TRS legislator K T Rama Rao has said that the demand for Rayala- Telangana was not of serious nature.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he said if the centre makes such a proposal, then TRS would think about Rayala-Telangana. He said their main demand was restoration of the areas that were merged in Andhra to create Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)

Andhra Pradesh High Court Services Committee is holding a mega Lok Adalat tomorrow in Krishna District Headquarters of Machilipatnam for settlement of cases pertaining to road accidents. Informing this at a press conference here today, district legal Cell Secretary P Mohan Rao said Lok Adalats, especially to resolve the road accident cases, are being held in various places in the state.
He said during the last five months, as many as 399 cases were settled benefiting 785 persons by disbursing Rs.8,95,57,968. He appealed to victims to get their cases settled at the Lok Adalat. UNI

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who Wednesday unveiled her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s specially designed brass statue, said he was biased towards her elder sister Karisma Kapoor.
“My grandfather Raj Kapoor was biased towards Karisma because both of them had blue eyes. I have green eyes as that of my father,” Kareena told reporters.
“During summer seasons he would give two mangoes to Karisma and I would end up getting just one. I had to work hard to please him,” she added.

Shah Rukh Khan Wednesday paid a visit to “RA.One” animator Charu Khandal at the Kokilaben Ambani hospital where she is battling for her life after an accident.
Actor-producer Shah Rukh Khan, who was busy shooting in London for Yash Raj’s next untitled film, landed here Tuesday. He came to visit Charu at the hospital and also met her family members.
He spent around 35 to 40 minutes in the hospital, but didn’t speak to the press waiting outside.
The CBI on Wednesday charged a police officer with abusing his official position when he was IG Police of West Zone, Coimbatore, and making his subordinates and accomplices extort Rs 2.85 crore, deposited by the public, from the Paazee Group of Companies.
The agency said investigation had revealed that Pramod Kumar, Inspector General of Police (Armed Police), had an active role in “orchestrating the extortion through his subordinate police officials and his accomplices.”
