An 18 year old woman delivered 3 babies at Muslim Maternity Hospital. As per the press note of the hospital Mrs. Saleha Aleema wife of Abadur Rahman resident of Santoshnagar who had become pregnant for the first time was under the supervision of Dr. Yasmeen Iqbal head of the dept. of Obstetrician and Gynecology.

The woman delivered 2 baby boys and a baby girl on April 23 after 35 weeks of pregnancy. The three babies have been kept at the neonatal intensive care unit. They were suffering from respiratory problem which has been overcome by using high-flow nasal cannula.

Sham marriages shame Hyderabad

Jail authorities involved in the attack on Sarabjit: Sister

The brutal assault on Sarabjit Singh, who is in “deep coma”, was not possible without the involvement of jail authorities in Lahore and Pakistan should take immediate action against the perpetrators of the attack, his family said on Sunday.

“This is not possible without the involvement of the jail authorities,” the Indian death row convict’s sister Dalbir Kaur told reporters here before crossing over to Pakistan to meet 49-year-old Sarabjit who is battling for his life in a Lahore hospital after the brutal assault by jail inmates on Friday.

Khaja Ausafullah state topper in inter exams

Intermediate II year results have been announced. Khaja Ausafullah of Nizamabad topped the exam by securing 994 marks out of 1000. He belonged to MPC group. His percentage of marks is 99.4. No Hyderabadi student from MPC group is among the top ten.

Khan of Rangareddy found a place in the State toppers’ list with 987 marks while Shahana Begum got 3rd place in CEC group.

28-yr-old widow commits suicide following harassment

A 28-year-old widow committed suicide in Kadar Chowk area after being allegedly harassed by a youth, police said today.

Reshma immolated herself yesterday as she was being harassed by one Rashid in Bhabhuia village, additional SP Maan Singh said.

Reshma’s husband had died three years ago, he said, adding that she is survived by two children.

LPG subsidy directly in bank accounts from Oct 1

The government plans to provide subsidy to 14 crore LPG subscribers directly in their bank accounts from October 1, using the Aadhaar payment platform.

The government, official sources said, has decided to launch “Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for LPG throughout the country tentatively from October 1”.

“This (transfer of LPG subsidy) would require a much larger number of beneficiaries to be covered for opening of bank accounts and linked to Aadhaar and banks have been asked to get ready for the launch,” said one official.

AICTE’s role only advisory, not to issue sanctions: SC

The role of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is only “advisory” and it has no authority to issue any sanction on universities, the Supreme Court has said while clarifying that colleges affiliated to varsities are not required to take its approval for running MBA and MCA courses.

The apex court said as per provisions of the AICTE Act and University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, the council has no authority which empowers it to issue or enforce any sanctions on colleges affiliated with the universities as its role is to provide guidance and recommendations.

”Lack of favourable policy for MRO hampering growth”

India may be eyeing to become one of world’s largest aviation markets, but lack of favourable policy for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business is hampering the growth of the segment, MRO industry sources said.

The MRO sector, considered an important part of the aviation sector, is still neglected due to lack of proper policy, an industry official said.

According to an estimate, aircraft MRO business is currently worth $500 million and is likely to grow over $1.5 billion by 2020. India, currently, constitutes one per cent of the global MRO market worth $45 billion.

But officials are quick to point out that as long as Kerala sticks to its pristine form of ayurveda school, no challenge from anywhere can upset what is clearly the biggest tourist draw to the southern state.

Putin opposes free gun sales in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday he opposes the idea of allowing Russians to buy guns freely for self-defence purposes.

“I do not support the idea of free arms distribution in Russia,” Putin told Rossiya 24 television adding: “It is dangerous to artificially stimulate this process.”

Sarabjit’s family all set to leave for Lahore

The family members of Indian death row prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who is in coma after a murderous attack on him by fellow prisoners in a Lahore jail, will cross over to Pakistan Sunday afternoon to visit him in hospital.

The family was headed for Harmandir Sahib, the holiest of Sikh shrines here, popularly known as Golden Temple, Sunday morning to offer prayers before leaving for the Attari-Wagah international border between India and Pakistan, 30 km from here.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has said the recent violence in the country’s Sunni province is a sign that sectarian strife is returning to the country assisted by foreign plots.

“Sectarian strife in Iraq in the past was unprecedented, but now it comes back by planned schemes,” Maliki said here Saturday at the International Islamic Conference for the Convergence and Dialogue.

Clashes erupted Tuesday between Iraqi security forces and anti-government Sunni protesters in Hawijah, where hundreds of security members backed by helicopters stormed a sit-in by Sunni Arabs.
