Chairman of 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Dr. N.Tulasi Reddy bitterly criticized TDP Chief, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu and said that he has started the craze for affixing his signatures right now.

He is making false promises that he would, affix signatures first on the files pertaining to waiver of loans to farmers.

He has declared that he would affix second signature on the files to close down illicit liquor shops and the third signature on NTR Sarvajala Srawanthi Scheme.

Simple Elachi Mutton

Ingredients:
1/2 kg – good mutton chops
12 – green cardamoms (powdered with their skins)
2 tsp – pepper powder
2 tbsp – coriander powder
2 – inch piece ginger (crushed)
handful of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
2 tbsp – wheat flour mixed with 6 tbsp water
4 tbsp – oil
salt to taste
sufficient water to cook the mutton

Method
Clean and wash the mutton.
Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
Add the crushed ginger and cardamoms.
Saute on a low flame till golden. Add the mutton chops and salt.
Saute the mutton chops on a low flame.

Ingredients:
1 kg – desi chicken
2 whole pods – garlic (burn the garlic on the gas till brown)
1 – onion (burn on the gas till brown)
� – vati sukha copra (dry coconut)
� cup – coriander leaves
1″ – ginger
2 tbsp – malvani masala
1 tbsp – garam masala powder
pinch – turmeric powder
juice – one lime
2 tbsp – ghee
1 – onion (sliced finely)
� – glass water
finely chopped coriander leaves (to garnish)
salt to taste

Method
Make a smooth paste of garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, lime juice, malvani masala and turmeric powder.
Wash and clean the chicken pieces.

Brain bleeds bug high altitude climbers

Mountaineers experiencing high altitude sickness have traces of bleeding in the brain years after the incident, say a new study.

High altitude cerebral edema (HACE) is a severe and often fatal condition that can affect mountain climbers, hikers, skiers and travellers at high altitudes – typically above 7,000 feet, or 2,300 meters.

HACE results from swelling of brain tissue due to leakage of fluids from the capillaries. Symptoms include headache, loss of coordination and decreasing levels of consciousness.

Separate sub plan for minorities on par with BCs demanded

Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmedullah has welcomed the decision of state government regarding sanction of separate sub plan for SC and ST classes in the budget. He appealed Kiran Kumar Reddy to prepare separate sub plan for Minorities also so that the budget allotted for the welfare and prosperity of minorities can by rightly used.

Minority Welfare Minister told that he has made representation with chief minister regarding sub plan for minorities on which chief minister has assured sympathetic consideration. He assured to convene a meeting of officials shortly in this connection.

Pakistan all set to go to polls in May

Pakistan’s next general election will be held in May, information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday, offering for the first time a specific timeframe for the polls.

“The general election will be held in May next year. In the presence of a vibrant media and independent judiciary , there is no chance of postponement of the elections,” Kaira said . The Pakistan Peoples Party-led government will ensure free and fair polls under an independent interim caretaker set-up and the election commission , he said.

Inflation in India higher than other BRICS nations: Thomas

Inflation in India is higher as compared to other BRICS countries, Food Minister K V Thomas informed Parliament on Tuesday.

“According to the RBI sources, inflation in India is higher as compared to other BRIC nations,” he said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

Inflation declined marginally to 7.45 percent in October even though prices of food items like rice, wheat pulses and potato showed a rising trend.

Inflation, as measured by the Wholesale Price Index (WPI), was 7.81 percent in September. In October last year, it stood at a high of 9.87 percent.

No Secret talks with US: Iran

Tehran has dismissed media reports stating it held secret talks with Washington.

Iran said that the alleged talks were an attempt by US politicians to encourage a bigger turnout in November presidential polls.

“As long as the US sticks to past policies, there will be no need for negotiations,” reported Press TV quoting Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast.

“When fair conditions for talks are provided, we will welcome [negotiations], but we have not yet observed any fundamental change [in US behaviour].”

