A consultative meeting of All India Milli Council, A.P. Branch was held under the Chairmanship of its Vice President Mr. Hyder Mohammed Ghori in which implications of Direct Tax Code bill were discussed.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Engineer, Secretary of All India Milli Council AP told that the draft of Direct Tax Bill should be communicated to public. Although, it is under the consideration of the standing committee of the Ministry of Finance, the chances of its presentation in the Parliament can’t be ignored.

Evangelist KA Paul arrested for brother’s murder

Andhra Pradesh-based noted evangelist KA Paul was on Monday held in connection with the murder of his brother David in the year 2010.

According to reports, Paul was arrested by the authorities in the Prakasham district in Andhra Pradesh. Paul’s brother David was murdered in connection with a property dispute.

Paul floated the Praja Santhi Party in 2007 to contest the Assembly Elections while he was at loggerheads with the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. However, he lost the election and accused all the political leaders of hatching a conspiracy against his gospel.

Parliamentarian A H M Azwar asked TNA MP Mavai Senethirajah where he was when 75,000 Muslims were driven away from Jaffna. Azwer was participating in an adjournment motion in Parliament moved by TNA MP Mavai Senathirajah. Chicken dealer murdered in Moghalpura

(Siasat News): A chicken dealer was murdered in Moghalpura. According to details, Akbar, 42, resident of Falaknuma was severely beaten by his friend Osman over a petty matter.

Akbar died later. Inspector Moghalpura Syed Fayazuddin said that the ghastly murder was committed near a chicken center.

It is said that Akbar owed some money to Osman and Osman was demanding the money. Today, both the friends had heated argument over this and Osman allegedly beat Akbar, which proved fatal.

California Fetes Islamic Art Evolution

Celebrating the rich history of Islamic art, an exhibition in Santa Clara, California, is showcasing pieces that reflect art evolution by US Muslim artists.

“We saw a need to have a show of Islamic Art as it has evolved in different forms, not just the traditional, classic art,” Nabeela Raza Sajjad, founder of the nonprofit Islamic Art Exhibit (IAE), told The Santa Clara Weekly.

UP may give inheritance rights to Muslim women

Muslim women may finally get their due share in family inheritance. The long standing demand of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board for a suitable amendment in the UP Zamindari Abolition and Land Reform Act 1950 to bring it at par with the Shariat is likely to get an official nod soon. After AIMPLB reasserted its stance last month, the state government is considering the option to push through the politically correct agenda in the assembly session which begins on May 28.

Lalu playing religion card to cajole Muslims

Speaking over the latest Shahrukh Khan controversy following his alleged brawl with MCA officials inside the Wankhede stadium, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav claimed that the actor was targeted because he is a Muslim. He said “Shahrukh Khan was recently insulted. It happened because he is a Muslim and then all sorts of allegations were levelled against him, apart from making the police to humiliate him’. Scholars selected by Zakat & Charitable Trust performed well in Inter exam

Zakat and Charitable Trust had selected the students who had secured more than 90% marks in SSC and got them admitted in Chaitanya Residential Colleges in 2011-12. The Trust took the responsibility of their educational and residential expenses amounting to Rs. 60 per head per annum.

Out of 37 students, 34 students performed well. Six students secured 96% to 99% marks, 15 students got 90 to 95% marks whereas 16 students secured 80% to 90% marks in Intermediate Board Examination.

The incident was part of a testing of cutting edge 3D technology used in printing. The tech professional said that he has participated in many weird experiments, but this one took the cake – sorry, chocolate, reports Orange.co.uk.

The man underwent an MRI – a map of his brain was fed into a computer and then printed out with the help of a 3D printer.

Royal Challengers player KP Appanna’s name has cropped up in the investigations into the molestation case of an American woman allegedly by an Australian cricketer in Delhi last week.Investigators claimed that Appanna was the person who accompanied Pomersbach when he went to the victim’s room for the second time.

Pomersbach was arrested on Friday after Zohal Hamid alleged that he molested her and hit her fiance Sahil Peerzada when he objected to the cricketer’s behaviour. Peerzada was punched in his ear following which he had to undergo a surgery.

Woman raped thrice, four held

She was raped at 3 locations in the city.A 32-year-old woman was abducted and gang raped by six people in south-east Delhi at different locations within four hours. Police have arrested four out of the six accused while two are still absconding.

After her work on Friday, the victim was waiting for a bus. Four youths, including one who was aquainted to the woman, asked her to sit in an Gramin Sewa autorickshaw around 7 pm.

Pak gives the boot to ‘ blasphemous’ Twitter

Pakistani authorities on Sunday blocked access to Twitter on the ground that it was being used to publicise a contest for blasphemous caricatures of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) on Facebook.

The move came hours after Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik’s claim in a message posted on Twitter early in the morning that no restrictions would be imposed on the popular micro- blogging site.

The information technology ministry said Twitter had been blocked for publicising blasphemous and inflammatory content.
