Police notice pasted at Akbar Owaisi’s house

Andhra Pradesh Police have pasted a notice at the residence of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, who has been booked for delivering alleged hate speeches and is away in London.

A day after registering the cases, police in Adilabad and Nizamabad districts served the notices on the legislator, who is in London for treatment. As nobody was available at his house in Banjara Hills here, police pasted the notices on the wall of the main entrance.

V Hanumanth Rao demands Akbar Owaisi’s arrest

Secretary AICC and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanth Rao demanded immediate arrest of Akbaruddin Owaisi. Addressing a press conference here he told that Akbar Owaisi deems democracy an arena and gives warning that his Massacre of Hindus will be biggest in the history.

Mr. Rao claimed that Akbar Owaisi is instigating hatred only for political gain and wants to convert the peaceful atmosphere of the state including Hyderabad into bloodshed.

Hindus, Muslims will teach Majlis a lesson: J Prakash Reddy

Strongly condemning Akbaruddin Owaisi’s controversial remarks against Hindus and their deities, government chief whip J Prakash Reddy said that if all the Hindus unitedly give a blow, Akbar Owaisi will fly like a straw.

Talking to media here he claimed that by adopting political strategy in the name of religion, it is being tried to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The day is not far when Hindus and Muslims both will teach Majlis a lesson.

He said Majlis has no right to take the name of Hindus. Hindus and Muslims are like brothers in the state. He declared Majlis a communal party.

At 86, Hefner wants baby with Harris

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner and his newlywed wife Crystal Harris reportedly want to have a baby.

Hefner, 86, tied the knot with Harris, 26, Dec 31 and now wants to expand their family by having a child.

“Crystal’s desperate to have Hugh’s baby. She thinks it would be the most beautiful way imaginable to show him how much she really loves him,” dailystar.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

Hefner has also shown similar intentions and has been telling family and friends about it.

‘BPOs see 40% drop in productivity after Delhi rape incident’

Majority of BPO and KPO firms surveyed by Assocham have said they have witnessed a 40 per cent decline in productivity at work in the last 15 days as women employees have either reduced working hours or quit jobs in the backdrop of the horrendous Delhi rape incident.

About 82 per cent of women respondents, mainly working in National Capital Region (NCR), said they have started leaving early after the sunset on account of security concerns, the industry chamber has said in a survey.

Scans that track the ebb and flow of blood within the brain revealed that regions associated with paying close attention momentarily go offline.

Urdu speaker’s rights violated in Urdu University

A delegation of MANUU Action Committee against irregularities in Urdu University led by former MP Syed Aziz Pasha met Chancellor University Mrs. Syeda Saiyidain Hameed and submitted written complaint to her.

In a meeting held at the resident of PM Bhargava, Aziz Pasha expressed concern over the recruitment of non local and non Urdu candidates and said that appointment of non-Urdu speakers on the high posts of the university aimed to promote Urdu language and to provide employment to Urdu speakers is sheer injustice to the Urdu speakers.

Akbar’s speech has damaged MIM as never before

Although MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is notorious for delivering hate speeches, this time he could have gone too far. While one Old City TV channel reportedly owned by some MIM leaders telecast Akbaruddin’s speech live and later uploaded it on its website and thus unwittingly did in the legislator, the Election Commission of India could take cognizance of the speech and there is a possibility of the Owaisi scion finding himself debarred from contesting elections, felt political leaders and activists of various groups in the city.

Woman commits suicide
(Siasat News): A woman committed suicide after having a row with her brother-in-law (sister’s husband). This incident occurred in Musheerabad police station limits where Sujatha, 34, wife of Brahma Rao and resident of Anjiah Nagar, attempted suicide and died today.

As per the details, Sujatha had differences with her neighbour who was happened to be his brother-in-law.

The height of the difference can be gauged by this that both the parties had lodged complaints against each other in police station.

