Hyderabad, October 4: I want to abstain from vices. I have started this act to please Allah. I write a complete Hadeeth on the top of my auto in all languages. After one week I write another Hadeeth. This is being continued for long. Hyderabadi roads are such that one cannot pass on them speedily I drive auto slowly so that those who are passing by can read the text easily.

Allauddin (75), who hails from Kurnool, sells sandalwood sticks outside a masjid and earns around Rs 50 a day. Though the sole aim in his life is to visit Mecca, he has been determined that he will not take anybody’s help, not even from his near and dear ones.

Abu Salem’s extradition: India moves Portugal’s SC

New Delhi, October 04: India has approached Portugal’s Supreme Court challenging its High Court order which had terminated the extradition of underworld don Abu Salem for breach of agreement by India by slapping charges which attract death penalty.

India, in its appeal before the Portuguese Supreme Court, has said the interpretation of the High Court of the trial in various courts of the country was not correct.

PM Should Face ‘Agnipariksha’ On 2G: Hazare

Ralegan Siddhi, October 04: Though he has not done anything wrong, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should not shy away from “agni pariksha’(test by fire) in the 2G spectrum case, Anna Hazare said here today.

“The Prime Minister should face it. His name has come up. He should face the agnipariksha. If he comes out clean, it will only do good. Why should one fear that?” Hazare told a press conference here.

9 deaths for T during past 15 days

Hyderabad, October 4: During the past 15 days 9 persons lost their life for separate Telangana state. Of which 6 including Kareem ended their life and 3 persons died due to heart attack. Telangana is on boil as the general strike entered into the 22nd day. Earlier more than 600 youth and students had sacrificed their lives for Telangana.

Few days ago Kareem had committed suicide on railway track in Kamareddy. 29 year old Sattya Narayana consumed pesticide and committed suicide. 25 year old M Ram hanged himself to death.

Dead body recovered from drainage

Hyderabad, October 4 (Siasat News): Police Vanasthalipuram has recovered the dead body of an unknown person from a drainage who is said to be around 45 years of age.

Police said that the deceased was found with a black pant only on his body and there was no any evidence, which could provide his identification.

The dead body was found from Raja Rajeshwari’s colony of Chintalkunta. The dead body is shifted to the mortuary of a hospital. Police is further investigating.

FIR against Subramanian Swamy

New Delhi, October 04: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy Monday landed in trouble for his newspaper article, in which he suggested revoking of voting rights of Indian Muslims, with the Delhi Police filing a criminal case against him for spreading enmity between communities.

12.5 crore sanctioned for permanent Hajj house at Shamsabad

Housewife succumbs to burns

Hyderabad, October 04: A 21-year-old woman succumbed to the burn injuries that she sustained after setting herself ablaze following alleged harassment by her husband.

According to Miyapur police, the deceased Farheen Fatima was married to one Maqdoom Ali of Prem Nagar during May this year. However, Maqdoom started harassing her and even threatened to give divorce to her. Following his harassment, Farheen set herself on fire after pouring kerosene at her in-laws residence on September 16. She was later admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died in the wee hours of Monday.

Lady doctor sexually assaulted by police

Manama, October 04: A Muslim female doctor in the kingdom of Bahrain, who was sentenced to five years in prison for helping injured anti-government protestors, has claimed that she was dragged out of her house at midnight at gunpoint by about 30 plain-clothes police officers.

Dr Fatima Haji was quoted as saying that she was then taken blindfolded to a secret interrogation centre, before being tortured and repeatedly sexually assaulted until she signed documents confessing her ‘crimes’.

No promise from PM, Telangana agitation to go on: TRS

New Delhi, October 04: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao Monday said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh “did not give any promise” on a separate Telangana state and that their agitation for a separate state to be carved out of Andhra Pradesh would continue.

“The strike would continue till there is a roadmap for separate Telangana,” KCR, as the leader is popularly known, told reporters after meeting the prime minister in New Delhi.

The public agitation called by TRS to press for a Telangana state in Andhra Pradesh entered its 21st day Monday.
