He wasn’t on his Odarpu Yatra but Jagan still behaved like he was amongst the public when he entered the Central Prison, Chanchalguda on Monday.

Cheerful and still smiling, Jagan folded his hands greeting the huge contingent of policemen and media persons at the jail. In the jail, he continued with the same demeanour, shaking hands with the jail staff and even enquiring about their well being.

Man murdered by co-worker

(Siasat News): A 35-year-old man was murdered by his co-worker following a quarrel. Both of them were under the influence of alcohol.

The deceased, A Sanjeeva Reddy, a worker at Rajdhani Hotel at Vanasthalipuram, was hit on his head with a heavy object by his co-worker Tirupathi while he was resting at his work place.

According to Vanasthalipuram police, Sanjeeva Reddy had a fight with his co-worker at his residence over a petty issue, but it was later resolved.

Husband kills pregnant wife for being ‘westernised’

A 37-year-old Indian migrant in Italy killed his pregnant wife because she loved wearing western clothes and he wanted to punish her for going against Indian traditions.

The Indian — whose name was given as Singhj Kulbir — told police in Piacenza city in northern Italy that he strangled to death his 27-year-old wife — named as Kaur Balwinde — before throwing her corpse in the Po river, the AKI news agency reported.

Grants for coaching schemes for Minorities

Ministry of Minorities Welfare, Govt. of India has invited applications from the coaching academies offering coaching to the students belonging to Minority communities.

The coaching academies should have at least 3 classrooms and office room covering an area of 2000 sq.ft. The academy should have 3 years coaching experience. Out of 300 students they should provide coaching to at least 20%- minority students.

Completed applications should reach the Dy, Secretary (SS) Room No. 1131 Parivaran Bhavan, 11th Floor, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110003 before 30th July 2012.

Minorities scholarship amount increased

The rates of state scholarship given to Minorities by the AP Minorities Finance Corporation have been enhanced. These rates will be applicable from the academic year 2012-13.

Hostel boarders will now get Rs. 9,620 instead of Rs. 5250. The boarders of students’ managed hostels will get Rs. 4,420 instead of Rs. 2,500. Day Scholars who study in colleges 5 km away from their residences will now get Rs. 4,290.

After SSC admissions in IIIT

Govt. of AP has established Six Institutes of Information Technology throughout the State. Rajiv Gandhi Knowledge Technology University manages all these institutes.

Admission is given to the students who have passed SSC they are admitted into six year integrated course of Information Technology.

Free admissions offered by Pioneer college

AP by elections – 25 candidates withdraw

AP by elections are scheduled to be held on 12th June in 18 Assembly constituencies and one parliamentary constituency. Yesterday was the last date of withdrawals of nominations.

25 candidates withdraw their nominations. In 18 constituencies 242 candidates are contesting. For Nellore Lok Sabha seat, 13 candidates are contesting.

Muslim Fury Over Syria Child Carnage

The slaughter of scores of Syrian civilians, including children, has sparked a storm of outrage from Muslims worldwide, amid calls for an urgent action to stop ongoing bloodshed in the pivotal Arab country.

“Those criminals disregarded the teachings of Islam which sanctify the safety and protection of human life and ban the killing or harming of any innocent people,” Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), said in a statement obtained by OnIslam.net.

Nigerian arrested for raping Manipur student in Bangalore

A Nigerian was arrested on Sunday for raping a Manipuri nursing student in Bangalore. Apparently, the accused was the boyfriend of the victim’s aunt.

The Bangalore Police arrested Prince John aka Johnson ( 31) and he was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.

“ The accused raped the victim on May 13 in Bangalore. He had threatened her with dire consequences if she went to the police. Later, the victim fled to Mumbai and lodged a complaint with the police there. The case was transferred to us and we arrested Prince John,” Bangalore rural SP D. Prakash, said.

Group II coaching by Siasat

Blast at Lanco Rajgopal resort near Hyderabad

Blast at Congress MP’s rCongress MP L. Rajagopal’s resort on the city’s outskirts was damaged in a bomb blast, police said Tuesday.

The incident took place Friday night but police disclosed this only Tuesday. There was no words as to why it was kept under wraps for three dayus.

Walls and windows of the resort near Madhapur were damaged in the gelatin stick blast. The attackers left behind pro-Telangana pamphlets.

The watchman said he woke up to a deafening blast.

Yemeni regime kills two in Taizz

Forces loyal to Yemeni dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh shelled the city during the late hours of Saturday.

Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters held a demonstration in Taizz on Sunday, calling for the downfall of the regime.

The protest in Taizz came as on Saturday after Yemeni Vice President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi announced February 21 as the date of presidential election in the country. This will be the first presidential election in Yemen since 2006.

The Yemeni vice president is expected to form a national unity government ahead of the election.

Dubai family hides jewellery in fall ceiling; AC mechanic steals it

A 28-year-old, AC mechanic allegedly stole jewellery that were hidden above the false ceiling of the bathroom by a flat tenant, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

Hamza Jameel, 32, Jordanian, teacher, testified that his mother arrived on a visit in January. She gave him her jewellery which worth about Dh60,000 and Dh500 cash to hide them to her.

“I put them in a sac and hidden them in the fall-ceiling of the bathroom.

As I turned home on January 23, my wife told me that technicians came and checked the filter of the AC of the central AC which is in the bathroom.

Clashes leave 21 dead in NW Pakistan

The offensive carried out in response to an earlier ambush by insurgents against a convoy of soldiers, also left at least two others injured in the Tasakhel area of upper Orakzai tribal region.

Security forces retaliated using artillery bombing.

The injured soldiers said to be in critical condition, have been taken to a local hospital.

Saudi scholar announces reward for Kill Syrian president and get $450,000

A prominent Saudi Islamic scholar has announced a reward of $450,000 for killing Syrian President Bashar Al Assad, who he branded a murderer.

Sheikh Ali Al Rubai said he would give the reward to any one who kills the Syrian leader following a massacre perpetrated by Assad’s loyalists in Houla neighbourhood in the central town of Homs this week. More than 100 civilians, including many children, were killed during the carnage.

UK anti-war campaigns to join strike

Stop the War Coalition and Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament announced that they would participate in November 30 strike action organized by Trade Union Congress (TUC) to call on the government to cut war and Trident not pensions.

NRHM scam: CBI to file chargesheet in CMOs murder

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will on Tuesday file chargesheet in connection with the murders of two Chief Medical Officers of Lucknow against two shooters and the person who hired them for killing the doctors.

All three accused will be charged with murder and criminal conspiracy.

In its first chargesheet in the sensation murders of two CMOs, the agency is also likely to name a former Health officer in the criminal conspiracy of the case, sources said.
