Hyderabad, October 4: I want to abstain from vices. I have started this act to please Allah. I write a complete Hadeeth on the top of my auto in all languages. After one week I write another Hadeeth. This is being continued for long. Hyderabadi roads are such that one cannot pass on them speedily I drive auto slowly so that those who are passing by can read the text easily.

Shaikh Shaukat Ali is hale and hearty by the grace of Allah; he is also well mannered. He thanks Allah repeatedly during his speech. He is concerned over the society being on the verge of destruction day by day.

Hyderabad, October 04: Hundreds of people thronged the Haj House at Nampally here on Monday but an old man, dressed in brand new clothes, appeared the happiest of the lot. He had every reason to be as after waiting for a life time, he was going on Haj pilgrimage in a few hours.

Allauddin (75), who hails from Kurnool, sells sandalwood sticks outside a masjid and earns around Rs 50 a day. Though the sole aim in his life is to visit Mecca, he has been determined that he will not take anybody’s help, not even from his near and dear ones.

Hyderabad, October 04: The Congress High Command is believed to have decided that the situation in Andhra Pradesh might warrant President’s rule, because of the total paralyzation of the administration, due to the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme. Congress President Sonia Gandhi is worried about the state, which always stood by the party in its thick and thin.

New Delhi, October 04: India has approached Portugal’s Supreme Court challenging its High Court order which had terminated the extradition of underworld don Abu Salem for breach of agreement by India by slapping charges which attract death penalty.

India, in its appeal before the Portuguese Supreme Court, has said the interpretation of the High Court of the trial in various courts of the country was not correct.

Ralegan Siddhi, October 04: Though he has not done anything wrong, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should not shy away from “agni pariksha’(test by fire) in the 2G spectrum case, Anna Hazare said here today.

“The Prime Minister should face it. His name has come up. He should face the agnipariksha. If he comes out clean, it will only do good. Why should one fear that?” Hazare told a press conference here.

Hyderabad, October 4: During the past 15 days 9 persons lost their life for separate Telangana state. Of which 6 including Kareem ended their life and 3 persons died due to heart attack. Telangana is on boil as the general strike entered into the 22nd day. Earlier more than 600 youth and students had sacrificed their lives for Telangana.

Few days ago Kareem had committed suicide on railway track in Kamareddy. 29 year old Sattya Narayana consumed pesticide and committed suicide. 25 year old M Ram hanged himself to death.

Dead body recovered from drainage

Hyderabad, October 4 (Siasat News): Police Vanasthalipuram has recovered the dead body of an unknown person from a drainage who is said to be around 45 years of age.

Police said that the deceased was found with a black pant only on his body and there was no any evidence, which could provide his identification.

The dead body was found from Raja Rajeshwari’s colony of Chintalkunta. The dead body is shifted to the mortuary of a hospital. Police is further investigating.

Washington, October 04: As a new poll suggested that a majority of Americans expect him to be a one-term president, Barack Obama called himself an “underdog” with a faltering economy seriously impairing his chances of re-election in 2012.

“Absolutely,” he told ABC News Monday when asked about whether the odds were against him come November 2012, given the economy. “I’m used to being the underdog. But at the end of the day people are going to ask – who’s got a vision?”

New Delhi, October 04: The Rashtriya Ulama Council has strongly condemned the biased action of police during the communal riots in Rudrapur town of Uttarakhand and demanded the government to punish the guilty police officials who were involved in firing which killed four Muslims who were protesting against the desecration of Holy Quran on Oct. 2, 2011.

Patna, October 04: Civil groups have strongly condemned Monday’s police raid at the Jaipur house of eminent social activist and General Secretary of People’s Union For Civil Liberties, Kavita Srivastava. The raid was carried out by Chhattisgarh police in collaboration with the Rajasthan police on the false pretext of hiding some Maoists.

Hyderabad, October 04: Road transport between the Telangana and Andhra regions of Andhra Pradesh Tuesday came to a standstill with protestors, demanding a separate state of Telangana, blockading the national highway connecting the towns of Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

Hundreds of vehicles were stranded at several places in Nalgonda district as the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), spearheading the Telangana movement, began a 24-hour road blockade.

