An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself ablaze in Kanchanbagh police limits.
The deceased, Sana Fatima, resorted to the extreme step on June 23 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday. She had love marriage with one Md Khursheed, an auto-driver, about eight months. Khursheed had an argument with his wife when she met her mother on June 23. Upset with the behaviour of her husband, she resorted to the extreme step. Police have registered a case under Section 306 against Khursheed for abetting Sana to suicide.
A 23-year-old youth died of injuries which he sustained when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a car.
The deceased, Y Raju, a student, met with the accident near his residence in Gatkesar on Friday evening. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died on Saturday, according to Ghatkesar police. (INN)
A 38-year-old labourer died falling into a water sump in Chanda Nagar police limits.
The deceased, A Raju, was cleaning the water sump at a house near his residence in Papireddy Nagar on Friday. He accidentally fell into the sump and was drowned. (INN)
A 17-year-old girl committed suicide following her failure to clear the intermediate supplementary exams.
The deceased, V Rashmi, resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Pet Basheerabad on Friday night. She was upset as she could not clear her intermediate supplementary exams, whose results were announced on Friday morning.

Kuwait today identified the suicide bomber behind an attack on a Shiite mosque as a Saudi national, after a series of arrests in connection with the blast that left 26 dead.

Talks between Iran and major powers on finalising a historic nuclear deal will go beyond the June 30 deadline, a spokesman for the Iranian delegation in talks in Vienna said today.

Twenty six people died today of high temperatures in Pakistan’s Karachi, taking the death toll to around 1,300 as residents grappled with the week-long heatwave that has crippled life and overwhelmed the healthcare system.

Ganta informed that the 44.20% candidates have cleared the intermediate second year supplementary examinations. While the pass percentage of girls was 45.43%, it was 43.37% for boys. He said that the cumulative pass percentage of regular and supplementary candidates has increased to 84.95%. The candidates can apply for re-correction till July 6.
