ISI chief arrives in US to hold talks with Petraeus

Pakistan’s ISI chief Lt Gen Zaheer-ul-Islam on Wednesday arrived in Washington on his maiden visit to the US as the spy agency head to hold crucial talks with his CIA counterpart Gen (rtd) David Petraeus. Islam is scheduled to hold his first official meeting with Petraeus later on Wednesday.

Islam is expected to raise the issue of opposition of continued drone strikes by the US in the tribal areas of the country, and the recent increasing incidents of alleged crossing over of terrorist based in Afghanistan.

It was test-fired from Launch Complex-3 at 10.30 am.

Defence sources said the cruise missile was test-fired from a ground mobile launcher from the launch complex-3 at about 10.30 a.m. and all data is being retrieved for analysis.

ITR director M.V.K.V. Prasad said that the missile was tested successfully meeting all mission objectives.

The 8.4 meter-long missiles are capable of flying at 2.8 times the speed of sound.

Common fee for category A convenor quota seats for all the 700 colleges:College Managements

(Siasat News)K.V.K. Rao, general secretary, Consortium of Private Engineering and Professional College Managements’ Association said we want a common fee structure for all the colleges.

This issue arises when Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha made a statement that the government is ready for fee hike ranging from 40 to 150 percent for 135 Engineering Colleges who submitted financial statements.

But Rao said that they want common fee for the category A convenor quota seat.

Girl Molested on the beach by four men

(Siasat News)Four men tried to rape a girl when they saw her with her boyfriend on the beach in Srikakulam on Saturday.

Four men first took the video of the couple in compromising position on the beach on the cell phone then tried to rape her.

They first tied her boyfriend to the tree, then tried to rap her, but the girl tried and ran towards village where she ask for help and villagers help her.

Villager went along with her to the beach and found one villager, K. Ravi Kumar, 24, who had a history of attacking visitors on the beach.
