The Haryana Police have announced a cash reward of one lakh rupees for providing information on prime accused in All India Pre-Medical Test ( AIPMT) paper leak case, Roop Singh

Haryana Police stated that they have arrested 12 people, including three doctors, in connection with the case so far. The police said that the photograph of the accused has been circulated in the public and

assured that the name of the informer would be kept confidential.

Celebrations erupt in Cooch Behar after India, Bangladesh ratify LBA

Celebrations broke out amongst villagers in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar area after India and Bangladesh exchanged the Instruments of Ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA).

“With this agreement (LBA) now we are formally Indian citizen, we thank Indian Prime Minister, Bangladesh Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of West Bengal,” said a villager.

Earlier in the day, Foreign Secretaries of India and Bangladesh signed and exchanged the Instruments of Exchange in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina.

Scuffle inside Golden Temple on ‘Operation Blue Star’ anniversary

A scuffle broke out between two Sikh groups inside the Golden Temple premises here on Saturday on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of ‘Operation Blue Star’.

Brandishing swords, the people raised ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ slogans inside the temple premises.

The police is verifying the antecedents of five to six people, who appeared to have started the violence inside the temple premises.

According to reports, around 25 Sikh youths have been detained by the police.

Death toll in China ship disaster jumps to nearly 400

The death toll in the Chinese cruise ship that capsized in the mighty Yangtze river today jumped to nearly 400 as hundreds more bodies were found by disaster teams, making it China’s deadliest boat disaster in 70 years.

Hundreds more bodies from the Eastern Star were found after disaster teams stabilised the cruiser in an upright position, according to officials in the rescue headquarters in Jianli, central China’s Hubei Province.

The visiting Netherlands Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, paid a visit to the 26/11 memorial here today.

Rute, who is presently in India on a two-day official visit, laid a floral wreath in the honour of the martyrs and the people who were killed on that fateful day.

Seven people killed in car-trawler collision in Rajasthan

At least seven people were killed and more than 14 were injured in a road accident at Bilpur village in Rajathan on Saturday.

The incident took place when a car collided with a trawler on the Jaipur-Delhi Express Highway.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina on Saturday witnessed the exchange of instruments of ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement.

“History is made as the Instruments of Ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement are exchanged,” Prime Minister Modi said on twitter.

A few weeks ago, the Indian Parliament unanimously approved a Constitution amendment bill to give full effect to the Land Boundary Agreement of 1974 with Bangladesh and the related 2011 Protocol.

Bangladesh has summoned Myanmar envoy Myo Myint Than after Rakhine Affairs Minister U Zaw Aye Maung blamed economic opportunities and high population growth in Bangladesh for illegal migration.

Islamic State (IS) militants are recruiting trained technicians and scientists to make chemical weapons, said Australian minister for foreign affairs Julie Bishop.

According to News.com.au, Bishop said that IS militants used chemical in an attack in Iraq.

She said it is likely that IS extremists have western-trained experts who are able to build chemical weapons.

More serious efforts in chemical weapons development have been revealed through IS’ use of chlorine and its recruitment of highly technically trained professionals, said Bishop. (ANI)
