KCR Sold Off ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ Says Errabelli
TDP leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao has alleged that TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao had sold off the “Sakala Janula Samme” that rocked the governments at the Centre and in the State.
Talking to the media here on Monday, Errabelli said if the strike was continued for one more week, Telangana would have been a reality. He questioned why KCR who was criticizing the TDP was not attacking the Congress president Sonia Gandhi or the vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

Two killed, 18 injured as bus overturns in MP
Two persons were killed and 18 others injured when a bus carrying a marriage party overturned on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway-92, police said on Monday.
Three of the injured were stated to be in a critical condition, they said.
The mishap occurred near Gijurra village on the national highway last evening when the driver of the speeding bus lost control of the vehicle following which it turned turtle.
The three critical passengers were referred to Gwalior for treatment while the other victims were admitted in Bhind district hospital.
Advani’s remark on Modi misinterpreted: Rajnath
With senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani’s comments on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi sparking a controversy, party president Rajnath Singh Monday claimed there had been a misinterpretation.
“I think Mr. Advani’s statement was misinterpreted,” Rajnath Singh told reporters here, when asked about the comparison the senior BJP leader made between Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Narendra Modi.

Afghan Taliban confirm talks in Iran
Afghanistan’s Taliban confirmed today that it sent a delegation to Iran for three days of talks, signaling that Tehran could be seeking the role of regional mediator in negotiations to end its neighbor’s 12-year war.
Spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi said in an email that emissaries from the Taliban’s political office met with Iranian officials over the weekend.
He said a separate group of Taliban clerics attended a religious conference in Tehran.
BJP wants government to advance Parliament session to pass food security bill
BJP president Rajnath Singh on Monday asked the government to advance the monsoon session of Parliament to pass the food security bill.
“We are ready for a debate on food security and land acquisition bills. We want these bills passed with some amendments. The monsoon session be advanced for this,” he told reporters here.
He said it would be a cruel joke, if an ordinance is issued on the proposed food security bill.
RP Singh denies association with Rhiti Sports
Pacer Rudra Pratap Singh on Monday denied being managed by Rhiti Sports, the firm in which Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni reportedly has a 15 per cent stake, raising questions of a possible conflict of interest.
A newspaper reported that Dhoni has a 15 per cent stake in the company, which, the report claimed, manages RP Singh, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja and Pragyan Ojha.
Interestingly, Raina and Jadeja are part of the same IPL franchise, the Chennai Super Kings, which is also captained by Dhoni.
10 killed in coal mine blast in China
Ten people have been killed in a gas explosion at a coal mine in central China’s Hunan Province, local authorities said today.
The blast took place yesterday afternoon at Simachong coal mine in Shaodong County of Shaoyang City, an officer with the publicity department of Shaodong said.
A total of 39 miners were working underground when the accident happened and 29 miners were lifted to safety, state- run Xinhua news agncy reported.

Wipe out Seemandhra parties from Telangana: KCR
Expressing his firm resolve to achieve statehood for the region, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday called upon the people to wipe out the Seemandhra parties from Telangana.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Nizam College Grounds here, KCR said that no Seemandhra party would ever give the post of Chief Minister to a leader of Telangana region. Therefore, he said that their presence in the region was not required. Making a specific reference to the TDP and YSR Congress party, he said that the parties want the Telangana leaders as their permanent slaves.
UP police head constable commits suicide
A head constable of Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself.
According to the police, head constable Sanjay Sharma (38) was posted at Nauchandhi police station in Meerut district since December last year. He was residing in police line with his wife and two children.
Today, Sharma accompanied his wife to Jaydevi Nagar where her parents were residing and shot himself after locking himself up in a room in the house.
Upon hearing the gun shot, the wife’s kin gathered and informed the police, but Sharma had died on the spot.
Minor girl raped Muzaffarnagar
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a youth at Bhokaheri village here, police said on Monday.
The girl was abducted yesterday, taken to a nearby tubewell and raped, they said, adding that she has been sent for medical examination.
A case has been registered against a local youth under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
In a separate incident, two youths were handed over to police for allegedly eve-teasing girl students travelling in a bus yesterday, police said.

Members of BeautifulPeople.com’s have helped the site set benchmark of attractiveness by voting other members in or out on the basis of their good looks, News.com.au reported.
According to Mashable, businesses that sign on to the site will have their own page, and will have access to 750,000 “attractive” people in the site and pursue those who are seeking a job.
One held for raping minor girl in MP
A man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl at a village here, police said today.
Three men had on May 29 abducted the 14-year-old girl from the district’s Shirapani village and after taking her to a secluded place, they raped her and fled, leaving her in an unconscious state.
When the victim regained consciousness, she informed her parents about the offence following which they filed a case with police.
Army jawan arrested on abduction, rape charges
An army jawan was arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 20-year-old daughter of a policeman in Shamli district, police said today.
Hari Om was arrested yesterday after the girl was recovered from Thanabhawan town on May 30 and produced in the Magistrate Court here that also looks into the jurisdiction of Shamli, they said.
Both the accused and the girl belong to Gogwan village, they said.
Meiyappan, Vindoo sent to judicial custody till Jun 14
A local court today rejected the Mumbai crime branch’s plea to extend the custody of CSK team Principal Gurunath Meiyappan, Bollywood actor Vindoo Randhawa and two others arrested in the IPL betting case and remanded them in judicial custody till June 14.
The court observed that there is no ground made out for their further police custody.
“There is no further ground made out for police custody of the accused and they are remanded in judicial custody,” observed Additional Metropolitan Magistrate M. N. Saleem.
55 killed in China slaughterhouse fire
At least 55 people were killed Monday when a major fire swept through a poultry processing plant in northeast China’s Jilin province, authorities said.
The fire broke out at 6 a.m. at the slaughterhouse owned by the Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company in Mishazi township of Dehui city, said firefighters.
Over 300 workers were in the plant when the accident happened, survivors told Xinhua, adding that they heard a bang and then witnessed dark smoke at around 6 a.m.
About 100 workers managed to escape from the plant whose gate was locked when the fire occurred, said survivors.

India should take out seven crore families out of poverty in the next 10 years, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi said Monday, while announcing that the government was preparing a special package for the northeast and hill states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
“In the next 10 years we have to bring seven crore families out of poverty. This is not an easy job,” Gandhi said at a function to mark the Ajeevika Diwas here.

Missing man found dead
(Siasat News): A 58-year-old man found dead in house under suspicious circumstances at Chandragiri colony in Naredmet.
The body of P Visveshwar Rao was found in his locked house by his tenant. The deceased was missing for the last few days.
According to Naredmet police, the tenant who resides in the rear portion of the house, noticed that the lights and fans in his owner’s portion were on as the house was locked from outside.
