Dr. Eesa Abdur Rahman son of Mr. Fazalur Rahman of Hyderabad who was serving the victims of Syria in refugee camps was killed recently he was serving for the past one year. He belongs to a businessmen family of Hyderabad he had come to Hyderabad in January 2012 to meet his relatives, he was 26 years old, he went to Syria through a British organization “Hand In Hand For Syria”.

UAE, Britain discuss relations

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Britain have held bilateral talks over undergoing joint projects.

The talks were held Tuesday between UAE’ minister of state for foreign affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash and British foreign office minister Alistair Burt.

Taliban attack governor office building in Afghanistan

At least one policeman was killed while several others were injured early Wednesday when some Taliban militants and suicide bombers attacked the provincial governor office building in Afghanistan’s Panjsher province, Xinhua reported.

The Panjsher province, about 200 km from Kabul, has been branded as the most peaceful province in eastern Afghanistan.

There are frequent reports in Chinese media of babies being abandoned, often shortly after birth, a problem attributed variously to young mothers unaware they were pregnant, the birth of an unwanted girl in a society which puts greater value on boys or China’s strict family planning rules.

Firefighters in eastern China have rescued an abandoned newborn baby boy lodged in a sewage pipe directly beneath a toilet commode, state television reported, in a case which has sparked anger on social media sites.

Burnt body of woman found in suitcase near vegetable market in Salem

The partially burnt body of a young woman was on Tuesday found inside a suitcase near a vegetable market, 37 km from here, police said.

The woman, aged between 20 to 24 years, was murdered somewhere and her body was burnt using petrol before being packed in a suitcase and brought here today by unidentified persons, police Inspector A Karunanidhi said.

About 80% of the body was burnt, he said.

Russian historians search for sunk US wartime bomber

Russian history enthusiasts are searching for the wreckage of an American-made bomber which crashed into the Yenisei river in Siberia during a delivery flight in World War II.

The aircraft — Douglas A-20 light bomber — was lost in 1943. It was one of the 8,000 planes sent to Russia by the US via the Russian Far East and Siberia as part of the Lend-Lease programme of military assistance to then USSR during the war.

Muslims and Buddhists clash in northern Myanmar

Muslims and Buddhists clashed in Myanmar’s northern city of Lashio on Tuesday, witnesses said, as a wave of sectarian violence reached a mountainous region near China’s border.

Phone lines were down in the city of about 131,000 people and the extent of the violence was unclear. Witnesses reported several large fires and said a mosque and Buddhist monastery appear to have been torched.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malawi have held discussions on the prospects of joint cooperation in sectors like labour market and manpower.

The talks were held here between visiting Malawi President Joyce Banda and UAE Minister for Labour Saqr Gobash.

The UAE minister briefed President Banda on the reality of the labour market in the UAE, describing it as ”flexible, open and attractive”.

Russia to buy variety of new army vehicles

Russia has announced its defence ministry will purchase a range of new vehicles, as it requires them for transportation of forces and other purposes.

“We have decided to start the serial purchase of a range of vehicles … we need the most mobile and modern vehicles for transporting our forces and supplies to areas of military activity,” Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said Tuesday during a visit to a military test centre.

The minister was at the defence ministry test centre in the Moscow region, where he watched a display of Russian-made military vehicles and equipment.

Over 40% Russian girls have sex by 18

Over 40 per cent of Russian women have sex before turning 18 and over 90 percent by age 24, but every fifth woman strongly believes in keeping her virginity until married, a study has found.

“Well over a third of the Russian women surveyed (42 per cent) had a sexual experience by age 18, while 92 per cent had by age of 24,” the survey by the Russian State Statistics Committee (Rosstat) said.

Conducted with the UN Population Fund, some 10,000 women between 15 and 44 years of age in 60 regions of Russia were questioned for the Rosstat survey.

Naidu’s Bus Yatra in July
