10 killed in beer distribution centre near Mexico

At least 10 people have been shot dead by the gunmen, who opened fire in a beer distribution centre near the Mexican city of Monterrey.

According to BBC, seven people had died on the spot while three other succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital.

The authorities said that the crime possibly involved drug cartel. They are currently investigating the links to the attack.

According to reports, the attack took place in a centre that distributed Corona brand beer to shops in Garcia, around 40 km from the city of Monterrey.

Sindh Govt. to allocate 9,000 acres of land to Pak army

The Sindh Government in Pakistan has decided to allocate 9,000 acres of forest land to the army for martyred soldiers and injured war veterans.

According to The Express Tribune, the decision was taken by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the CM House on Friday.

Shah said that the army had asked the Sindh Government for allotment of 35,521 acres land in Garhi Yasin, Shikarpur, in 2001.

Pakistan’s Forest Minister Gianchand Israni said the land in question was located in the Golo Daro area of Garhi Yasin.

A team of researchers has found that young adults who eat more fermented foods have fewer social anxiety symptoms.

University of Maryland study found a link between pickled foods and social anxiety, noting that those that regularly ate pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut and more were found to have reduced “neuroticism,” the Independent reported.

Researcher Matthew Hilimire said that it is likely that the probiotics in the fermented foods are favorably changing the environment in the gut, and changes in the gut in turn influence social anxiety.

Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh on Friday vent unhappiness over not getting his allotted accommodation despite being a Cabinet Minister for more than seven months, saying he understood the plight of those without a house.

“Roti, kapda aur makaan are essential requirements and if all three are assured to a person then his efficiency will definite increase,” he said addressing a workshop on housing. “Till today I have not got a house though I am a Minister for the last seven months. Georgia hunts down another tiger from flooded zoo

Georgian police on Friday were hunting down a tiger who escaped from the capital’s flood-ravaged zoo after after another tiger mauled a man to death before being killed.

“A large feline has been spotted by at least 15 local residents” on the outskirts of Tbilisi, Giorgi Metreveli, a professional hunter involved in the citywide police operation to locate the tiger, said in televised comments.

“The search for the animal is underway,” he said.

The Rustavi 2 television channel broadcast a few photos of the tiger that local residents had taken with their mobile phones.

Ducati to rev up India presence, over 10 models by year end

Italian super bike maker Ducati plans to sell over ten motorcycle models in India, priced between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 40 lakh, by the end of this year as it looks to ramp up operations after re-entering the country in March.

The company is on a network expansion drive and is looking to have 13 showrooms by the end of 2016. It plans to have five outlets by the end of this year.
