Modi-phobia reflected in Rahul Gandhi’s speech: BJP

As soon as Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi finished addressing the annual general meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industries here on Thursday, the Bharatiya Janata Party expressed its disappointment.

“We hoped that he would speak on corruption, inflation but he has disappointed the nation,” said BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.

Another BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar went on to say that (Gujarat CM Narendra) Modi-phobia was being reflected in Gandhi’s speech.

Maoists blow up panchayat office in Jharkhand

Maoists blew up a panchayat bhavan in Lohardaga district, police said today.

A group of Left ultras reached Siram panchayat on Tuesday night and blew up the panchayat bhavan there, they said.

Security officials recovered a leaflet from the spot which stated it was a revenge attack following the killing of ten Maoists in Chatra last week.

Man arrested for raping his minor step-daughter

A 41-year-old man was arrested from the powerloom town of Bhiwandi for allegedly subjecting his mentally-challenged step-daughter to sexual abuse, police said on Thursday. “Kasim Hamid Shaikh allegedly used to rape the 14-year-old repeatedly at his house in Evai village in the district over a period of time,” a police official said.

Mumbai girl tops GRE with full marks

Mumbai girl Ashwini Nene has topped the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) – a pre-requisite for admissions to most US graduate schools and for some other countries – by scoring full marks of 340/340, an official said here on Wednesday.

Nene, 20, is a student of Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Andheri. The GRE results were announced by Educational Testing Services, a US-based organisation that conducts the examinations worldwide.

Coached by KIC Education in Andheri, Nene is one of the few students globally to have scored a full marks in a revised and tougher GRE format in 2013.

TRYING TO FIND SHORTCUTS BY TREADING CLOSE TO ‘MAKROOH’ AND ‘HARAM’

Not giving importance to what is approved by Allah and what is disapproved, leads some people to find shortcuts and tread close to the territory of haram. This gets them involved in ‘makrooh’ acts (undesirable but not haram). However, makrooh deeds eventually ensnare them in haram deeds.

The Prophet (Sallellahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said:
“Whoever falls into doubtful matters falls into haram, like a shepherd who grazes his flock around a place where he is not allowed – he will soon enter it…”

Two men try to molest kabaddi champion

In a courageous act, a national-level kabaddi champion got two men arrested when they tried to molest her, police said on Thursday. The incident took place at Satis skywalk on Tuesday night when Harshala More and her friends were returning after daily practice when the duo passed lewd comments at them, they said. The duo were identified as Ramesh Thorat (24) and Pritesh Gharat (26).

Makkah Masjid home guards deprived of deputation allowance

The home guards posted for the security of historical Makkah Masjid complained that they are not given deputation allowance by the Minority Welfare Department. Apart from this the information passed on to media persons by the Makkah Masjid superintendent regarding their salaries is incorrect.

Makkah Masjid Superintendent Nayeemuddin had told that each home guard is paid Rs. 6700 per month by the minority Welfare, but on the contrary the home guards are paid only Rs. 6000 per month that is Rs. 200 per day.

Stress on the implementation of RTE Act

There are 815 High Schools in Greater Hyderabad Municipal area out of which more than 75% schools are working in private buildings. Govt. has to pay the rents of these buildings since 1997.

Some NGO’s presented the statistics to the officials of Rajiv Vidya Mission and pointed out that in Hyderabad 2800 schools are likely to be closed down whereas Govt. proposes to establish one school in every slum colony. It is the bounden duty of the Govt. to open schools in slum areas.

EAMCET coaching started

This year the record number of candidates are registering for EAMCET examination because it is going to be the last examination. From the next year onwards, these tests would be held at all India level.

Nexus between TRS and KVP Ramachandra Rao

In order to defeat the staunch supporter of Telangana, Mr. Madhu Goud Yashki, TRS is trying to muster support from anti-Telangana parties.

Mr. Goud, while criticizing Mr. KCR and Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy told that there is a nexus between TRS and Dr. KVP Ramachandra Rao. Mr. Goud actively participated in Telangana Movement, However, TRS is trying to get support from Anti-Telangana parties defeat Mr. Goud. He told that he is not worried about it.

He told that Ms. Sonia Gandhi is in favour of Telangana. He hoped that the separate state of Telangana would be formed soon.

TRS attempts to strengthen its cadre in Hyderabad city but Minority leaders overlooked

TRS has finalized “Nagara Bata” programme to strengthen its party cadre in Greater Hyderabad area.