Poor students in Urdu medium schools study under the trees

Almost every school in the old city lacks basic facilities. It seems as if the old city is being deliberately converted into a slum area. The poor students of old city do not even have buildings to study in. In some areas teachers teach students by making them sit under the trees. With lack of furniture students have to sit on the ground itself. The schools of old city not only lack adequate furniture but they also lack toilet facility. There are some schools in which all the classes are run in two or three rooms. In some schools vidya volunteers are employed to teach the students.

First Hindu American Congresswoman takes oath on Bhagavad Gita

Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii has created history by not only becoming the first Hindu ever to be sworn in as a member of the US House of Representatives, but also being the first ever US lawmaker to have taken oath of office on the sacred Bhagavad Gita.

Tension in Tandur over petty issue

Communal tension prevailed at Basheerabad mandal near Tandur yesterday evening. At least 5 persons were injured as a result of clash between two groups. According to details some boys were playing football in the evening at Basheerabad mandal and Ayyapa puja was carried out in a nearby temple. The ball went near the temple which evoked altercation between the two communities after which it was tried to create communal tension in a planned manner.

Delhi shivers as temperature dips to 2.7 degree Celsius

Delhiites on Friday pulled out more woollens from their winter wardrobe as morning temperature plummeted to the season’s lowest of 2.7 degree Celsius. Friday’s minimum is four degree Celsius below normal and down from Thursday’s 4.4 degrees Celsius. Thursday’s maximum was 12.7 degree Celsius.

Fog in the Friday morning hours slowed down traffic. On Tuesday, the minimum had dipped to four degree Celsius, the previous lowest for the season.

Six-week-old baby dies after bitten by rat in Mumbai

A six-week-old baby died on Wednesday after a rat bit away her cheek and part of her nose.

However, the initial postmortem report said that the girl died of pneumonia, the police said.

The police said that the parents of Sakshi Yadav, a resident of suburban Borivili, rushed her to the civic-run Bhagwati Hospital at around 5.30 am, but she was declared dead before admission.

The police said that Sakshi slept near her parents and when her mother woke at 5 am, she saw the wounds after which she was rushed to the hospital.

In an embarrassment for the Bharatiya Janata Party, a Madhya Pradesh Cabinet minister has stirred more controversy by making an irresponsible remark. He suggested that if women breach their moral limits, they ask for punishment.

Reports, Friday, claimed that Kailash Vijayvargiya, a BJP leader and Cabinet Minister in the MP government said quoting Ramayana, “Ek hi shabd hai – Maryada. Maryada ka ulanghan hota hai, toh Sita-haran ho jata hai. Laxman-rekha har vyakti ki khichi gayi hai. Us Laxman-rekha ko koi bhi par karega, toh Rawan samne baitha hai, woh Sita-haran karke le jayega.’

Malala to undergo skull surgery

Shot teenage Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai will undergo skull surgery within weeks at the British hospital where she is recovering from her injuries, the Pakistani government said on Thursday.

Malala, 15, was brought to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on October 15 after Taliban gunmen shot her in the head as she travelled on a school bus in the northwestern district of Swat.

Her cranial reconstruction surgery will be carried out in late January or early February “as part of her long-term recovery”, said a statement released by the Pakistani High Commission in London.

Bera, Tulsi create history; sworn in as US lawmakers

Indian American physician from California, Ami Bera, and the young Iraq war veteran from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard, created history yesterday after being sworn in as new members of the US House of Representatives.

Bera is only the third Indian American — after Dalip Singh Saundh in 1950 and Bobby Jindal in 2005 — to have ever been elected to the House of Representatives.

Tulsi Gabbard is the first Hindu ever to win the Congressional election.

“Owaisi would be arrested if the charges confirmed”: DGP

Akbar Owaisi, would be arrested if the charges against him were confirmed in the investigation,  according to Director General of Police V. Dinesh Reddy. He said notices would be served with immediate effect on Mr. Owaisi, who is presently in London.

According to a report published in The Hindu, the police have decided to wait for Owaisi’s return and were hopeful that he would come back.

Dinesh Reddy told reporters that, “we will requisition the services of the Interpol if there is an iota of doubt that he is purposefully trying to avoid police investigation.”
