Naidu asks Rahul Gandhi to do his homework
Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday criticised Rahul Gandhi for alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking economic lessons from his predecessor Dr. Manmohan Singh and said the Congress vice president must check his facts before speaking.
Naidu said despite economic intellectuals being part of the former UPA regime the growth rate had drastically come down.
“Growth was 8.4 percent during Vajpayee ji’s regime, intellectuals like Manmohan ji, Montek Singh [Ahluwalia] ji and Chidamabaram ji brought it down successfully to 4.8 percent,” he said.