Under this programme Mr. KCR would tour various localities in the city to meet people. The purpose of this programme is to bring closer Minorities to TRS party. TRS Supremo, Mr. KCR has nominated incharges in all the 24 Assembly constituencies and 160 wards. He has nominated TRS MLA’s as in charges.

Justice Katju’s struggle is positive for the release of Muslim youths – INSAF

Leaders of INSAF organization have applauded the efforts of Mr. Justice Markandey Katju in the filed of Urdu Literature and also for getting the innocent Muslim youths released from Jail.

Senior leader of INSAF organization, namely Mr. Meer Ahmed Ali, Mr. Syed Aliuddin and Mr. Syed Hameeduddin appreciated Mr. Katju’s efforts and demanded the Govt. for releasing the innocent youths who have been implicated in false cases. Telangana Movement activists for 1969 Telangana expressed their anger for not celebrating the birthday of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, ruler of erstwhile Hyderabad State. They told that the State Govt. is celebrating the birthdays of Kakatiya and Vijayanagaram Kings. It is also celebrating the birthdays of the former Chief Ministers of AP but the birthday of the secular ruler of Hyderabad, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan who ruled Hyderabad for 37 years is not being celebrated by the state Govt.

KCR versus Vijayashanti for Medak Parliamentary seat

Addressing the extension meeting of State Executive Committee of Communist Party of India, state secretary director K Narayana felt it necessary to intensify protest against power tariff hike. Addressing party leaders he announced CPI and left parties resolve to continue stir till power tariff hike is rolled back by the government.

He appealed party leaders to make the bandh called by CPI and left parties on April 9, a success. Mr. Narayana maintained that the state government is responsible for the situation prevailing in the state as a result of massive power hike.

Heavy downpour in Hyderabad city yesterday

Hyderabad city witnessed heavy downpour yesterday evening with heavy storm. Many trees were uprooted and electric poles dislocated. Emergency Squad of GHMC was not available yesterday for help. Azampura Municipal ward office, Makkah Colony, Kala Pathar, Meer Alam Tank Filter, Doodh Bowli, Malakpet, TV Tower, Sayeedabad and Chanchalguda witnessed heavy rainfall.

With the force of speedy air currents, electric transformers also exploded. In Vinayaknagar locality of Amberpet a wall fell down which injured a labourer.

Maoists criticize Congress & TRS For Telangana

Nayeem and his companions would be punished in Public Court in Bodhan. CPI (Maoists) warned Nayeem in the near future that, punishment would be given to Nayeem and his companions. They have issued a notification by Saubhashivudu. CPI(M) is supporting the Bandh Call given by opposition parties. They also condemned the statement made by SP of Nalgonda that CPI(M) has become week.

CPI(M) leaders told that their party has not become week. They said it is the party which fights for the cause of the victims and the destitute. He appealed to the public to start war to get separate Telangana.

Mr. Ahmedullah proceeds to Baghdad

Minorities Welfare Minister of AP Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah proceeded to Baghdad to pay a visit to the Shrine of Hazrath Shaik Abdul Quader Jeelani. He will return after staying there for a week.

Officials of Minorities Welfare Dept, Minorities Finance Corporation and Wakf Board bid farewell to Mr. Ahmedullah.

Siasat’s SSC question bank was useful to students

According to a statement made by Mr. Shafiullah Khan of Murad Memorial Educational Trust, 80 to 100 questions asked in SSC Examination were from Siasat’s question bank booklet.

In Urdu (1st & 2nd papers) 90% in Telugu 90% English (III langugage, Paper I) 60 to 80% and in Mathematics, Paper I, 80% questions asked were from Siasat’s Question Bank booklet.

In this way, the question bank booklet, prepared and distributed by Siasat free for the benefit of SSC students proved to be very useful.

CBI is playing in the hands of Congress

YSR Congress leader, Ms. Sharmila completed 1500 km of her padayatara yesterday. She was addressing a public meeting at Pedana Bus Stand in Krishna District. She said that CBI is playing in the hands of the Congress and consequently it lost its importance. She blamed that Congress is taking revenge to all those who are raising their voice against it.

Bhagyalakshmi temple was built post 1959, says ASI

The Bhagyalakshmi temple which abuts the historic Charminar is an ‘unauthorized construction’ and was built post 1959, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) said, responding to an RTI query on the status of the temple and the raging debate over its existence for years.
