She presented herself as Ms. Sameena Nuzhat wife of Syed Amanullah Hussaini and got her passport in 2007. She traveled thrice on this passport to America. She obtained a green card in America in 2008. Her four children also got Indian passport by telling that they are the children of Ms. Sameena Nuzhat. They deposited their passports in American Consulate in Chennai in November last year for getting American Immigrant Visa. Commissioner of Task Force arrested Ms.

David Cameron defends Duchess Kate over `shop-window mannequin` comments

David Cameron has defended the Duchess of Cambridge, saying that author Hilary Mantel was “completely wrong” to compare her to a “shop-window mannequin.”

Mantel said at the London Review of Books Lecture that the duchess was “gloss varnished” with a “plastic smile.”

The British Prime Minister added that Mantel writes great books but what she’s said about Kate is completely misguided, the BBC reported.

Her speech was titled ‘Undressing Anne Boleyn’, referencing royal women.

Women in their 50s working full-time earn 20 pc less than men: Report

Women who are in their 50s and have a full-time job earn nearly 20 percent less than men of the same age.

The Trades Union Congress analysis, which is based on figures from the Office for National Statistics, showed that women earned up to 11.99 pounds an hour, and men of the same age are paid an average of 14.69 pounds.

According to the Daily Mail, the analysis found that in their 20s, women typically earn more than men and in their 30s they fall only slightly behind, but the gap grows rapidly in their 40s and reaches a peak in their 50s.

Social activist Anna Hazare on Wednesday said that his struggle was not over till the Right to reject and Right to recall was endorsed by Parliament. “Our struggle does not end with the Jan Lokpal issue. Before the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, around six crore people have to be made aware of it,” said Hazare while addressing a kisan mahapanchayat at the government inter college grounds in Unnao.

PGCET 2013 schedule released

Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test would be conducted from 22nd to 25th May 2013. Prof. A. Vennugopal Reddy, Convenor of PGCET 2013 told that the test would be conducted in 16 branches of Engineering subjects.

Each paper will be of two hours duration and there will 120 questions. The candidates have to mark the right answer. The test will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12 noon and 2 to 4 pm. Only online applications will be registered.

Murderer of Wife & Children arrested

Lakshmi Narasmiha Rao (48) a Software Engineer working in America killed his wife and two children on 13th October 2008 in America. After this, he fled to Frankfurt (Germany) from Detroit airport, reached Hyderabad and disappeared.

Michigan police is investigating this case. It obtained a non-bailable warrant from Auckland country court and got the red corner notice issued from Interpol. Based on the details of his passport Interpol had sought the help of Hyderabad City Police.

Last date of application for Constable’s posts extended upto 28th February

Chairman of State Level Recruitment Board issued a notification extending the last date of submission of applications for the posts of police constables upto 28th February 2013.

Police Department is recruiting 2500 police constables. Yesterday was the last date but only 2000 applications were received. On the representations made by various organizations and parents, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat wrote letters to DGP and other officials requesting them to extend the last date of submission of applications.

We are against honour killing, dress code for women: Khap to SC

Khap panchayats, which have come under judicial scrutiny for their diktats, have submitted to the Supreme Court that they do not pass any order for honour killing and are against any ban for use of mobile phones and wearing of jeans by women.

In an affidavit filed in the apex court, Sarvjatiya Sarv Khap Panchayat submitted that it has never violated law by passing such orders.

It, however, said that it has reservation in same gotra (sub-caste) marriage and submitted that Hindu Marriage Act for debarring such marriages.

No arrests yet in rape-murder of 3 minor sisters

It has been over a week since three minor sisters were allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered at Murwadi village in Bhandara district of Maharashtra, but the police have yet to make any arrest in the case.

While the police have been questioning suspects, no substantial leads have been found in the case.

The bodies of the girls, all below 11 years and missing since February 14, were found in a well in their native village on February 16. A complaint in this regard was lodged by their family on February 17, police informed.

Two children drown in well

Two children on Wednesday drowned in an agricultural well in the district, police said.

While their parents were engaged in work at a sugarcane field at Mogilipet village under Mallapur revenue mandal of the district, Amol Shankar Jadhav (12) and Nitin Narayan Chauhan (7) entered an agricultural well in search of water and drowned, Mallapur sub-inspector Chittibabu said.

The bodies were later fished out and sent to the government hospital for autopsy, police added.

Parliament set for stormy Budget Session

The Budget Session of Parliament beginning Thursday looks set to be stormy with Opposition vowing to strongly raise issues like corruption and inflation even though government expressed readiness to discuss all issues and order any kind of probe into the chopper scam.

However, a possible confrontation between government and BJP over Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde’s “Hindu terror” remark was averted on the eve of the Session as he expressed regret and the main Opposition welcomed it.

Three dead in Nigeria suicide attack

At least three people were killed and two injured in a suicide bomb attack Wednesday in Nigeria’s Maiduguri city, Xinhua reported. The dead included the suicide bomber.

The suicide bomber, suspected of links to the Boko Haram sect, targeted a patrol team in morning at post office round about in Maiduguri metropolis, said Sagir Musa, spokesperson for the Joint Task Force.

Maiduguri, located in Nigeria’s northeastern region, is a Boko Haram flashpoint, where the Nigerian government had to impose curfews following a wave of militant attacks.