Hyderabad, October 4: The sacrifices of pro Telangana government employees who are participating in the general strike demanding speedy formation of separate Telangana state for 21 consecutive days will not go vain. Claimed Zaheeruddin Ali Khan while addressing the government employees participating in the general strike at BRK Bhawan.

He asserted that demand for separate Telangana is the democratic right of 4 crore people of Telangana region. He further said the central and state governments are totally ignoring the continuous strike and life sacrifices of hundreds of youth.

Masjid Taramati, Golconda Fort uninhabited
Hyderabad, October 4: There are 5 historical mosques which are uninhabited within the limits of Golconda fort including Masjid Taramati, which are under archeological survey of India. Historians have declared the Taramati mosque among those chosen mosques of India who are standing with all their splendour and grandeur even after centuries.

Mumbai, October 04: Single and eligible – Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor says he loves attention and adulation from his female fans.

“I feel very happy and glad about it. I like it (female attention), it`s nice,” Shahid told reporters.

The 30-year-old, who was earlier dating Kareena Kapoor and was rumoured to be in a relationship with Priyanka Chopra, admits he wasn`t always comfortable with compliments from the fairer sex.

“Initially I used to not know how to deal with it. I used to get flustered and didn`t know how to react to it. But now, I like it. It feels good.

New Delhi, October 04: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy Monday landed in trouble for his newspaper article, in which he suggested revoking of voting rights of Indian Muslims, with the Delhi Police filing a criminal case against him for spreading enmity between communities.

“We have registered a case under the relevant section of IPC. We are investigating the matter,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Chand, who heads the crime branch, told IANS.

Hyderabad, October 4: Pilgrims of Hajj 2012 will leave for Hajj from the proposed new Hajj house at Shamsabad. Chief minister N Kiran Kumar disclosed this while addressing the function on the occasion of flagging off the 6th batch of Hajj pilgrims. He told that the state government has sanctioned 12.5 crores for the construction of new Hajj house and 3 crore rupees have already been released.

Mumbai, October 04: Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is hale and hearty thanks to the surgery which happened at the right time. The star feels that the decision to go to the US for the surgery saved him, or he could have landed in coma.

Fans of the ‘Bodyguard’ must be relieved hearing this news as Salman could have been in Jagjit Singh’s situation, had he not taken his ailment seriously.

Hyderabad, October 04: A 21-year-old woman succumbed to the burn injuries that she sustained after setting herself ablaze following alleged harassment by her husband.

According to Miyapur police, the deceased Farheen Fatima was married to one Maqdoom Ali of Prem Nagar during May this year. However, Maqdoom started harassing her and even threatened to give divorce to her. Following his harassment, Farheen set herself on fire after pouring kerosene at her in-laws residence on September 16. She was later admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died in the wee hours of Monday.

Washington, October 04: Condemning the arrest of Gujarat IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt, Indian-Aemricans have demanded the Indian Government to conduct a full-scale investigation into the allegations made by him.

“The government’s alacrity in arresting Bhatt, stands in stark contrast to its criminal inaction against police officers who have been charged with complicity in the riots,” said Shaheen Khateeb, President of Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) in a statement.

Manama, October 04: A Muslim female doctor in the kingdom of Bahrain, who was sentenced to five years in prison for helping injured anti-government protestors, has claimed that she was dragged out of her house at midnight at gunpoint by about 30 plain-clothes police officers.

Dr Fatima Haji was quoted as saying that she was then taken blindfolded to a secret interrogation centre, before being tortured and repeatedly sexually assaulted until she signed documents confessing her ‘crimes’.

New Delhi, October 04: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao Monday said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh “did not give any promise” on a separate Telangana state and that their agitation for a separate state to be carved out of Andhra Pradesh would continue.

“The strike would continue till there is a roadmap for separate Telangana,” KCR, as the leader is popularly known, told reporters after meeting the prime minister in New Delhi.

The public agitation called by TRS to press for a Telangana state in Andhra Pradesh entered its 21st day Monday.
