Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik planned to bomb US President Obama when he went to collect his Nobel Prize in 2009.

The right-wing terrorist who went on to kill 77 people in July last year had plotted to attack the Nobel award ceremony with a car bomb. Breivik (33) used a similar plan, when he attacked the centre of Oslo in July last year, exploding a car bomb near government buildings, before going on a shooting rampage at a youth camp on nearby Utoeya Island.

“Main kisko na bolun (Who could I say no to)? They`re all friends asking to be a part of `Housefull 2`. I`d love to have all the trailers. But if we allow them all, there will be more trailer-time than the feature film,” said Nadiadwala.

Breakpoint for Yeddy as he thinks beyond BJP

Giving a fillip to his frequent threats to break away from the BJP, rebel leader B. S. Yeddyurappa has floated a new party.

The party, christened, Kannada Makkala Paksha ( KMP), will give the beleaguered BJP high command a fresh cause for worry.

Yeddyurappa, the former Karnataka chief minister, is said to have floated the party through Ashok Kheny, managing director of the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises.

Saudi: Rise in suicide cases remain an unexplained phenomenon

Although there have not been any recent statistics on suicide rates in Saudi Arabia, a number of cases have been reported by the local media creating concern in society about why people are taking their own lives.

ATM custodian arrested

(Siasat News): Police arrested the ATM custodian who had fled with Rs. 15 lakh meant for loading in an ATM in Madhapur.

A resident of Indiranagar in Banjara Hills, the accused B Prabhakar, 27, was working with Write Safe Guard Agency. He went to Kachiguda and spent the night in a lodge and bought a cellphone for Rs. 20,000 and left for Vishakhapatnam.

Cops nabbed him and recovered cellphone and Rs. 14.5 lakh from him. Further investigations are on.

Two Indians drown in Australia

Two Indians drowned at a northern New South Wales beach in Australia while swimming with a group of friends.

The two men, aged 24 and 25, were swimming with friends at Belongil Beach, Byron Bay, when they got into difficulty on Sunday noon, Australian news agency APP reported on Tuesday.

Police said the men, who were not identified, were underwater for up to 10 minutes before they were taken ashore, where rescuers and paramedics tried in vain to revive them.

Khursheed sets world record in fastest typing

Hard work and perseverance lead to success. This saying has once again been proved by an old city youth, Mohammad Khursheed who resides at Talab Katta Hyderabad by registering his name in the Guiness Book of World Records.

Keying in the alphabet, along with spaces after each letter, Khursheed succeeded in typing the 50 characters in a record time of 3.43 seconds and thus broke the existing record of 3.52 seconds for the ‘Fastest time to type the alphabet’ by A Sudhakar Raju of Anantapur.
