God did not create the universe

London, September 03: God didn’t create the universe it was actually a result of the inevitable laws of physics, British physicist Prof Stephen Hawking has concluded.

In his latest book, The Grand Design, Hawking said: “Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there’s something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.”

In his new book, he has rejected Sir Isaac Newton’s theory that the universe did not spontaneously begin to form but was set in motion by God.

Sadhvi Pragya being shifted to Mumbai

Mumbai, September 03: Prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, developed chest pain while being taken to Mumbai on Thursday, sources said.

She was being shifted from Nashik Ayurvedic Hospital to JJ Hospital in Mumbai following a court order. However, she developed chest pain after starting for Mumbai at around 1.30 pm, her lawyer Umesh Walzade told PTI.

Sallu bails Boney out again

Section 144 in force over APPSC exams

Hyderabad, September 03: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Prabhakar Reddy on Thursday said that Section 144 will be in force in and around the 1 km of the examination centres in which the APPSC Group-1 Preliminary Examinations.

Meanwhile, confusion remains over the holding of the APPSC Group-1 preliminary exams.

Pro-Telangana activists have been pressing for the postponement of the exams seeking a clarification over the quota in jobs for those who pass the test. On the other hand, the APPSC Board has been vehement in its decision to conduct the exams on the earlier announced schedule.

5 year cut off date for students to pass Intermediate

Hyderabad, September 03: The Board of Intermediate Education on Thursday announced a block-period of five years to complete the Intermediate Course.

Accordingly, students will have five years from the year of admission to pass the Intermediate Public Examinations.

According to the BIE, the last chance to compete the course was IPE March 2010 and IPASE June 2010 for those candidates who were admitted into I year Intermediate in 2005-06 and earlier.

Palestinian armed groups vow to attack Israeli targets

Gaza, September 03: Over a dozen Palestinian militant groups Thursday pledged to step up joint and separate attacks on Israeli targets to foil Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations in Washington.

‘The factions agreed that all means are open to the Palestinian resistance to deal with Israel in the coming phase,’ Abu Obaida, spokesman of the Hamas armed wing, read a statement of the Gaza-based groups in a press conference held in the Gaza Strip.

BJP: Sonia should give post to someone outside Gandhi family

3 tainted Pak cricketers suspended by ICC
