Vidyut elated with appreciation for ‘Bullett Raja’

Actor Vidyut Jamwal is overwhelmed with the response he is getting for his performance in the recently released film `Bullett Raja`.

After being appreciated in `Commando` and `Force`, Vidyut made a special appearance in the Saif Ali Khan starrer film.
Even though it was a guest role in the film, critics as well as audience liked his performance.

“I am overwhelmed with the positive response I have been receiving. A big thanks to the audiences and critics,” Vidyut said.

No film or book on Aarushi case will be allowed: Talwars

Jailed dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar will “not allow” any film or book on the murder of their daughter Aarushi and anyone taking up such a venture without their consent will face legal action, their lawyer said on Sunday.

Manoj Sisodia, counsel for Talwars who have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the double- murder of Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, said the couple were “upset” with media reports on the issue and will not “allow any Hollywood and Bollywood film director to make films on Aarushi case.”

Shah Rukh Khan yet to sign my film: Rahul Dholakia

Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia said that superstar Shah Rukh Khan is yet to sign his film, which will be produced by director-actor Farhan Akhtar.

After the box-office success of the `Don` franchise, Farhan is teaming up with Shah Rukh yet again for the Dholakia directed film.

“Shah Rukh has not given his dates. We are yet to think about the leading lady. Anything related to the casting and shooting of the film is yet to be finalized. It is too early to talk anything about the film,” Rahul told PTI.

Tejpal grilling begins, remanded in 6-day police custody

Tarun Tejpal, accused of sexually assaulting a woman colleague, was today sent to police remand for six days following which Crime Branch officials began grilling him.

Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Shama Joshi ordered six days’ police custody of Tejpal after the prosecution sought his remand for 14 days.

Public prosecutor Frances Tavera sought police custody of Tejpal saying his custodial interrogation was needed because of the nature of the crime involved.

Tejpal’s lawyers opposed the demand for police custody saying he was cooperating with the Crime Branch.

Scientists have found that Alzheimer’s – a neurodegenerative disorder – may actually be a late stage of Type 2 diabetes.

The findings also suggest that losing weight and exercising may ward off Alzheimer’s, at least in the very early stages, researchers said.

The extra insulin produced by those with Type 2 diabetes also gets into the brain, disrupting its chemistry, which can lead to the formation of toxic clumps of amyloid proteins that poison brain cells, researchers said.

NSW premier visiting India to open trade, investment opportunities

New South Wales Premier Barry O”Farrell has left for a one-week visit to India to promote trade and investment opportunities in the state.

Simple urine test can help diagnose `aggressive bladder cancer`

A new study has revealed that a simple urine test could distinguish between aggressive and low-grade bladder cancers, thus helping doctors to tailor and speed up their treatment.

Researchers from the University of Birmingham measured levels of a protein shed by bladder tumours in 600 patients and found that higher amounts of the protein, EpCAM, in the urine were associated with more aggressive cancers, News.com.au reported.
