Maximum post vacant in Dept. of Education

Hyderabad, September 14: (Siasat News) It has been received that the maximum number of posts in the Department of Education are vacant. It has as many as 27,379 vacancies. Home Dept. has 20,122, Dept. of Energy 12,244, Health 10,306, Panchayathraj 3,100, Engineering 3,000 Excise 2,000 and in other departments there are 29,509 vacant posts. All the vacant posts put together, the number of vacancies works out to 101,16,000.

Relatives blame doctors’ negligence for man’s death

Hyderabad, September 14: A 35-year-old man, Santosh, died allegedly due to the negligence of doctors at the ESI Hospital on Tuesday morning.

According to Sanjeev Reddy Nagar police, Santosh, an employee of a private firm, approached the ESI Hospital on Sunday complaining of chest pain. After primary check up, he left for his house. However, he developed severe pain in the evening and was admitted at the ESI Hospital. He died on Tuesday morning.

TDP’s T MLAs to intensify agitation

Hyderabad, September 14: Telugu Desam Party Telangana Forum on Tuesday decided to intensify the agitation for separate Telangana statehood by organizing a series of protests in the region.

In a meeting held at at NTR Trust Bhavan on Tuesday evening, the Forum took unanimous decision to organise a series of programmes aimed at achieving the Telangana state. Later, Dayakar Rao told reporters that Forum has also decided to celebrate September 17 as the ‘Telangana Liberation Day’ at a large scale by hoisting flags.

9/11 paved way for Arab Spring: Al Qaeda chief

Cairo, September 14: In a message today marking the September 11 anniversary, al Qaeda’s new leader sought to claim credit for this year’s Arab uprisings, saying the 2001 attacks on the United States paved the way for the “Arab volcano” sweeping the region a decade later.

Ayman al-Zawahri and other al Qaeda figures have issued a number of messages seeking to associate themselves with the Arab uprisings that toppled autocratic leaders in his native Egypt, as well as Tunisia and Libya, and which threaten others.

Washington, September 14: The recent developments have shown that militant Hindu nationalist groups are intent on launching domestic terrorist attacks, a US Congressional report has said.

“Even more recent are overt signs that India is home to militant Hindu nationalist groups intent on launching domestic terrorist attacks. In September 2008, seven people were killed by two bomb blasts in Maharashtra’s Malegaon, a hotbed of Hindu-Muslim communal strife,” said Congressional Research Service (CRS) in its latest report on India.

Lashkar’s face in Valley killed in Sopore encounter

Srinagar, September 14: Top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Abdullah Ooni, one of the Valley’s most wanted militants with a bounty of Rs 20 lakh on his head, was killed in an encounter in Sopore today, police said.

Ooni, 27, was the face of the Lashkar in Kashmir, and had been instrumental in galvanising cadres of the militant organisation in Sopore town. He was an IED expert, officials said, and a master of disguise who had escaped the police dragnet at least a dozen times over the past few years.

London, September 14: A teacher has been banned for three months after sending sex-related text messages to one pupil and trying to kiss another. Emma Walpole, 28, had accepted lifts from three of her year 13 pupils — aged 17 or 18 — and made sexually provocative comments to one during the journey. She invited another into her home where she tried to give him alcohol and kiss him.

Teacher who sent sex-texts to 14-year-old boy faces jail

London, September 14: Kathryn Roach, 24, must sign the sex offenders’ register after admitting she exchanged a number of messages with the boy between March and April last year

The wording of the messages or how many were sent has not been revealed. The high school in Bolton, Greater Manchester, where Roach taught and the boy cannot be identified for legal reasons.

Roach pleaded guilty to a single charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity by a person in a position of trust.

Political stunt, should say sorry: Congress

New Delhi, September 14: Terming Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s plan for a three-day fast for peace and harmony as “gimmickry”, the Congress on Tuesday said that he should instead offer an apology for 2002 riots.

“It is genuine contrition which matters and which should be reflected in a profound and comprehensive apology which alone can be a starting point of genuine empathy. Otherwise the country cannot be fooled by gimmickry,” Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters in New Delhi.

Gadkari undergoes surgery

New Delhi, September 14: BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday underwent a gastric bypass surgery for treatment of Type II diabetes at Saifi Hospital in Mumbai.

Gadkari (54) is a known diabetic and had poor control of his sugar levels with early diabetic nephropathy despite currently available medical management, according to Mufazzal Lakdawala, surgeon at the Saifi Hospital, who conducted the surgery.

His sugar levels were not under control for quite some time, he said.

US hikers to be freed soon: Ahmadinejad

Tehran, September 14: Iran will soon free two Americans jailed for spying, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday, in what he called a humanitarian gesture weeks before he travels to the United Nations in New York.

“I think these two persons will be freed in a couple of days,” the Iranian leader said through an interpreter in an interview broadcast on NBC’s “Today” show. “We do it, for example, in a humanitarian gesture.”

Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal were sentenced in Iran last month to eight years in prison.

MP Govt. releases 1st installment of Rs. 30 cr. for Simhast at Ujjain

Bhopal, September 14 (Pervez Bari): The Madhya Pradesh Government has released the first installment of Rs. 30 crore for various works to be undertaken to Simhast to be held in 2016 at Jyotirlinga pilgrimage-Ujjain.

The formal announcement about sanction of the installment was made by Urban Administration and Development Minister Mr. Babulal Gaur at a review meeting in this connection at Ujjain on Monday. On the occasion, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Mr. Paras Chandra Jain issued instructions for completing some main roads of Ujjain city soon on priority basis.
