A consultative meeting of All India Milli Council, A.P. Branch was held under the Chairmanship of its Vice President Mr. Hyder Mohammed Ghori in which implications of Direct Tax Code bill were discussed.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Engineer, Secretary of All India Milli Council AP told that the draft of Direct Tax Bill should be communicated to public. Although, it is under the consideration of the standing committee of the Ministry of Finance, the chances of its presentation in the Parliament can’t be ignored.

Andhra Pradesh-based noted evangelist KA Paul was on Monday held in connection with the murder of his brother David in the year 2010.

According to reports, Paul was arrested by the authorities in the Prakasham district in Andhra Pradesh. Paul’s brother David was murdered in connection with a property dispute.

Paul floated the Praja Santhi Party in 2007 to contest the Assembly Elections while he was at loggerheads with the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. However, he lost the election and accused all the political leaders of hatching a conspiracy against his gospel.

A person called Nabi Saheb is very poor and he is involved in many problems for the past so many years. He has a son by name Abdullah and a daughter. Abdullah was the student of Xth Class and his sister was studying in VIIIth class. Abdulllah discontinued his education and started labour work to feed the family.

Zakat and Charitable Trust had selected the students who had secured more than 90% marks in SSC and got them admitted in Chaitanya Residential Colleges in 2011-12. The Trust took the responsibility of their educational and residential expenses amounting to Rs. 60 per head per annum.

Out of 37 students, 34 students performed well. Six students secured 96% to 99% marks, 15 students got 90 to 95% marks whereas 16 students secured 80% to 90% marks in Intermediate Board Examination.

Mr. Vayalar Ravi, Congress Party observer for AP released Urdu posters for election campaign of 12 districts of AP. He advised the Minority leaders to devote themselves for election campaign and play a pivotal role.

Urdu posters were prepared by Minority cell of Congress Party. Present on this occasion were Mr. Mohammed Sirajuddin, President Minority Department, Mr. Syed Yousuf Hashmi, Convener Minority Dept. Mr. Mohammed Parvez, Mr. Habeeb Zainulabedeen, Mr. Meraj Khan, Dr. M.A. Ansari, Mr. Ajaz Khan and others.

Khairatabad Division of CPI organized Dharna programme in front of Water Works Dept at Khairatabad with empty pots. Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha, former Rajya Sabha MP, Mr. V.S. Bose City Secretary, Mr. E.T. Narasimha, Dr. Sudhakar, Mr. S.A. Mannan, Mr. Mohammed Saleem Khan, Mr. Hafeezuddin Afroze, Ms. Fahmeeda, Ms. Chaya Devi, Ms. Bharathi and hundreds of other CPI workers participated in the Dharna programme.

Noted lawyer Mr. K. Pratap Reddy, will deliver a lecture on “The inhibitions of insecurity among the Muslims” at 6:30 pm, on 26th May at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Oriental Research Institute, Public Garden. Mr. Justice B. Sudershan Reddy, former judge of Supreme Court will preside over the function. Mr. Ghulam Yazdani senior advocate and President of the institute and Mr. Meer Kamaluddin Ali Khan, secretary of the institute has requested the interested person to attend this meeting.

Mr. Ghulam Mohammed, Managing Director of Dynamic Medical and Surgicals Private Limited has been nominated as member of the Advisory Committee of the Osmania University Centre for International Programmes.

His term of office will be one year. Registrar of Osmania University has issued these orders.

Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) is being conducted throughout the state on 31st May 2012. Hall Tickets of this exam may be downloaded from the website. Out of 150 maximum marks, a candidate has to secure 90 (60%) marks to qualify.

The test papers consist of Govt.’s educational and other policies, besides teaching aptitude and Urdu and English languages.

Under the auspices of Anjuman-e-Muhibban-e-Urdu AP the third international Mushaira will be held at 7 pm at Lalitha Kala Thoranum, Public Garden today the 21st May 2012. The convener of Mushaira is Mr. Mohammed Miskeen Ahmed. Mr. Khaleeq Ur Rahman is the Chairman of the Advisory Committee. Hakeem Mushtaque Ahmed, former Director, Central Research Institute for Unani has been selected as Professor and Chairman, Board of studies of Unani Medicine at University of Western Camp of South Africa.

In order to celebrate this occasion, a felicitation function is being arranged under the auspices of Hakeem Abdur Razzak Research Foundation for Unani Medicine.

The function will be held at 4 pm on Monday 21st May at the Auditorium of the Central Research Institute for Unani at Yerragadda.
