White Ferns defeat Indian eves by three wickets in second ODI
The New Zealand women’s team learnt from the loss at the first ODI and came on with a much improved performance, beating India by three wickets in the second match of the five-match series.
Opting to bat first, India were bundled out for a paltry 163 in 49.3 overs despite opener Thirush Kamini’s solid 61.
Chasing the target, the Black caps failed to get a promising start as they kept losing wickets at regular juncture before Sophie Devine (33) and Katie Perkins (30) steadied the ship by sharing 49-run stand for the fifth wicket.
