Husband caught between two wives, one commits suicide

Hyderabad, September 6: Second wife committed suicide after a row over buying dresses for first wife’s children. The incident occurred at Raedurgam police station limits where 35 year old Vekateshwaramma alias Razia Begum hanged herself to death yesterday night. According to police sources Razia Begum, wife of Mohammad, resident of Gachibowli, hanged herself to death after a row with her husband. It is said that Razia Begum who was the second wife of Mohammad had been living with him for the past 15 years.

Girl’s body recovered at Falaknuma

Hyderabad, September 6: Falaknuma police recovered a dead body of a girl which was found in a well at Madan Khan Mulgi area. Inspector Falakuma told this. He said 16 year old Mairaj who was a beggar had left her house on September 3 and her body was recovered from a well yesterday. Mairaj a beggar was a habitual drinker. She had gone for begging on September 3 to Charminar from Falaknuma, when she returned she was heavily drunk. Her mother scolded her for that. It is believed that distraught by her mother’s scolding Mairaj might have committed suicide.

New Delhi, September 06: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Tuesday slammed WikiLeaks after it claimed, citing her top aide Satish Chandra Mishra, that she was a person with a “penchant for personal corruption” and “a strong authoritarian streak.

Addressing a press conference, BSP chief Mayawati said, “The claims made by the WikiLeaks are baseless, unfounded and have malicious intent. The media coverage by the website reflects its anti-Dalit mentality.”

SMS saves Saudi woman from rape

Riyadh, September 06: Saudi Arabia’s religious police seized an Egyptian man who kidnapped and raped a local girl after she texted her friend’s mobile telling her where she had been held, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The man, 28, had known the 24-year-old Saudi girl through Facebook and persuaded her that he intends to marry her after forging Saudi identity for himself and sending it to her e mail, Sabq Arabic language daily said.

The unnamed man, who lives in the western port of Yanbu, also fooled the girl into transferring SR125,000 ($33,000) to his bank account.

One example of that is the 120 year old Qutub Shahi style fountain located near government maternity hospital at Nayapul. US wanted Pranab as defence minister, not Antony

The US believes Antony goes very slow in signing key bilateral military deals and also on other matters.

Water released from Nagarjuna Sagar

Hyderabad, September 6: All 26 crest gates of Nagarjuna Sagar damn have been lifted on Monday and the excess water has been released.

The water was formally released in the presence of state ministers Sudarshan Reddy, Jana Reddy and Venkat Reddy.

It is said that huge inflows received by the dam had necessitated the release of water hence 26 gates have been lifted.

Indiramma pension scheme is causing inconvenience.

Hyderabad, September 06: Govt. has introduced pension scheme for the poor but to get the meager amount of Rs. 200/- the beneficiaries are put to inconvenience. Mr Mohammed (72) of Chandulal Baradari was asked to come to pension office thrice on various dates to get his pension. He told that when Govt. officials come to the houses to collect taxes but can’t they deliver the pension amount at the residence of the beneficiaries.

The Govt. should make arrangements for delivering the pension amounts to the houses of the beneficiaries in order to save from the inconvenience.

Gold futures hit fresh peak of Rs 29,091 on global cues

New Delhi, September 06: Gold futures climbed to a fresh high of Rs 29,091 per 10 grams Tuesday, tracking a firming trend overseas as concerns about slowing economic growth and Europe’s debt crisis spurred demand for the precious metal as a safe haven investment.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month February shot up by Rs 156, or 0.50 percent, to Rs 29,091 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of six lots.

The metal for delivery in October also rose by Rs 88, or 0.26 percent, to Rs 28,573 per 10 grams in 1,934 lots.
