Robin Thicke’s former wife Paula Patton is all set to join Adam Sandler and David Spade in Netflix’s comedy flick ‘The Do Over’.

The Steve Brill directed comedy movie will be about two down-on-their-luck guys who decide to fake their own deaths and start over with new identities, only to find the people they’re pretending to be are in even deeper trouble, Deadline.com has reported.

The movie will be scripted by Chris Pappas and Kevin Barnett and will get on field in Savannah, GA, in July. (ANI)

Panel report on Net neutrality to be made public in few days

The telecom department panel that was set up to look into the Net neutrality issue has submitted its report to Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and the report will be made public in a few days.

“Yes, they (the panel) have submitted the report to me.

In few days time, the report will be put on the website, you can see and access it. I have asked the Secretary to send a copy to TRAI, so that they can also have a look at it,” Prasad said at the press meet marking a year of the Modi government.

Interest rate sensitive stocks dip post RBI policy

Interest-rate sensitive realty, banking and auto stocks witnessed heavy selling pressure on Tuesday, falling up to 8%, after the RBI hinted that there may not be any more cuts in the near-term.

Among realty scrips, Prestige Estates Projects slumped 8.11%, Indiabulls Real Estate dipped 6.53%, Godrej Properties (5.08%), DLF (4.31%), Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd (4.23%) on the BSE.

The BSE realty index fell by 3.83% to settle at 1,502.52.

Coal scam: Special court to consider CBI’s final report on July 2

A special court on Tuesday fixed July 2 to consider CBI’s final report on its further probe in a coal scam case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the allocation of a Madhya Pradesh coal block to Kamal Sponge Steel and Power Ltd (KSSPL).

Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar said he would also consider the issue of grant of according sanction to try two public servants in the case which was still pending before the competent authority for alleged offence under Prevention of Corruption Act.

Power Grid plans to invest Rs 22,500 crore in FY16

State-run transmission utility Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL) is planning to invest Rs 22,500 crore this fiscal to fuel its expansion plans.

“We are very well on track on our capex plans. This fiscal, we have earmarked an expenditure of Rs 22,500 crore for FY16, which we will use for expansion,” company’s Chairman and Managing Director R N Nayak told reporters here today.

He further said the company has already deployed Rs 4,000 crore for various projects in the last two months.

The company has earmarked a capital expenditure of up to Rs 1 lakh crore for five years, ending 2016-17.

MH17 shot down by Ukrainian missile: Russian missile maker

The Russian maker of the Buk air defense missile system said on Tuesday that it has concluded that Malaysian Airlines flight 17 was downed by an older version of the missile, which isn’t in service with the Russian military but is in Ukrainian arsenals.

Controversy continues over who shot down the plane last summer over eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people aboard. Ukraine and the West suspect it was destroyed by a Russian surface-to-air missile fired by Russian forces or separatist rebels fighting in the area.

First Kolkata- Agartala bus service via Dhaka reaches destination

The first direct bus between Kolkata and Agartala, which traverses across Bangladesh, crossing two international border checkpoints, reached its destination in Tripura

on Tuesday afternoon.

We are not here to kill the economy, says RBI’s Rajan

Rejecting suggestions that RBI’s rate cut today was to please the government, Governor Raghuram Rajan said there was a mis-impression that the Reserve Bank wanted to keep rates high to look “strong and firm”.

Young solar system found around nearby star

Astronomers have recently discovered a young solar system around a nearby star that resembles Earth’s solar system.

An international team led by Thayne Currie of the Subaru Telescope and using the Gemini South telescope revealed images a ring-like disk of debris surrounding a Sun-like star, in a birth environment similar to the Sun’s.

Currie, a Subaru Project Fellow research astronomer said that the discovery of the bright ring of orbiting the star HD 115600 changes everything.

Manik Sarkar lays foundation stone of Tripura’s first flyover

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has laid the foundation stone of the first flyover in the state to be built in Agartala.

The 2.2 kms flyover, which is expected to ease the growing traffic congestion, will be completed in 30 months time. The estimated cost of the building the flyover is Rs 250 crore.

The flyover will link AD Nagar police lines with Fire Brigade Square in the city’s busiest stretch of road.

The study found that women who took vitamin D and calcium supplements had the same number of menopausal symptoms as women who did not take the supplements.

The study, which involved 34,157 women ages 50-79, is part of the Women’s Health Initiative, one of the largest clinical trials ever undertaken to address the most common causes of death, disability and impaired quality of life in menopausal women.
