The Dharamshala police has arrested Prashant Yogi, who claims to be a disciple of Osho Rajneesh and runs a meditation centre here, on charge of secretly filming women bathing in the nude inside the washrooms. He was released on bail on Friday.

Prashant Yogi runs a website for his meditation centre. He installed secret spycams inside the washrooms in order to make nude videos of women who used to come and say in his ashram.

Oregon police say they’ve found mother of three abandoned children

Portland, Police said Friday that they tracked down the mother of three children — all apparently 3 years old or younger — who were found alone the previous morning in a vacant building in Portland, Oregon.

Police released a brief statement about noon Friday, saying, “The mother of the missing children has been located, and we thank everyone who helped with information. We do not need need any additional tips.”

Authorities did not offer more details, including whether charges will be filed in the case.

U.N. observers see bodies of 92 dead in Syria massacre

Syria, More than 92 people, including 32 children younger than 10, were killed Friday by artillery tank shells in the Syrian village of Houla, a spokesman for the joint special envoy to Syria said Saturday.

United Nations observers went to Houla and viewed the bodies Saturday, a day after opposition activists reported a massacre there at the hands of the Syrian regime. The activists said entire families were killed.

Maj. Gen. Robert Mood, the head of the U.N. Supervision Mission in Syria, said the attacks happened overnight but that the circumstances that led to the deaths is unclear.

UAE, Britain explore cooperation

The UAE and Britain have explored avenues of joint cooperation, it was announced Saturday.

UAE Labour Minister and chairman of the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) Ghobash Saeed Ghobash and British Minister of State for Education and Skills John Hayes led the discussions for the respective sides.

Emirates to launch flights to Portugal

Emirates Airlines will launch a daily non-stop service to Lisbon in July, the only Middle East carrier to serve Portugal.

The service will start July 9. Portugal will be the airline’s 10th new route this year.

“I have only been in Lisbon for a short time, but I am really feeling a buzz about Emirates’ new flight, which will start in just over six weeks’ time,” said Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ executive vice president.

Pregnant woman dies after being hit by car in Delhi

A 28-year-old pregnant woman died Saturday after a speeding car hit her in south Delhi, police said.

The accident occurred outside the main gate of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) around 9.30 a.m.

The I-10 car hit Shanti as its driver lost his control while trying to save hitting a boy, said police.

Shanti, who was standing with her husband Manoj, was taken to AIIMS Trauma centre where she succumbed to her injuries.

Monkey delays Air China flight from New York

An escaped monkey in a plane’s cargo hold delayed a flight from New York’s JFK International Airport for nearly four hours, it was reported here on Saturday.

The animal managed to free itself from its crate inside the plane’s hold before takeoff.

The monkey was destined for China for medical research, Daily Mail reported.

The animal was one of 50 to 60 others caged inside the Air China Boeing 747 originally scheduled to leave at 4.50 pm

Passengers aboard the flight didn’t seem to be aware of the ensuing hunt below their floor.

Shah Rukh Khan pleads guilty in IPL match smoking case

Pleading guilty, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday, sought exemption from personal appearance in a court here in a case related to smoking in public at a stadium here during an IPL match and expressed willingness to pay fine.

Khan, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, was summoned by the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on a complaint that he was seen smoking on April 8 during a match between his team and Rajasthan Royals.

Khan’s counsel V R Bajva represented him in the ACJM court and pleaded guilty on his behalf.

Security further tightened in Hyderabad
