Coaches to clear the extra rush / waitlisted passengers.
Train No. 17049 Machilipatnam – Secunderabad Express will be augmented with one additional AC III Tier Coach from January 21 to 31.
Train No. 17050 Secunderabad – Machilipatnam Express will be augmented with one additional AC III Tier Coach from January 22 to February 1.
Train No. 17209 Bangalore-Kakinada Town Seshadri Express will be augmented with o¬ne additional AC III Tier Coach from January 22 to February 1.

All members should speak on T Bill: Dulipalla

Seemandhra TDP leader Dhulipalla Narendra today asserted that all the members of the Assembly have to utilise their right to speak on Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill-2013.

Speaking to the media after adjournment of the House on Saturday, Dhulipalla asked the YSRCP members to come forward to participate in the debate on the Bill at least now. Govt takes over three Nizam sugar factories: Ministers

The State Government in principle has taken a decision to take over three Nizam Sugar factories functioning in three districts, according to Ministers P Sudershan Reddy and V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy. The government will take a decision after a cabinet approval on giving Rs 234 crore to the management for handing over all the three factories in Nizamabad, Medak and Karimnagar districts.

Minister inspects Wakf properties in city

Minorities Welfare and Wakf Minister SM Ahmedullah visited several Wakf properties in the city here on Saturday.

Speaking to media persons later, the minister said that the officials have been asked to prepare a plan to construct a commercial complex at the Wakf land at Begumpet which earlier housed Task Force office. Similarly, foundation stone for a G+4 complex at Hakeem Basheer Wakf at Khairtabad would be laid in the next 10 days.

Unauthorised buildings in Hafeezpet Demolished

GHMC Circle-12 has demolished the unauthorised structures constructed without municipal sanctioned plan in Plot No. 671, 19, 792 and opposite Hanuman Temple in Sy. No. 78 situated at Gokul Plots, Hafeezpet.
The general public are cautioned not to construct any building without obtaining building permissions and also not to purchase, sale or occupy in the said locality since the land in question is a government land, according to Revenue Records.

Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor cremated

The mortal remains of Sunanda Pushkar, who was found dead in mysterious circumstances at a luxury hotel last night, were consigned to flames on Saturday in presence of her family members.

Sunanda’s 21-year-old son Shiv Menon lit the pyre. Pushkar’s husband Union minister Shashi Tharoor, her father and brother were among the family members present at the Lodhi Road crematorium.

Gram sevaks to get Rs 6,000 per month: Minister

Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy on Saturday announced that salaries of Gram Sevaks would be hiked to Rs 6,000 per month.

Speaking in the Assembly, Raghuveera Reddy informed the House that he held discussions with Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and decided to hike monthly salaries of Gram Sevaks to Rs 6,000. The Chief Minister may also sign on the file relating to it in two or three days, he added.

The minister said the government was trying to improve the living standards of the lower cadre employees like Gram Sevaks. (NSS)

Sunanda Pushkar’s death a pre-planned murder: Subramanian Swamy

Commenting on the sudden death of Sunanda Pushkar, the wife of Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said that it seems to be a case of pre planned murder.

“The injury marks on her body, and the way this case is unfolding, it seems to be a well-planned murder,” said Swamy.

“We must know what is the truth, and who was she likely to harm, for whom was her living a dangerous thing,” he said.

“This case must definitely be investigated,” he added.

Student drowns in water sump, dies

A 16-year-old girl was died after she fell into the water sump in the premises of her residence in Chilkalguda police limits.

According to police, the victim, P Ramya, D/o Veera Chary, a ninth class student R/o Annanagar of Mailargadda, accidentally fell into the water sump on Jan 10 and unconscious, Immediately shifted to Gandhi hospital for treatment where she was died on Jan 18 early hours.
