The two ladies are apparently doing everything they can to look better than the other in their film Desi Boyz.

Interestingly, it was a hot pink dress that led to a fight between the two.

Apparently designer Ayesha Dasgupta had created a hot pink outfit for the film, which caught the eye of both the leading ladies.

Mumbai, October 28: Buzz is that Sunny Deol is planning to launch his son Karan, better known as Rocky, in Bollywood with Betaab 2. Over 28 years ago, Sunny had taken his first step in filmdom with Rahul Rawail’s Betaab with Amrita Singh as his co-star.

Says a source, “Sunny is keen to consolidate their home banner under which he wants to launch Rocky. Though still in the early stages, a lot of ideas have been tossed around. Sunny is contemplating a sequel to introduce his son to B-Town.”

What is even more remarkable is that the character is essayed by Arjun Rampal and not by the lead, Shah Rukh Khan. Instead, King Khan plays the positive character G.One.

The resurrection of the big Bollywood villain, who had become almost redundant over the last decade, seems like a welcome change.

Hyderabad, October 28: To encourage sale of Urdu books a gift coupon will be given on every purchase of books worth Rs. 100 in Urdu Kitab Mela organized by Anjuman Taraqqi-o-Baqae-e-Urdu.

Mr. Mustafa Baig president Anjuman told that on the conclusion of mela, casting of lots will take place for the coupons and the winners of the lot will get books as the gift.

She is here to perform as a part of F1 Grand Prix.

“I am finally here + what a dream come true. Performing at Formula 1 in INDIA, and my first day here I reached #15millionmonsters,” Gaga posted on micro-blogging site Twitter after reaching here Thursday.

“We`re not in NEW YORK anymore! This isn`t the #NewDeli, its #NewDelhi! We`ve come a long way since the lower east side. NAMASTE!” she further posted.

Jeddah, October 28: Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has appointed Interior Minister Prince Nayef as the new crown prince, the Royal Court said in a statement issued on Friday, signalling an orderly process of future succession in the world’s largest oil exporter.

“We chose His Royal Highness Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz as crown prince,” said the statement, read on state television and carried on the kingdom’s news agency SPA soon after midnight.

Riyadh, October 28: Israeli extremists have tabled a reward of $1 million (Dh3.67 million) for the murder of a Saudi preacher who offered a reward of $100,000 for the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers ten days ago.

Prominent preacher Shaikh Awad Al Qarni recently posted a message on his Facebook page offering a $100,000 reward to any Palestinian who kidnaps an Israeli soldier.

Israeli extremists responded by threatening to kill Al Qarni and offering a reward of $1 million to anyone who carried out the mission.

Hyderabad, October 28: There won’t be any EAMCET for admission into medical courses from next academic year because an all India eligibility test in English and Hindi alone will be conducted in future. State Govt. will issue a notification next week for not holding Entrance Test for medical course. It has been learnt from reliable sources that Medical Council of India has decided to hold an all India level Common Entrance Test for admission into M.B.B.S. course in the country. This test will be conducted only in English and Hindi.

Azamgarh, October 28: At least eight people were killed and 19 others injured, some of them critically, when an uncontrolled jeep mowed down people watching Ramlila in Koriya Bazar on Faizabad-Azamgarh highway last night. While six people died on the spot, two others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital, police sources said today. The incident occurred when the ill-fated jeep rammed into the crowd watching Ramlila on the side of the highway in Captainganj area. The injured have been admitted to the hospital where condition of five is stated to be critical.

Washington, October 28: The Pentagon has notified the US Congress about the possibility of a USD 1.2 billion deal with India for six more C-130J ‘Super Hercules’ heavy-lift aircraft in addition to six ordered for the same price in 2008.

India, the Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) told the US Congress, has requested a possible sale of 6 Lockheed Martin C-130J United States Air Force (USAF) baseline aircraft including associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support.

Madurai, October 28: In a security scare, explosives were found under a bridge on the route that was to be taken by senior BJP leader LK Advani in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu on Friday.

As per initial reports, two explosives in the form of pipe bombs were found hidden under a bridge in Tirumangalam, near to the spot where Advani was scheduled to address a rally.

The security personal recovered the explosives just 20 minutes before Advani was to pass through the route. Following the recovery, the yatra route was altered so as to avoid the stretch.

Bangalore, October 28: The Karnataka High Court on Friday will hear the bail plea of beleaguered former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, arrested for alleged corruption cases.

Yeddyurappa applied for bail on Oct 17, two days after he was arrested and sent to judicial custody by the Special Lokayukta (ombudsman) Court Judge NK Sudhindra Rao in two of the five corruption and illegal land deal cases against him.

Justice BV Pinto of the high court will resume hearing the arguments for and against bail for Yeddyurappa.

Hyderabad, October 28: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation will make elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of Eid-ul-Zuha, Bakrid festival to be celebrated on November 7.

GHMC Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy on Thursday convened a meeting with the senior officials to review the arrangements. As thousands of Muslims sacrifice animals on the Bakrid, Deputy Mayor Jaffer Hussain Meraj has asked the officials to take up the measures for prompt lifting of the animal waste.

Hyderabad, October 28: Congress MLAs from the Telangana region would meet on Friday to discuss and finalise the future course of action to achieve statehood for the region.

Talking to reporters after meeting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Assembly premises here on Thursday, Aliar MLA Bhikshamaiah said that the meeting would be held at Central Hall Court in Lakdi-ka-pul on Friday. He said the conference would discuss strategy to be adopted to take forward the statehood agitation forward and ways to mount pressure on the Congress High Command.

Hyderabad, October 28: Telangana Nagara Samithi president Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy convene an all-party meeting to discuss the awarding of multi-purpose Polavaram irrigation project in the wake of controversy surrounding it.

Talking to media persons, Nagam alleged that Chief Minister was involved in the final awarding of Rs 4,700 crore worth project works in violation of the rules and regulations. He demanded that Chief Minister give an explanation to the people of the region for his involvement in the awarding of contracts.

New Delhi, October 28: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Thursday unveiled her wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Blackpool, Britain.

“It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for the Indian cinema,” Kareena said in a statement.

It took four months to create the wax statue, which cost 150,000 pounds.

Washington, October 28: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a congressional panel on Thursday that any Afghan-led peace process would have to include the Quetta Shura and its leader Mulla Omar.

Her statement before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs also emphasised several other key points reflecting a major change in US approach towards seeking a peaceful end to the Afghan conflict. “There is no solution in the region without Pakistan and no stable future in the region without a partnership.”

New Delhi, October 28: 15 suicides take place every hour in India and a majority (69.2 per cent) of the suicide victims are married while 30.8 per cent un-married, according to latest government statistics.

One suicide out of every 5 is committed by a housewife, said the statistics released today in the form of a report.

“It is observed that social and economic causes have led most of the males to commit suicide whereas emotional and personal causes have mainly driven females to end their lives,” the report, released by Home Minister P Chidambaram, said.

Hong Kong, October 28: Talismanic Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi said Thursday the new chairman of the nation’s cricket board gave hope to the embattled cricket side and took a swipe at the “old man” he replaced.

Afridi came out of international retirement last week after banker Zaka Ashraf was appointed chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), replacing Ijaz Butt — a long-time rival of the former one-day captain.

Washington, October 28: The Obama administration is pressing Pakistan persistently to take action against LeT that is responsible for the Mumbai terror attack, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said today but refrained from committing to make this a part of the US scorecard on Pakistan, as sought by a Congressional committee.

Clinton said the US would continue to press Pakistan over its failure to bring to book those responsible for 26/11 but any move to link this action to aid needed consideration.
