An office has found an adorable and unique way to relieve their stressed out workers. Borrow a fluffy little kitten from their parlour.

All the kittens are put in a huge condo by a local animal shelter in the lobby of a local government building, and the employees could pick one and spend time them for an hour, the Daily Star has reported.

Previous researches had found that owning a cat could cut risk of heart attacks and strokes by over 1/3rd.

A government worker said that the kitten library has been there for almost a year and over 100 cats and kittens have been adopted.

Methane may power future manned mission spacecraft to Mars

Scientists are planning to develop new next-generation rocket engines that will help getting mass to Mars and Moon.

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has been awarded a 5 million dollars grant from NASA to develop rocket engines using liquid methane. The methane-based rocket technology would be used for in-space propulsion and ascent and descent engines for Mars and lunar landers.

Professor and Chair of Mechanical Engineering Ahsan Choudhuri said that liquid methane, a new form of green propellant, was a promising fuel for spacecraft.

CIA director claims battle against IS will be ‘a long fight’

CIA Director John Brennan has claimed that the battle against the Islamic State (IS) will require both political

and military solution, and added that it will be “a long fight”.

According to CBS News, Brennan said he believes it will not be resolved anytime soon.

He warned that there will be “a lot of bloodshed between now and then”, but assured that they will turn back the IS.

Brennan claimed that US intelligence had been taken aback by the IS’ strength and that they saw it growing.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Monday condemned the move of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA A. Revanth Reddy for attempting to bribe a nominated member of the state assembly.

“Strongly condemn TDP and its MLA trying to bribe a MLA in MLC elections in Telangana,” Singh tweeted.

South China Sea: Carter says US will play ‘pivotal’ role in Asia

United States Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has asserted that the country will continue to play a “pivotal” role in Asia in the future, a day after Beijing warned Washington against meddling in the “disputed” South China Sea.

The BBC quoted Carter, as saying that the U.S. was not looking to militarise the situation, but “nothing” would stop it from flying, sailing in the Pacific, as it always has. He added that the U.S. could ensure peace and prosperity in the region and that is the only way “everyone gets to rise and win.”

Indian cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman have agreed to join the newly constituted advisory committee of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Anurag Thakur , BCCI secretary, tweeted that former Indian players Ganguly, Tendulkar and Laxman would form the all-important committee that would advise the Indian Cricket Board.

According to reports, the trio would give suggestions on the domestic scenario in India and would also advice on the decision on the appointment of the new coach for the Indian cricket team.

The exhibition titled ‘Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore: A Visionary, Artist and Poet’, was organised by Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and Tripura Government Museum. India is exporting medicines to Afghanistan at a cost much lower than the pharmaceutical products of western nations to tap the healthcare market in the war-torn country.

Currently, 96 per cent of Afghanistan’s pharmaceutical needs are met from overseas imports with a large part of it coming from India.

Contador eyes France post lifting second Giro title in Milan

Alberto Contador won his second Giro d’Italia title and would now try to win the Tour de France to become the first man since 1998 to win both titles in the same year.

The Spaniard, who rides for Tinkoff-Saxo, won the Giro by a minute and 53 seconds from Italy’s Fabio Aru, 24, who rides for Astana.

Jubilant with the victory, Contador said that it had been a very beautiful experience for him, the BBC reports.

J. P. Rajkhowa sworn in as Arunachal Pradesh Governor

Former IAS officer Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa was sworn in as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.

Appointed on May 12, the 1968-batch officer has served as the chief secretary of Assam before his superannuation from service.

Rajkhowa will take over from his duties from Lt. Gen Nirbhay Sharma, who has been shifted to Mizoram. (ANI)

Rajya Sabha Independent MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Monday on the NDA Government at the Centre to pursue the Captain Saurabh Kalia case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which is located in The Hague.
