Two persons were killed and 18 others injured when a bus carrying a marriage party overturned on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway-92, police said on Monday.
Three of the injured were stated to be in a critical condition, they said.
The mishap occurred near Gijurra village on the national highway last evening when the driver of the speeding bus lost control of the vehicle following which it turned turtle.
The three critical passengers were referred to Gwalior for treatment while the other victims were admitted in Bhind district hospital.

Ten people have been killed in a gas explosion at a coal mine in central China’s Hunan Province, local authorities said today.
The blast took place yesterday afternoon at Simachong coal mine in Shaodong County of Shaoyang City, an officer with the publicity department of Shaodong said.
A total of 39 miners were working underground when the accident happened and 29 miners were lifted to safety, state- run Xinhua news agncy reported.

A head constable of Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself.
According to the police, head constable Sanjay Sharma (38) was posted at Nauchandhi police station in Meerut district since December last year. He was residing in police line with his wife and two children.
Today, Sharma accompanied his wife to Jaydevi Nagar where her parents were residing and shot himself after locking himself up in a room in the house.
Upon hearing the gun shot, the wife’s kin gathered and informed the police, but Sharma had died on the spot.
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a youth at Bhokaheri village here, police said on Monday.
The girl was abducted yesterday, taken to a nearby tubewell and raped, they said, adding that she has been sent for medical examination.
A case has been registered against a local youth under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
In a separate incident, two youths were handed over to police for allegedly eve-teasing girl students travelling in a bus yesterday, police said.

A man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl at a village here, police said today.
Three men had on May 29 abducted the 14-year-old girl from the district’s Shirapani village and after taking her to a secluded place, they raped her and fled, leaving her in an unconscious state.
When the victim regained consciousness, she informed her parents about the offence following which they filed a case with police.
An army jawan was arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 20-year-old daughter of a policeman in Shamli district, police said today.
Hari Om was arrested yesterday after the girl was recovered from Thanabhawan town on May 30 and produced in the Magistrate Court here that also looks into the jurisdiction of Shamli, they said.
Both the accused and the girl belong to Gogwan village, they said.
A local court today rejected the Mumbai crime branch’s plea to extend the custody of CSK team Principal Gurunath Meiyappan, Bollywood actor Vindoo Randhawa and two others arrested in the IPL betting case and remanded them in judicial custody till June 14.
The court observed that there is no ground made out for their further police custody.
“There is no further ground made out for police custody of the accused and they are remanded in judicial custody,” observed Additional Metropolitan Magistrate M. N. Saleem.
At least 55 people were killed Monday when a major fire swept through a poultry processing plant in northeast China’s Jilin province, authorities said.
The fire broke out at 6 a.m. at the slaughterhouse owned by the Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company in Mishazi township of Dehui city, said firefighters.
Over 300 workers were in the plant when the accident happened, survivors told Xinhua, adding that they heard a bang and then witnessed dark smoke at around 6 a.m.
About 100 workers managed to escape from the plant whose gate was locked when the fire occurred, said survivors.

(Siasat News): A 58-year-old man found dead in house under suspicious circumstances at Chandragiri colony in Naredmet.
The body of P Visveshwar Rao was found in his locked house by his tenant. The deceased was missing for the last few days.
According to Naredmet police, the tenant who resides in the rear portion of the house, noticed that the lights and fans in his owner’s portion were on as the house was locked from outside.
