Telangana paralysed

Hyderabad, September 14: Slogans, protests, rallies and rasta rokos marked the first day of Sakala Janula Samme launched across Telangana region on Tuesday in support of separate statehood. The government employees staged protest demonstrations at their respective offices, while political parties along with students, advocates, and other people’s organisations came on to the roads.

Raising slogans in support of Telangana, they held sit-ins and other forms of protest.

No Akshay in MasterChef India 2

Mumbai, September 14: Chef Vikas Khanna has replaced actor Akshay Kumar as a judge for the second season of the reality show MasterChef India.

Star Plus, which will air the culinary show shortly, has announced that the show will be hosted and judged by renowned Indian Chef Vikas Khanna.

The second season titled as `Ab Badlo India Apne Khaane ka Andaaz` envisages to bring a shift in the conventional paradigm regarding the Indian palate, especially the way food has been cooked and served in the country.

The first season of the show was hosted and judged by Akshay.

Shah Rukh pays tribute to Rajinikanth!

Mumbai, September 14: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth might not be a regular feature in Bollywood, but he seems to have influenced one and all in Tinsel Town. The veteran actor, whose sci-fi bi-lingual film `Robot` broke a number of records at the Box Office, has inspired the Badshah of B-Town, Shah Rukh Khan.

However, SRK has categorically denied that his upcoming superhero flick `RA.One` is similar to Rajini’s `Robot`. But he has said that the film is a tribute to the legendary actor.

Yusuf Pathan sizzles as KKR win practice match

Hyderabad, September 14: A quick-fire half-century by all-rounder Yusuf Pathan helped Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) by five wickets in a practice match ahead of the IPL franchisee’s Champions League qualifying engagements.

KKR chased a target of 131 runs in 15.2 overs with Pathan, who hit four sixes and three fours, smashing 53 in 38 balls.

Delhi all-rounder Rajat Bhatia too made a useful contribution, scoring 41 off just 29 balls with the help of six fours.

Dharna against the construction of Wakf Land in front of Dargah Hakeem Shah Baba

Branch led the agitation and Dharna programme against the Municipal authorities for constructing a road in front of Dargah Hazrath Hakeem Shah Baba behind Apollo hospital in Jubilee Hills area. Dharna was staged in front of the office of the Director, Archaeology at Gunfoundry. He demanded that the work relating to the construction of a road should be stopped immediately as it is being done in connivance with the land grabbers.

His brother Mr. Sreedhar made an investment of 52 crore in the two firms floated by Mr. Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. In Jagathi publications Rs. 31 crore were invested whereas Rs. 21 crore were invested in Sandur Power company.

Man lured mom with liquor, raped daughter

Mumbai, September 14: Sexual predators often come up with some of the most innovative ideas and methods to satisfy their inner monster.

One such monster, identified as Ram Rajesh Verma, has been arrested by the Borivli police on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl over a period of four months.

According to the police, Verma (28), a manager in a catering firm, would buy a bottle of liquor for the victim’s mother every night, who was his neighbour.

Military personnel commits suicide

Hyderabad, September 14: A military personnel hanged himself to death at Bolaram military quarters. According to Bolaram police sources 26 year old Rajesh Kandokoori hanged himself to death on September 12 at Bolaram military quarters. However reasons behind the suicide are not yet known. Rajesh was said to be the soldier of 17 field military company engineers regiment who belonged to Godavari Khani Kareemnagar.

The police, shocked by the messages, initially did not know how to address the issue, but have now decided to register a criminal case against the netizen who used unparliamentary languages against them. Seven dead as Taliban target US embassy

Kabul, September 14: Teams of insurgents firing rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons struck at the US Embassy, NATO headquarters and other buildings in the heart of the Afghan capital Tuesday, raising fresh doubts about the Afghans’ ability to secure their nation as US and other foreign troops begin to withdraw.

Seven Afghans were killed and 15 wounded in the coordinated daylight attack, which sent foreigners dashing for cover and terrified the city from midday well into the night as US helicopters buzzed overhead. No embassy or NATO staff members were hurt.
