BJP protest against 1975 emergency during Indira Gandhi’s rule
The state BJP workers today organised a protest rally against the emergency imposed by former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi in 1975 and called it the “black day in country’s history”.
Hundreds of BJP workers led by senior party leader Bhanwar Lal Sharma today organised a protest rally beginning from Ramniwas Bag at New Gate, police said.
“It was a misrule of Congress party when Gandhi had imposed emergency and put people and political leaders inside jail,” Panchariya said while addressing the gathering.
“It was the black day in the history of the country,” he added.
