Teacher Bolts After Misbehaving With Girl Students

A teacher ran away after allegedly misbehaving with girl students of Class X in the capital city.
According to the information, the teacher of Santiniketan school in Jeedimetla was misbehaving with Class X girl students. Five students stopped going to the school because of the misbehavior of the teacher.

On knowing about it, parents staged a protest at the school and damaged the furniture. The teacher went into a hiding to save his skin. (NSS)

Shankar Rao not cooperating, says CID

The State Police said that former minister Dr P Shankar Rao is not cooperating in the incident of him being taken into custody for investigation of Greenfield lands scam.

CID Additional DG Krishna Prasad said that Dr Rao has not been cooperative in the investigation of the case. There was all round criticism on police about the way in which he was taken into custody and the Chief Minister had ordered a high level inquiry into the incident.

CPM to intensify stir on power charges

The CPM has said that it will intensify the agitation against hike in power charges and will be joined by various organizations.

“We will intensify the agitation and take it forward with the help of various people’s organizations,” CPM State Secretary BV Raghavulu said after releasing a book that has full data and details on the hiked power charges. The book reveals that the burden on lower and middle class people is over 110 per cent but it the hike was nominal on big industrialists and wealthy.

Akbar changed voice in forensic test?

MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi reportedly changed his voice when he was examined by forensic experts in the presence of the Nirmal magistrate.

Akbaruddin was taken to Nirmal for voice test. Forensic experts took the sample of his voice to compare it with the voice in his Nirmal hate speech of December 22, 2012. It is learnt that when forensic doctor reportedly asked Akbar if he was changing his voice, he said it was due to his ill-health that his voice had changed. Europol has revealed that 380 football matches across the globe are under suspicion of match-fixing, following a lengthy investigation into what it considers a criminal network within the sport.

A total of 425 players, officials and other individuals are suspected of being involved in an organised crime syndicate based in Asia, which is thought to have been organising the operation to rig the results of matches.

Hang all six, Rape victim’s father

All those behind the Dec 16 gang-rape here should be hanged, said the father of the 23-year-old victim stressing that he would pursue the case till the end.

As the case against the five accused in the gang-rape of the young woman, who succumbed to her grievous injuries on Dec 29, began in a Delhi court, her father addressed a press conference Tuesday to assert that he would approach the courts to ensure justice was done.

“I want all six of them to be hanged. We will go to the court and pursue the case till the end,” he said, with his son by his side. The sixth accused is a juvenile.

90% of Mars’ surface mapped in 3D

The high-resolution stereo camera on the European Space Agency’s Mars Express, which completes ten years since launch this June, has mapped nearly 90 percent of Mars’ surface.

The mosaic comprises 2702 individual swaths of the Martian surface, up to and including the spacecraft’s 10 821st orbit of the planet, which it completed on 30 June 2012.

In total, 87.8 percent of the surface has been mapped at any resolution, with 61.5 percent mapped at a resolution of 20 m per pixel or better. The map is equatorially aligned, meaning that regions at the poles appear distorted.

Impose Sec 144 of CrPC if wild animal strays, suggests NTCA

If a wild animal like tiger or leopard strays into human habitat, impose Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) that prohibits assembly of more than four persons in a particular area.

This is part of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developed by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) to prevent attacks with an aim of ensuring that such wild carnivores do not fall victim of mob fury as also not to cause injuries to people by the animal.

Milkha Singh charged only one rupee for his biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’

Flying Sikh Milkha Singh took just one rupee from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to allow him to make a film on his life. What`s special about the currency note is that it was printed in 1958, the year when the athlete won the first gold medal for independent India in the Commonwealth Games.

Nokia wins $1.35 mln grant to make ‘world’s strongest material’ graphene

Mobile maker Nokia has been approved for a 1.35 billion dollars grant to develop “the world”s strongest material,” known as graphene.

Graphene is made up of pure carbon and is only one-atom thick.

Nokia claims that it is 300 times stronger than steel.
