Hope, anguish, sorrow mark resignation drama
New Delhi, July 6: In a pre-scripted drama, 10 Congress MPs on Monday resigned to their posts to exert pressure on the UPA government to take an early decision on Telangana State.
The resignation episode had all elements of a drama – placating the needy, pleading with the powerful, anguish, sorrow, sympathy and last but not last, hope.
Though the seven MPs had an appointment with Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar at 11 a.m. to submit their resignations, all of them arrived almost half-an-hour late.
