AP CM sanctions Rs 2.5 Cr for mosques

With the holy month of Ramadan beginning from June 19th, the Andhra Pradesh government has allotted Rs 2.5 crore for the renovation and upgradation of existing mosques, run by the government and the Wakf Board. This amount will also be utilized to provide adequate arrangements for people who perform special prayers.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has extended Ramadan greetings to the Muslim community. He wished that the Muslim community continues to be happy, healthy and prosperous and also vowed to take care of the welfare of the minorities in the state.

Suicide cases: 3 person committed in different incidents

A 58-year-old man committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison.

According to Saifabad police, the deceased, Sadanand, a retired RTC driver, took the extreme step at his residence in Chintal Basti on Wednesday. He was immediately rushed to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science (NIMS) where he died a few hours after admission.

Mufti Mohammed Masood of Madarsa-e-Sabeel-Us-Salaam will give Dars (explanation) of verses being recited in the Taraveeh Prayers, which will be held after Isha Prayers at 8.30 PM. KTR meets Union Ministers, seek funds for Water Grid

Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao called on different Union Ministers at New Delhi on Thursday and sought special funds for the Water Grid project.

KTR met HUDCO Chairman Ravikanth and apprised him about the Water Grid project. He said drinking water would be provided to all households across Telangana State in the next four years. He urged the HUDCO chief to sanction Rs. 25,000 Crore loan for the project.

About 10 days ago, she returned to her parents’ house and committed suicide last night.

Two killed in train accidents in Hyderabad

A 36-year-old man died on the spot after falling down from a running train.

According to Kachiguda Railway Police, the deceased, S Narasing Rao, fell down from a running train near Kachiguda Railway Station on Tuesday evening and died instantaneously. He was an electrician and resident of Pochamma Basti.

In a different case, an unidentified man of about 50 years died after he was hit by a train between Vidya Nagar and Kachiguda Railway Stations on Tuesday night. The body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and identification. (INN)

36yr old Labourer electrocuted to death

A 36-year-old labourer was electrocuted to death while repairing a water sump in Langar House police limits.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening. While carrying out some repairs in the water sump at the house of one Dharam Singh, the victim, B Jangaiah, came in contact with a live electric wire. He died on the spot. He was a resident of Sai Nagar near Attapur, police said. (INN)

ACB releases Narender Reddy on medical grounds

In a major development, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday evening released TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy after questioning for nearly six hours in the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.

Narender Reddy was the TDP candidate for MLC elections held on June 1. He was arrested on the charges of trying to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in his favour. The ACB already arrested TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and two others, Rudra Udaysimha and Harry Sebastian, in the case on May 31.

GHMC team visits Nagpur to learn garbage disposal techniques

A team of Telangana legislators and officials, led by Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, visited Rajiv Nagar and several others areas of the Nagpur on Wednesday and observed the door-to-door garbage collection.

KCR Govt will collapse if phone tapping evidence is released: Atchan Naidu

Labour Minister K Atchan Naidu on Tuesday claimed that the TRS Government of Telangana would collapse if the Andhra Pradesh Government releases the evidences of phone tapping

Speaking to media persons here, Atchan Naidu said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao could not escape from ‘phone tapping’ case as the AP Government has sufficient evidences to prove its allegations. However, he did not specify when the AP Government proposes to release those evidences or take further action.