Taliban threaten to kill Pakistani dam workers

The Pakistani Taliban Tuesday threatened to kill eight kidnapped employees of a dam project by Dec 3 if the government failed to meet the terror outfit’s demands, the Dawn reported.

The kidnapped people worked at the Gomal Zam Dam hydro-electric power and irrigation project in South Waziristan region. They are two engineers, four security personnel and two staffers.

A 46-minute video, recorded Nov 23 and released Tuesday, showed the kidnapped men seeking the government’s help and relaying the militants’ message. It gave the government six days to react.

Omar demands rail coach factory for J&K

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today demanded setting up of a rail coach factory in the state in order to help it overcome industrial backwardness and fast-track the pace of economic development.

“The Centre should announce rail coach factory in the state as it has done Punjab in order to help the state overcome industrial backwardness and economic shortcomings,” Omar said addressing an ASSOCHAM seminar here.

He also emphasised on transfer of Salal, Dulhasti and Uri power projects to the state and stressed on support to specifically cater to its needs.

J&K: Gujjar body demands reservation in Panchayats

Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha today demanded reservation in Panchayati Raj institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We demand political reservation in Panchayati Raj system in Jammu and Kashmir which is the basic and primary institution of administrative set up,” ABGM chief Eshfaq-ur- Rehman Poswal told reporters here.

“Besides this, we also demand implementation of 73rd amendment in J&K for empowering Panches and Sarpanches at grassroot level,” he said.

Egypt’s judiciary refuses to send Mubarak to military hospital

Egyptian judiciary has rejected a request made for transfering country’s former president Hosni Mubarak from prison hospital to a military hospital, Xinhua reported.

Mubarak and his former interior minister Habib al-Adli are serving life sentence in prison over charge of ordering to kill protesters during the uprising last year.

The country’s Cairo Administrative Court refused Tuesday the appeal to transfer Mubarak from the hospital of Tora prison to a military hospital, according to official news agency MENA.

1993 blasts serve basis for Advani’s upcoming film ‘D Day’

Filmmaker Nikhil Advani, who is working on a high-octane action film titled ‘D Day’, feels the 1993 blasts that had rocked Mumbai inspired him to make this movie.

“‘D Day’ is about a particular day when things go either very right or wrong. It is an espionage film. It has got a lot of action. I would love to talk about the plot of the film, but it is like giving away too much of information,” Nikhil told PTI.

It was the 1993 Mumbai blasts that made Nikhil ponder over the communal differences in the society, which provided the germ for the film.

Four killed, 40 injured as van overturns in West Bengal

Four persons were killed and 40 others injured, 12 of them critically, when their van overturned at Mongalbari on NH 34 in Malda district on Wednesday.

The mishap took place when some residents of Pakuahat’s Mallipara village were returning after a cremation, police said.

While one person died on the spot, three others succumbed to injuries in the hospital, they said.

The injured have been admitted to Malda Medical College Hospital, they said, adding the condition of 12 of the injured was critical.

“Kamal Nath will meet Arun Jaitley Wednesday to discuss the logjam over FDI in retail,” said government sources.

Not designating China a currency manipulator: U.S.

Chinese currency still remains significantly undervalued but the steps taken by the country to reduce intervention in exchange markets and the recent appreciation of reminibi means that it cannot be designated as a currency manipulator, the U.S. has said.

The U.S. Department of Treasury, however, said in its Semi-Annual Report to Congress on International Economic and Exchange Rate Policies that China’s currency still needs to further appreciate against the dollar and other currencies.

The Indian cricket board on Wednesday claimed it was unaware of any talks between senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar and national selectors on his future in the wake of a prolonged form slump.

“I am not aware of it,” said BCCI secretary and senior selection panel convener Sanjay Jagdale when contacted in Indore for his reaction to media reports that Tendulkar spoke to chief selector Sandeep Patil before Tuesday’s selection meeting at the board headquarters in Mumbai.
